Got all the pics and the tubes back yesterday, I gotta say my guy makes these things pop, the Myrtle is spectacular, the Kabo Rosewood is very unique and all the rest are all very nice in their own ways. I hope to have everything done and have something for you to look at tomorrow.

Oh Ed.......these are really nice. I'm wondering if Santa has me down for one of these or if I need to take matters into my own hands.........

I love the myrtle and the cocobolo tubes that I already bought from you. And I'm looking forward to giving my son the black and white Ebony for Christmas. But I'm telling you, it's going to be really hard to not buy another for myself. That Amboyna is calling to me.......

I know how tempting it can be at times Mom and Freak, oh how I know, if you all just knew how much I have recently spent on wood in the past couple of months, you would trip out. I have hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of rare beauties stashed away in my shop just waiting on me to get time to cut em up. I see new and exciting pieces all the time that just call to me, I am really thinking about what gorgeous creations could come from them, and gotta remember I have already spent hella dough and shouldnt spend anymore but damn how can I afford to let these jewels slip away?????

It just aint right!

Hell buy one, dont buy one, its tough to weigh, you know I am gonna say " Yeah go ahead and get ya one".

Know I will make sure you get the best of the bunch!

Good morning, I have one really sweet Jamaican Blue Mahoe Tube and was thinking about doing a giveaway kinda thing for it and dont really have any ideas. Pls let me know what you all think I might could do!

Thank you.

Ed's TnT,
I loved the way my cocobolo tube hit so much I had to add a Kabo rosewood to my collection. I wanted the myrtle but that rosewood just stood out and I couldn't help myself. You got so many good tubes, your driving me crazy with all the choices ed.

Have you considered a raffle type deal with the mahoe tube, that way you could still profit maybe while having a lil bit of fun an sum lucky person will getta a good deal on a one of a kind blue mahoe vapor tube.

that would be cool. a contest. maybe a guessing game of some sort. guess which strain your vaping, guess Ed's shoe size, guess what wood species something is, guess one song that's on Ed's iPod - it's pretty open ended.
how about a contest to see who offered the best or funniest contest idea?

How bout this, hit me last night while I was putn in some long hours in the shop, a raffle is a great idea, I was thinking that rather than I benefit financially from it, I would want some one else to and why not a kid. I got onto the make a wish.org website, called for support, and found out there is no minimum for donations, they take it all. So I am thinking that anyone that would like to enter, would need to go by there at

http://www.wish.org/help/donate?&s_...||4529312186&gclid=CPqw4N-B8aUCFQPsKgodiVslnQ

donate $1, get your confirmation info and copy and paste it there in its own thread or here or where ever. Your donation would get you entered into the raffle and on the end date designated I would take all the entries and put em in a hat and draw the winner.

I really think this is a good idea and helping to make a child's wish is something we could all be a part of!

Hey Ed, great idea. It has more quality to it than guessing what's on your iPod.
Here's my confirmation info:
Number: 10930481
Date: December 16, 2010

Not sure how you would verify the authenticity of a donation confirmation but I'll leave that to you.

jeffp,
Number: 10930851 Date: December 16, 2010 I'm in fellars. If things go right for me that ole mahoe piece will come on down the road. Good luck to every one who puts in for the piece. Thinking of getting one of Ed's 3" grinders, but not clear on one thing:

Can it grind to a granular powder? This will be for use with a MFLB, so grind needs to be pretty fine. My 2" aluminum grinder doesn't quite get it there, so hoping one of Ed's will.

How does it grind finely when all that is doing the grinding is small metal pins?

Not doubting, just having a hard time visualizing how the pins intersect and whether they can grind finely enough.

Hello neal and thanks for the inquiry, pardon my late response, have been outa town all last week and have been slowly trying to get caught up.

Well I do like my 3" grinders, not so big and bulky in the hand and they do really well for my MZ's that I have, I grind until I feel good about it, alot of it is fine grade but is a mixture or the two, after grinding I always take the goodies and dump em into a small container and what isnt ground finely I rub between my finger tips until it is the way I like. I know I have sold a few of my wooden grinders to users here and havent heard any complaints what so ever of their functionality. JeffP would be a great guy to ask, let me see if I can get him to share his thoughts. I hope I am able to help you make the right decision and do hope to hear from you again soon.

Ed's are good wood grinders and inexpensive. I also like the way they look. In all fairness and honesty the small two piece space case does grind more finely - it depends on what you want and need, I have both grinders and like them both.

I'd just like to say any Zap owner who hasn't tried one of Ed's tubes doesn't know what they're missing.

When I bought mine it was more of a novelty thing. I figured I'd use it every now and then. It has become my go to vapor tube. I really like the larger inner diameter of the wood tubes. I also like the feel, almost like a blunt. Cleaning isn't nearly the problem I thought it would be. It isn't a problem at all. I just bought two more (Myrtle and Ebony) to take the pressure off of the Amboyna tube I bought a couple of months ago. Sorry I missed the zebrawood, sorry I can't afford to buy them all at once.

Keep on keeping on, Ed!

Oh, and please try to get more blue mahoe. I'm fiendin' for that shit man... :D

Wow, damn must be my lucky day to have all this positive feedback coming in. You all dont know how much I appreciate it.

I have a hellova slab of Mahoe just waiting to be ripped up, it has some of the most amazing figure I have seen in that species yet, I like to get down on what I have already made up in a species before I go ripping into a piece. Just like to make sure I am in need of it before just sawing it up.

Got alot of new stuff that is gonna be coming out this year with all the new species I have been putting back and some of the most figured of them all as well, just a little hint - have some eye popping curly koa and a couple small slabs of gator skin afzelia, as well as quite a few caps and blocks of Australian burls.

So be on the look out for all the good things to happen in the year to come. Thank you to you all for the support over that last year, I look forward to more in the future!

Thanks Ed and JeffP. I'll be getting the 3" just for the aesthetic value - love things made with wood and work with wood quite a bit.

I will report back with some photos of the level of fineness of grind. The MFLB is my main device, so that's the thing that drives what degree of grind I want. Even if the wood grinder just ends up being the first stage of grinding, it will add to the enjoyment of the Ritual !!

I'll second reece's request for a few Mahoe tubes Ed. I'd be in line for one too.

I also really like Ed's tubes for the Zap. Nice big draw. I use my myrtle and cocobolo regularly. Bought my son the Ebony and he really digs it. Unfortunately, my little vapor hound unwrapped and tried to eat the zebrawood bat I bought for him. Little fucker. I'll probably be hitting Ed up around his birthday for something to replace it.

Out of multiple types of glass tubes, water filtered pipes, and custom designed pieces for the PD over the last year or so, Ed's wooden stems are by far the best option!
Highly recommended for anyone who dislikes sucking on plastic and doesnt want to sacrifice the rugged simplicity of the log style vapes!
