Based on those parameters, I shouldn't see any issue. And after another session last night (3 consecutive pulls with the dial at 12 o'clock), the area in the corner got to about 97 degrees, but then gradually cooled down to normal temp within about an hour or so with the batteries in place.

Sorry I didn't post an initial review or anything. I made a video of my first real sesh with the Zion but never got around to finishing the upload
. I'll probably get it up tonight. Low temps are awesome and I've yet to go past about 75-80%. I sit around 60% a lot. It looks like I'll get like 6-8 seshes per charge with the LGHE4s. Haven't tested the LGhg2 yet.
Bit harsher than the Milaana so far but I think that's cuz the screens are new and the airflow is insane still. Lower temps smooth as fuck tho.
0% is hot enough to get smooth terpe hits without visible vapor. And 100% is easily hot evough to combust (yet to try it tho .. I could've combusted on 80% if I tried) and should be plenty hot for concentrates.

The temp doesn't really seem to climb once it steadied out. I know it technically is but it's not substantial enough to where you can't just set the dial and forget about it. On like 60% I never worry about combustion. Just hold the button down and rip away.
I need a longer male adapter to mate with water (in my video you see me .. after a minute of prepping .. that I can't mate this with my bubbler lol.) it's going to shine through water though. I'll find some silicone or rig something up.
I think this is as close as the world comes to a potable lsv. It feels so similar. Except I can walk around the house with it and it's self contained.
Couldn't be happier.

I returned it. Ryan had offered me a refund. That was never in question. It's just that he wasn't going to exchange it for another unit that would meet my specs. I posted his explanations. I just wasn't going to accept what I considered an obvious quality flaw -one that I would have to look at everyday. Like I've said, I didn't get in early. Prices increased significantly in January 2016 when the Store reopened. Couldn't justify it.
He offered to "split the back off, sand it flat, and glue it back on" but no.
What can I say...Being on FC has turned me into a wood guy! I've spent a year and a half drooling at everybody's Spalted Milaanas, 2-toned Sticky Brick Jr.'s, exotic Vapmans -let's not even start talking about Dan's Nomads). I have a Burl Vapcap I try to polish once a month! So all that.
@Vapenvy -your Zion is beautiful. What I would of gave to receive that!

Ryan and me are good. I'm not jumping ship. I respect that he was so honest with me (which I posted). It's just that: Suddenly, at one point this year, the Zion became a means to an end (The Splinter).
So I've turned my attention to that product. The Splinter being a mini-log can be made to higher quality standards with less work. I envision exotic woods after a while. With all the RBT tech. Ryan is super-excited that The Splinter could be his first chance at a real product. So I support him in that.

Going to try to use a thin strip of duct tape wrapped around an old stem to create a seal with my bubbler. If it works tonight I'll practice and get a video of a sesh or 2 this Wednesday.

Loved your Vid, dude. And very pleased you're pleased. I KNEW you would be, but very happy. I remember the first time I hit Venus what was most stunning was the flavor. It was the first really flavorful vape I had. I could get flavor from others, but nowhere near as easily or as consistent.
Enjoy it, man. I'm sure you will. And get a decent M2M cause you are gonna love it in water. I recommend OGB. And be sure you say RBT so you are sure to get a US (19/22mm) joint.
And BTW, you can't hide from us now. We saw your face...

@CaptVapor: yes it's simply incredible. It keeps going and going, and the taste stays fresh. And you get so much vapor... then look at the bowl and it's still very light in color!
It's the easiest convection vape I have, despite having no closed loop temperature regulation.

I found at my local headshop a longer m2m than the one I own .. but it looks like it's JUST long enough to either clear by half a mm or not be long enough by half a mm. And they won't let me test and return for cash. Only swap for a different item...and it's the only one they have that's even close. It's $10 so could be worth the try, I don't want to spend the extra price at ogb when I could just Jerry rig something. But we'll see what it comes down to. Idk if I should risk getting that one from the headshop that might not clear ... ugh. Why can't I just go home, throw it on my Zion, and see :/. And yes .. it is US joint. I lucked out. I even showed them the difference "yes ... they are both 18mm .. but they are different sized 18mms" I bet they thought I was crazy.

Yeah, the overhang on the Zion makes a standard M2M kinda close. I had OGB make mine about 4" to be sure there was no conflict with anything I might want to use. I get not wanting to pay for custom, but I use them so often and with so many pieces it was worth it for me.

My first impressions using Zion with water!
Rigged something with an old stem and tried it with water. It's not even fair compared to the Milaana in terms of how easy it is. I just set it on like 60%, 5 sec preheat, and let her rip. Don't even need to let off the trigger, wasn't even close to combusting, and it went from green, to yellow, to light brown, to brown, without a single dark spot. Everything was just a smooth color all the way through. Stirred after every hit, too easy not to when you aren't on the go. Man, I'm really loving this.
Anyone who hasn't gotten their units yet are going to love it through water. Still a chance of combustion if you turn the temps too high like the Nano or the 7th Floor vapes, but staying in the range I was at, I didn't come close. It's just a press the trigger and forget about it kind of deal. Maybe if I stayed on the trigger longer I could've gotten closer, but the hits were as big as I could take. Still more testing to do of course, that was only first bowl and first impressions.
I'll get a video on Wednesday !

Also to people only getting like 3-4 seshes per charge .. I'm getting more like 8. I used my Zi all day, probably 4-5 quick seshes and thought it was low on battery so I threw it on the charger. I shit you not they were at 4.02 still.
