MoltenTiger....... Your opinions on the MV1 would change if you used it for a day. Your 1.5g bowl is not needed. You could easily go .07 and get 2-4 draws that would each equal a normal binger hit in performance. The amount of extraction and results from the MV1 are incredible. I could take 10-14 draws off my Air or Vapcap and still not as ripped as 3 draws on my MV1. It puts me into outer space with results....really. And it is not that the Air and Vapcap cant get me really ripped....it is not not anywhere on the same level of effects....amazing really.

Is this your first experience with a convection vaporizer?

I can crush my Vapcap bowl in one heat cycle, one hit full extraction. The Air is definitely a pretty slow extractor.

I actually should of stated 10-14 from my Air...and 6-9 from my Vapcap. Yes....the Air is a session vape with too much draw resistance... much different animal than the vapcap in use and extraction.

The MV1....is on a totally different level....much higher than the vapcap in extraction. Until you try one and it works correctly....you will have no idea how much different they are in comparison.

How is the heat retention in the mv-1? That's my biggest question. Is it non existent or does the bowl/crucible retain any heat after you let off the power. I don't think I've read anything from anyone about that which is leading me to think it has absolute none.
After a session I open it up and literally blow lightly on it twice real quick(ala @vc). It is easily popped out then. I dump right away, blow out bowl and screen, then hit the screen with my brush to poke any particulate out for next bowl. I keep the crucible stored in the unit. Until that sweet holder is released!:brow:

Shay.... what temps were you using and how close back to back were your last few draws?
Red level 1. I only get 3 draws at that level. 2 amber I get so many more then step up. Regulated temp unlike mi which is unregulated. Start slow to build the heat in the load up then I whale like, well depends on the mood:nod: Hits were within a 10 count apart:)

Have you used a Ti tip? I know the SS tip can hold the heat much longer to clear a load...also I use the Ti at biggest load setting.

Ya the MV1 is the closest to convection I have used. But I think my unit is running too hot compared to what Shay is saying. No way could I run on amber or the preset reds. I have to wait for the app to reset this thing and make sure it is running at correct temp levels per settings.

The heater and jetted air paths in MV1 are like a jet blow torch...almost seems way too much. I wish I could slow it down, so I usually left of the trigger early if I want to go slower or longer with a load. I have used e-juice mods before as well.

Try lowering the mp to half way. It restricts flow accordingly

(zombie) Woof.
Very. It won’t give you a sore throat. Can it make me cough? Absolutley, if I allow it, because initially a majority of the vapor is received late in the draw... but you can work around that if you get creative.

I'll agree. I usually vape everything high temp through water but with this I've actually put the bong down.
I also do not feel the need to run the MV1 through my waterpiece.
I cant wait for aftermarket stems to hit the market.
Id grab a longer stem, or one that has a added cooling design ( forgot the name)..

Introducing the Ghost MV1

INFORMATION FROM GHOST VAPES:

Advanced Engineering and Purity

The MV1 has been designed and engineered entirely from the ground up using only custom designed, tooled and manufactured components. The use of medical grade materials and proprietary technology have resulted in a product that delivers a truly revolutionary vaping experience.

The MV1 distributes heat evenly thanks to an innovative diffuser. This means no charring of material and no need to stir in-between vapes. The even distribution of heat also provides excellence in purity for the duration of every session, retaining all the flavors of your favorite herbs, with zero taste distortion. With the GHOST MV1 you will actually taste what you smell.

On-Demand Heating

Thanks to its advanced patented Heat Exchanger, The MV1 can go from a standing start to your selected temperature in a matter of seconds while holding it there precisely for the longest of vapes.

This On-Demand technology ensures that the removable crucible remains cool between vapes, preventing material degradation and allowing for multiple sessions.

Power Efficiency

The high capacity removable battery pack provides massive power, safely and efficiently thanks to its own dedicated circuit board.

The revolutionary heat exchanger and heat sink work together to make the MV1 more efficient than conventional products. Maximising efficiency and reducing overall power consumption, further increases the battery life between charges.

The exclusive use of medical and food grade materials, combined with true convection and our proprietary heat sink, delivers cool vapor of the highest purity every session.

Temperature Control with the Ghost App

The MV1 comes with 4 default temperature settings on the device (3 settings for herb and 1 for concentrates/ extracts). But with the GHOST app you'll open up the additional temperature controls to enhance and tailor your vaping experience.

2 favorite settings allow full control and flexibility of temperature for both herbs and concentrates. Change the temperature in between vapes and then save your ideal settings.

Lock My Vape

Secure your device from the App in the event that you misplace, leave it behind or lose it and you can't track it down with the 'Find My Vape' feature.

Just log into your account to lock or unlock the device, safe in the knowledge that no-one will be able to use your MV1 without your say-so.

This is the best vaporizer I have ever used. I have it eight days. This On Demand Dynamic Convection is out of this world. I am happy I was early on the waiting list. There will be many more people wanting this vape. Wow.

@Stu , et al - what happened to the thread in the pre-release section? I thought that they normally just moved the thread over to the regular section when it was released??

@VCBud - nope, its not scraping against the silicone in the heat sink. The glass MP is scraping on the ceramic in the heat sink and Ghost has acknowledged that they tightened the tolerance of that opening a bit too much and will be sending out replacement parts after tooling is modified.

P.S. - while I hear a little bit of scratching, it has NOT scratched up my glass MP at all. Key right now is to pull the MP straight out being careful not to angle it to any side and its OK.

All - As far as my two main gripes, the lid not latching and the display/controls.

I will get used to one button/idiot lights and will be able to operate the vape without problems, but I still think that design is sub-optimum. This falls into just a preference...a difference of design philosophy, if you will.

The lid not latching is, IMO, a serious issue for anybody with with dexterity issues or movement disorders. Those medical marijuana patients will not like the current design at all as will not a number of other people once they dump a load on their carpet trying to get it into the device. I understand that Ghost feels that there is a technical performance reason for the current implementation, but they need to trot that reason out to the community. IMO, it better be a REAL BIG REASON to justify the trade off of this fiddly lid design.

Probably not, but what about locking it up so little johnny doesn't take it out for a spin with his playground friends? Or, if it got stolen. I too wonder how this is implemented. A simple lock over bluetooth from the app would do for the former condition and I don't think there will be so many vapes stolen to make this a very useful feature...but who knows?

I share the concern about how you can lock and unlock a device from Ghost's website. Just exactly how was this implemented? Exactly what is the signalling path?

Mine is charging on the fast charger right now.

Package is first class and so far all of my dealing with Ghost have been excellent. Rather like these guys even though we differ on how some features/functions were implemented.

Vape feels VERY solid and well built in my hand. Yes, there is silicone to seal against...I believe....the swing arm and indeed will be in the vapor path. It doesn't alarm me, personally, but we are all entitled to our own material fears and fetishes.

Well, until it gets charged and I use it, that's all for now.

I think there is some tightness, I dont mind it keeps things air tight. Its really not that hard putting in the crucible and put a lid on it. Many of these complaints will just go away because with me it felt really weird my first few sessions, but you get used to it. I dont mean to take others complaints lightly. But many are silly, squeek Crucible door, thats the silicone snugging the Crucible air tight, squeek sound. This is the bong! ^ ^ ^ THE VAPE . MASTER ^ ^ ^

Salutations!

So far I adore my Ghost, however is anyone else not getting vapor until their third or fourth draw? Currently using level two amber setting and drawing 15 seconds.

I ordered mine on Friday afternoon. This morning, I received notice from Ghost that it had shipped. A bit later, UPS notified me that the scheduled delivery date of Tuesday has been revised to Monday. If all goes well, tomorrow night I’ll know whether or not it’s just hype.

I don’t have anything ground fine. Is that a key to success?
