Unless I am really cranking the heat and not managing the heat/draw rate I have never had a problem with what grokit is suggesting even when it falls (often) onto the heater screen. As a safety you could always turn down the heat a notch or two too.

I know the answer is probably somewhere in this thread, but...

Does the element wear out eventually? I don't seem to get the hit that I used to and it seems like only the top half of the ceramic glows red.

Do they need to be replaced eventually? I leave mine on for hours...

Eventually they wear out.
Mine was on for 5 years straight... then it was in an evidence locker for two years, and now it has been on 24/7 again for 2 years.
I am starting to notice that the red glow is up higher than on my newer SSV (also on 24/7), which has 3/4 of the rod "aglow" The older SSV now has only the top half of the rod "aglow", but it still works wonderfully.
I have cranked it up from 12:30 to 1:00 on the dial for good hits.

I called them and the fellow told me to mail it in and he will fix whatever is wrong with it for a flat fee of $25.

He said that the heating rod was bombproof and rarely goes out. He was thinking it was the knob -it goes out much more often than the ceramic ever does.

Cool.

i'd rather have a $25 flat fee than a lifetime guarantee with lots of conditions.

Hey guys it's been awhile since I've been on here,I've been so busy with work.
I have been considering downsizing a couple of my vapes
I have a limited edition ssv and some extra accessorys and glass.
Has a nice carry case and is in great shape.
What would be a reasonable price to ask? Obviously I would post a bunch of pictures in the buy and sell forum

Run the advance option on an eBay search for your vape and select completed auction. That will get you an idea of prices on that market. Its a place to start. Good Luck

You can find the ssv for around the same price as an EQ. I would go for a ssv honestly, there are also lots of other great options nowadays, but if whip is what you want, I’d go ssv.

The vape choices you have listed are very popular and you are right there are often different advantages with different vapes. If you can tell us what you are looking for out of a new vape you may get different (possibly better) suggestions. The devil is always in the details.:)

Any possibilities for you to try both of them ?
This would surely solve your question ! ;)

To my point SSV with @DDave mod kit satisfied all my expectations !

I dont know how to use the quotes properly yet so will answer all at once and hopefully everyone can keep up with me....for a start im looking for a more satisfying hit to the chest if you get me,the volcano is too smooth in a way, unless you want to make it a herb hog!ive got a high tolerance so something that hits hard is needed as well.i vape alone almost always so want this to be an ideal solo vape as i already have the party piece so to speak.i dont have any vaping friends(im leading the way in my circle ) so i cant try either of them out before i buy,im leaning towards thr ssv just because i think withb it being a dedicated whip vape is must be better than the extreme.
