I have the full variety from single to quad jet. Single and double jets give you the best experience in terms of temperature control for sure. Triple or quad jets are just good for outdoors when there is some wind. I started with a Cohiba quad jet and the Vapman single jet and liked the quad jet more at the beginning. This has changed with grown "expertise".

My general rule of thumb now is:
  • Single or double jet as standard, indoor and outdoor with good weather
  • Triple jet and above only on windy days outdoor or if I am too stoned to care

Thoroughly enjoying my VapCaps and looking forward to picking up a few more, it took me a little while to get the hang of them because I'm an idiot but they're definitely awesome
@VCBud - if you are enjoying the Vapcap so much how about showing them some love by reviewing them on your YT channel?

The M is tempting as anything glass will break at my house. Seems like a lot of bang for the buck. Stainless is hard to hurt. I have used Vapor Genies a lot as they were my main vape for four year

Hiya mate, IME it is so much bang. It kicks my ass in a unique way, example? I fully intended to holler at you 3-4 hours ago, I only paused for a couple of small loads in the M! I am a novice with it, no expertise at all, just finding my way. So far, I've only used 2-jet lighters indoors; once I mastered spinning in my left and moving the torch correctly, I get to click really quickly. I'd say within 5 days the motion of heating miraculously became natural and now I'm fine-tuning, and I am a complete spaz when it comes to that sort of coordination! I'm sure most people here picked it up in an afternoon, I'm slooow.

I'm going to order the larger of the 2 kits as it has everything I really want to do. I need to learn to break down and service it as @Dynalowrider suggests and I want to try a @Squiby filter sandwich; it seems to have everything one might need.

I burnt myself a no. of times on my thighs when I was wearing shorts when I got it this summer. And I once put the end to my lips.
ouch.gif
So I learned the painful way to be cognizant of the cap & not swing the arm holding it in an unwieldy manner.
@Summer is a special case. :o:D Most people will NOT burn themselves, or not more than a singe. But, we ARE talking torch lighters and hot metal so its possible for ANYONE to burn themselves if they are careless (should that read not careful?). My fear of very hot metal means I would NEVER buy a Supreme v3, for example. The VCs are really not that much of a burn concern in comparison.
There are a zillion different combos to satisfy any tastes, 2 kinds of metal (3 if Damascus is available somewhere) and many kinds of wood. I have a couple Ms and I like them, but their greatest feature (to me) is their price. The steel is cool and all, but for me, rather than buy an M for $50 and throw a $40 Ti tip on it, I would rather get a Woody or Woody S for around the same price and not have a body that can get and stay hot with extended use or multiple users. If I was thinking that I would use it with water more than half the time I would go Nonavong for ease of connection with glass, also at about that price. Or get a Uni with a Ti body or stem if I was after metal, tho I don't remember what that would cost.

But that's me and that's the point about infinite variety. The panoply of options and the modular design are, to me, two of DVs greatest strengths. There are others...

Added: Just to clarify, I DO get the difference between $50 and $100. ;)

smoke but no combustion??? is that possible??

so i just packed my Ti Woody and decided to try a single jet torch i had laying around that i found. i heated it towards the middle of the cap. took longer than normal but i figured it was cause i was using a single over my usual dual torch. hear the click and as i am raising it up to my lips i see vapor/smoke coming out the cap. i figured i combusted for sure (not sure how since i stopped at the click). i decide to take a pull anyways and brace myself for the awful taste and instead i get a decent vapor. a little hotter than normal and slightly harsher than normal but not "smoke" taste. i then let it cool down and take off the cap and it is chocolate brown and not a hint of black. so i didn't combust. yet i saw it coming out of the cap before i took a pull?

any ideas?

Funny. I see that on occasion too and always worry that I've combusted but I rarely have. It seems to happen more when I am using a single flame torch than my triple. I don't love the taste when that happens but as long as I'm not combusting, I'm happy. I think it is vapor rather than smoke, but right on the edge.

I did get a wisp of vapor out of my Jarhead once, but just once, and that didn't combust either.

The only time I still accidentally combust is if I'm heating the very base of the cap while outside when it's windy. For some reason, it clicks way too late, I can smell/taste plant matter burning when it clicks, so I have to anticipate and stop heating before I hear any click.

Shit happens. Fire burns.
I want a bumper sticker that says "Shit happens. Fire burns. Just VAPE."

I just read all 784 pages of this thread. Took me 2 days, but was a great informative read. Love you guys and gals. Just saying.

Thank you for saying this, @Dynalowrider recommended in here somewhere that everyone should do just that so I took him up on it. I found it to be very worthwhile and quite entertaining as well. I knew the VCs were for me based on that reading. I also learned this thread was where the party is, and also where you see kindness, support and a generosity of spirit that makes it a bit unique. Some folks don't want to take the time or effort, their loss. It's not like it's War and Peace...

happy camper....
By golly, I am blessed. I've been looking forward to next Tuesday every day this week, because that's when my @Pipes Induction Heater that I ordered on Monday was to arrive. Well, lo and behold...it came in the mail today! 5 days from the order to the front door! What a hoot! Okay, it's all hooked up by my warm side and waiting for my dose later on today (this evening). Can't believe how small this thing is. Looks terrific too!

Soooo....I'll be doing a newbie review in a day or two, after gaining some experience with this wonderful thing. And...please just jump in here and give me any newbie advice that you think I should know. I'm assuming I just put my Omni in it and push down and wait for the click, right? :) Or should I do the one-one-thousand two one-thousand three-one thousand thing after the click?

Thanks @Pipes...you have made me one happy camper today. ;)

if all you want is flavor and light clouds, respect the click. If you want to get some good clouds and sacrifice a little flavor then do the one one thousand, two one thousand, etc but i wouldn't go past 4 one thousand. personally, without water, i like no more that 2 one thousand past the click. sometime i just respect the click the whole time and make a long session out of it

Exact same thoughts. Sometimes it's nice to go hard and heavy but you'll never be disappointed with the taste and effects of respecting the click.

Went to the City today.
Bought the first water bong since 1989 to use it with my OmniVong.
Just used it for the first time. BEST. DECISION. EVER.
That combination is so great, I could explode happily right here, right now. Boy, is that great... :)

I did the same thing a week ago. Beaker bong with Ti Omni and Nonavong body.

Off. The. Hook. I can't believe how much fuller and stronger the hits are. Ridiculous.

The M model looks like something interesting to me and my style, very basic with certain stealth aspects. No water or tube or glassware. Just me and my weed. With the vapes I have, would I find a use for it. Do these Vapcap hit hard enough to satisfy. Will I burn the shit out of myself? Anyone have an Omni and an M?
I have both the M and Ti Omni.

They are both excellent. The Omni heats faster, and dumps heat into the bud faster, so it extracts quicker - 2 or 3 heat cycles to full extraction (chocolate to coffee brown AVB).

The adjustable airflow is a nice touch.

The M has more mass, so it heats slower and dumps heat into the load slower, so will give you 4-6 heat cycles to get full extraction, in my experience. Hits on the Omni are a little stronger than the M as a result.
