Why not get the Skeletor. Since it runs on batteries, it's portable so you can take it anywhere to use. It only takes several hours to charge & then will run on batteries for approx. 300 dips so it will be weeks between charges so I'm sure you can find 3 hours every so many weeks to charge it. No?

I worry about the enclosure, and I thought I had to buy replaceable batteries as well?

Yes, you have to buy the 3 rechargeable batteries (cost me $19), but you're gonna have them for a year or more. For the Skeletor, you pick your own enclosure & then make the 2 holes in it for the a/c charge outlet & the heating coil on top. Here's the FAQ

on my list it's third after vaponic and vapman - mainly bc the taste is gone pretty quick in comparison...
but it works decent - a good tactic to prevent gunking up of the tip is to use little baskets made out of 15mm screen for hash, some types can create a real hard to clean mess...

Today on a whim I finally bought a bong. I've never used one before, but I did purchase a NonaVong body along with my Omni, so... I have to, right?

I ended up with a simple beaker style with a slotted downstem.
I have now experienced the biggest, fullest, smoothest rips ever from my VapCap. :rockon:

Much like the difference between the M and Omni, Omni + bong = next level.

How did I not get around to this earlier? :peace:

1) I turn my triple torch butane on and spin the Omni over the flame until the click, but after the click I can't wait too long and suddenly I hear the cool down click. 2) First or second hits I can see the vapor, but the following third or fourth hit there's almost no vapor whatsoever. What's up? I always fill the entire cap.

Hello Alex,

First off - keep at it... You will find your groove with the dynavap eventually!

Only having one hit per click is not unusual. Things vary a lot depending on material, lighter, technique, atmospheric pressure etc etc...

If you feel like you are not getting enough vapor.. Try heating further down the cap (towards the mouth piece end of the cap) for higher temps... Failing that heat a second or two past the click....

This recent talk of the OG made me want to use mine, it's been a while as I mainly use my @phattpiggie Twist or Omni now, with the occasional VonG use.

Using the OG again made me remember why I liked it so much, I still think it hits better than any Ti tip. I packed a full load, around .07 grams, and got 6 (!?!) heat cycles, heating past the click for 5 of them. The flavor was good until the last cycle, that's when I knew it was beat. This was the end result, it looked lighter in person:

I prefer the look and feel of my @phattpiggie Twist by far. The adjustable airflow of my Omni is a great feature and you can't beat the durability. The OG is cheap, fragile, and not much to look at (just like me), but it performs the best in my opinion.

@SloJimFizz I've run out of butane, lol! My local shop and grocery stores only have cheap dirty butane; many stores here are closed on Sunday. There is a proper tobacconist not far, been there for 150+ yrs and they will have the good stuff. Second lighter arrived yesterday (Sat), after some time with it I felt things were coming together and then kaput. No more. Unfortunately, it was after 6pm so all the shops were closed.

The first lighter was downright dangerous, wouldn't shut off sometimes, so I likely won't refill it. I like the second twin flame and I'm hopeful the third is okay and arriving tomorrow. I've got some dexterity/nerve issues and at first trying to rotate the VC while heating the cap correctly was impossible lol! Like patting your head and rubbing your stomach, I suck at that too. So I've not had the epiphany but I'm tenacious and getting back on that horse tomorrow. And I'm practicing spinning it in both hands today, George makes it look so easy! Love the way it feels in my hand.

Last thing, thanks to @Summer for telling me to go back to TBO. I'd read it before but theory is different than having one in your hand, I realised it doesn't stick with me the same way. There were many helpful tips in there that I had not remembered. Even though I've read the whole thread at one point or another, I know now it deserves revisiting. Some nights I can't sleep & so vape/read until the sun comes up, FC is always open!

we hunkered down in our imagination last night with our Ryobi, and went to sleep. We fortunately woke up to see
the sun come up, while Irma slammed into the Keys.....:doh:

It's all good in New Englandy Massachusetts. :o

Yep. I have always kept a cartridge concentrate pen at the ready for middle of the night needs. Now that I have a Pipes Jarhead, I just preload a couple of caps and take a hit or two at the middle of the night potty break. Seriously, for you VC lovers, if you're not on the Pipes waiting list, then you need to get busy. Fucking game changer in terms of the practical application of technology to vaping.

And Congratulations for that! One of the best games I ever watched. My first thought was that NE would blow KC out. Then I remembered the times Brady doesn't do so good after all. Really wasn't his day (he over-threw everybody). And I loved the way KC did the come-back after a rotten start.

Yes, @turk the Omni's are ALWAYS good and I'm enjoying mine today! :D
