Thanks SM and team! that post just made my life, slowly but surely imma get me a cloud! now lets get this thread back on track and talk about how awesome this new upcoming vape is really going to be now that no one can complain about release information :D

Congratulations to VXL Team on achieving this goal we've all been eagerly waiting for
And I really hope you guys are little more at ease now, even tho the job is just beginning.

Now,.. lets get back on track with complaining about European release information :D
j/k

But still, it's a very important "question" to be answered sooner the better.
PowerNerd, SM,? ... what's the status with it atm, I suppose universal "adapter" idea was scrapped.
How hard will it be to convert VXC for 220-240V/50Hz and will that raise it's final cost ?
How much Watts does VXC draw max ?
What do you guys anticipate how long will it take to hit Eu market ?

By my approximation I expect 6 months if everything goes smooth, up to one year.
Now that is mucho time, especially if you've been already waiting patiently for two full years. =)

I chose Sovereignty HT, will mine wait for Eu release or will there be new batch made at that time.
Would it be possible to get U.S.A. version in this first wave of shipped units ?

Is there a link to pictures or videos of the two HT's? I thought there use to be a link on the VXC website. Were those taken down with all the other video's?

I know it's too soon, but I'm already obsessively checking my gmail, spam and all.

It's like being a little kid at xmas, but xmas could come at any time, could be tomorrow, or it could be weeks or months...

Exciting to keep moving forward.

And, for the record, I would totally send cash, check, money order, wire transfer, whatever.

All the vid's but one were taken down. The remaining vid shows the Showerdome.

Maybe a more important thing to consider is how you like your hit to feel. Either perc will provide ample amounts of diffusion for vapor but the feeling of the hit should be a little different. The circs should be slightly "airier" (if that's a word) with more uniform bubbles and a little less drag. The trees should be a little tighter, with chuggier bubbles and slightly more restriction or drag. In real life the actual differences are quite small honestly, and it takes a lot of experience and a lot of attention to really "get it" :2c:

Thanks pv for lending your thoughts, I think feel is really important as well. Back in the 80's we didn't have circs and trees. I guess a visit to my local glass shop might be in order. I know they have some models with water in them so you can try a "pull". I just don't want to waste their time since I'm not going to buy anything though . . . Maybe the best thing to do is just ponder it until I "have" to choose then flip a coin.

One benefit of the circ over the trees IMO is that, no matter how light you hit the circs, every slit will fire for maximum efficiency in cooling.
However, with the trees, if you dont pull hard enough just the top holes will fire, so there is more technique required to getting "the perfect hit".

A second benefit is there's simply less glass in the airpath. There is going to be more (albeit slight) vapor condensation by forcing it thru a bunch of arms instead of one ball.
The HydraTree is also taller, so that's a small bit more glass in the airpath as well.

These are really small bonuses but they're what helped make my choice.

(While technically the same holds true for the sov trees, the gridded diffusion makes up for that :2c:)

We'll all get our VXCs when we do, but speculating on delivery dates can be fun. Are these assumptions fair?

- If there were 1200 preorders, not all 1200 will still want and be able to make the purchase when their names come up. Times are tough all over. 85% purchase rate maybe?

- They may be starting as low as 20/week, but should get up to 100 and beyond/week very soon. That would get them through the preorder by the end of April.

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts on tree vs circ on the HTs. Still not sure what I am going to do, actually leaning back towards the shower-dome now. The cir looks easier to use, easier to clean, recessed joint, lower profile . . . argh. What a wonderful conundrum to have! :)

Which HT would be quieter, and which would be smoother (in terms of needing just an even inhalation)?

The tree design should be slightly quieter, while the showerdome will have less drag. This is all spelled out in more detail, just one page back, in a repost by me, and a post by partially veiled.

Max: I appreciate the reference, but I asked my question because the description that you earlier supplied is not clear about which would be quieter: "ShowerDome - Drag free, nice rumble, great diffusion, medium sized bubbles. HydraTree - 'smoother' sounding, instead of rumble, more of a fizzy sound." That post describes different sounds, but does not speak to volume. Perhaps you were assuming, or suggesting that I should assume, that a fizz is quieter than a rumble, but that certainly is not always true, particularly in the way that sound travels. Thanks.

Either HT will not be uber loud, but please consider the VX itself makes a whistle as the air bounces around the vape path. This doesn't bother me, but probaly louder then either stock HT if for some reason any noise is an issue.

Oh, that's an excellent point. I didn't realize that. Is the whole set up still quieter than a Volcano, for example? For my purposes, the Volcano is too loud. Thank you.

Would you say it's loud enough to draw unwanted attention if you are vaping in a house that frowns upon pot? Lost my apartment a few months ago and I'm back with the parents. If the Cloud is too noisy I may have a real problem on my hands.

You could always hit lighter for less whisle, in my head smell would be much much more of an issue. The sound wouldn't be heard in another room, or over a tv or a little music. Its not very loud, and don't see why anyone would have issues unless riping right by someone else, like behind their back in a quiet room or something.

Still am baffled this could be an issue for stealth vs smell inside.

he did say he lives back with his parents, im sure he's got the smell issue down with either a sploof or just blowin it out the window and makin sure none of it gets in the room. Honestly its prob nothing like a bong sound, because the loudest most noticeable part of a bong is when you pull your slide, in this case you wouldnt, unless you lift the unit out and essentially "clear" it every hit if you must have to

I would think he would especially want to clear the tree with each hit, lest vapor waft up from the glass. Not to speak of losing vapor. One would have to have paper thin walls and no ambient noise to hear a tree from the next room. Less water will help (and make the hit easier, too), as will a slower pull. Or just hit it in the closet. :D I agree that odor would have by far the likeliest risk of discovery.

I have a HEPA Air Purifier and use a Smoke Buddy for exhaling. The Smoke Buddy is a true godsend. The only issues I have with smell are when I'm grinding the bud, but I've learned to pre-grind a few days worth and do so with an open window and fan on low. My guess is the sound just seems louder in the videos, thanks for clarifying IAmKrazy2.
