LA Kush was a limited time strain for what I know. It was probably only local to the LA area too.

I've been enjoying BK a lot. I only pick them up as a DOGO getting 2 of the gram cartridges for $65

I love the new Kush Kola, it tastes just like Coke!!! Abracadabra is a good flavor too, it's definitely a Lime flavor.

Yeah I am in LA too, but never saw that one or the other two new ones you mentioned... That is a phenomenal price though, I haven't gotten lower than $44 a piece yet, still one place

Nice, which dispensary do you get them for $44? I gotta restock on that Kush Kola haha. If you're looking for the DOGOs, then California Herbal Remedies will have a Brass Knuckles Sale like once every 1-2 months.

Ah that's a little far from me, and only once every month or two? I guess if you hear of the sale in time let me know, may be worth the trip! I've been going to stickymedz in culver, every day 2-5pm I think happy hour 20% off is amazing. Great herbs and wide selection too. Hopefully they'll get more of these new flavors so I can try that Kola for myself soon, they tend to go fast so best bet is a restock day probably, so much to try so will take a while to get through em all lol

I actually just came back to this thread because a lot has been happening in the cart game since my last post. If anyone is smoking these brass knuckles or any other brand that uses TOO MUCH TERPENES (like bhang does most of the time) and you favor a smooth and pure taste. Try out 2wnty3. It's a new brand I discovered after being pretty loyal to bhang and they're my new favorite. Best taste ever and they don't readd terpenes, so you can taste the difference. I honestly don't know how some people smoke the carts loaded with terps and talk about how good it tastes. You want the oil to be so smooth that you barely feel the need to exhale it or cough, now THATS purity!

Hey thanks man, I will give these a shot. I agree with you that many of the carts contain too many terps - they burn my throat and I know it's not healthy for you. Too much of anything gives you undesirable effects. For instance, Brass Knuckles Banana OG leaves a coating in your mouth. The SFV OG flavor, which has been my favorite so far, is like you said, still too terpy and it irritates my throat.

So far I've found Absolute Extracts to be my local favorite. There have also been a couple of quality vendors which are not as well known - in fact even though I have sampled the products, I can't remember their names. Oh yeah, Bare Leaf Extracts is a good one too.

Thanks, tylerj55. No more BK for me ever, and I will let others know as well. Question though: where did these lab results come from and when were they taken? The article doesn't give much info.

Everybody should stop using these carts immediately. At least for the time being, but I personally will never use one of their carts again. They have pesticides and other harmful stuff inside. This is just one article on it, plenty more out there with more information I’m sure.

Yes, I don't disagree with not wanting to vape any of this crap in a cart.

But let me ask...is it not true that MUCH of the source material used for processed products in CA has been found to have mold, pesticides, and other stuff?

I'm not sure on this, but doesn't the recent recreational laws/regs require testing now??

Seems to me that legal or not, in CA there is a large population of cowboy growers still doing whatever they please. No?

Yeah this isn't good news, but I'm still a little skeptical, that article acts as if you are literally loading the pesticides into the cart and vaping them. I understand the plants absorb the chemicals and when extracted the oil would the test positive for them, but I don't know... I'd like to see more sources and details perhaps. Reserving my final judgement, but definitely wary now regardless, need to try new brands

I wish I could find the other sources I saw. I’m not sure it’s sketchy or anything but it seems like a lot of the posts I saw about it that contained more pictures, including the list of strains affected by this problem have disappeared... I saw Adam Ill created a new Instagram and there have been people asking about this and he just ignores them and replies to other people.

It is most definitely true that they tend to do whatever they please! That’s why Chalice Festival had less vendors then last year, at least when it comes to big name, main stream vendors. They had to pass a bunch of these tests to enter and a good majority of them failed. I don’t know if we should give up on this brand entirely, but until they publicly address these concerns I personally would look elsewhere. Hopefully with these new testing requirements we can get more safe products out there, as it seems like the best way is to either know the grower/extractor personally, or be the grower/extractor.

No regulation of any sort since passed 1996...in a state with idiotic Prop 65 regs, you'd think...the most liberal Dem leaning of states...you'd think, the most regulation leaning, highest gas taxes, highest worker comp, clean air controls, global warmin, etc...you'd think...that this was Texas or somethin, zero regulation of cannabis in California!

Uh, just to get an idea of where you got this "info" or FAKE News...was it perhaps from what was linked in that Blog? You may need to explain to some of your more scientific orientated net 'friends'...what those of us who have IT experience would call GIGO. Then maybe could go off on a tangent about how not to interpret all the cannabis studies being quoted on this site and other pro-canna sites. We could start about how not to interpret those studies value with all the failed drugs that had been double-blind approved by the FDA, big pharma developed, drugs no longer in favor, cost a fortune, only added a few months additional life...but they all have these wonderful scientific studies<<< don't/didn't they?!?

Do you give deference to net posters that intentionally report only those stories that promote their biased agendas? Veracity of all those who post up that knbc study without pointing out what is most useful about such a story, are wasting my time...fake news.

How much $$$$ is involved in running a dispensary? Could you sue Knbc, if a story about pesticides; if wrongly reported and ended up with your business failing, all of your slacker stoner employee's are out of work, the domino effect. All because of inaccurate reporting?

@baron, Google search the counties that the knbc investigation covers. You are familiar with how the problem with illegal dispensaries in LA City alone, became the butt of jokes about more dispensaries than Starbucks? LA City is just 3+Mil, 4 counties in that report 20+Mil...now how many dispensaries in each county did they test samples from? See where there might be a problem. what does a 'study' represent. And what actual problems did that 'study' or investigative report show up.

In other news, both conventional and organic food has been tested to contain all sorts of trace amounts of banned toxic chemicals...I recommend we only eat food we grow ourselves, everyone else that can't grow there own will ether have to decide to eat with a risk, or not eat at all and die, lol.

The carts I use are Alpine carts all SC lab tested with very numbers on the side so you can go look at the test results for yourself.

There has been a ton of results posted on IG showing BK and many other vape carts and edibles failing tests for eagle 20 aka myclobutanil which turns to a form of cyanide when burned/heated.

It looks as if one person, Micheal Murphy as Manager of Clean Cannabis Initiative, LLC, is behind having the products tested and having a prop 65 warning issued to the cannabis companies. I half way feel it is a shake down by this guy to get money from these companies but like I said test results have been posted on IG showing them failing and he has have proof to be able have the Prop 65 warnings issued.

Keep using those carts then man, it doesn’t affect me one bit. Thought people would be interested, especially since a lot of people are on this forum for medical reasons. Don’t really care that you think it’s fake news either, especially considering there are a bunch of instagram posts backing this up as @Likes2vape mentioned. That website is not a good source, but as I previously mentioned the other articles were taken down and since there has been no public response to these claims I would believe them to be true... And I don’t need to list action levels on those chemicals as they shouldn’t be in there to begin with.

Name-calling breaks our Be Nice rule. Warning point issued.
I've now tried several knuckles and definitely like some better than others. Then Banana OG was not my favorite... the others have been great regards to flavor.

Out of the 4 I've tried, two were painfully ridiculously restrictive draws. IMO something was wrong with the last run of carts as there was nothing I could do to make less restrictive. They were wasted money and not pleasurable to use. I am giving one more try with another cart, Tangie... we will see how it goes but if it is another super restrictive cart, I am moving back to flav.
You have to heat the carts with a lighter to loosen the oil because it's so viciously thick. And you're all morons for using a GD BLU e cig battery or crappy ego twist with a $60 cart. Get a VW/VV and ride VW with .1 increments. And clogged? Moron. Use your lighter lightly on the quartz glass like the websites says. And don't screw it in all tightly to your terribly underpowered garbage batteries you dorks

This guy speaks the truth. It's all over SoCal SD/LA that BK and HH are causing acute allergic reactions in throats cuz yeah, pesticides and cutting agents/added terpines (doubtful from dudes who rap about selling stomped on birds and crack rocks.) The wrong people are in the game, weaponizing THC. What the eff

I bought two of the full gram carts, Gorilla Glue and Tahoe OG. The cartridges have EXTREMELY poor air flow. Before either was halfway through they would clog, the GG one clogged about 1/3 through the tank and the Tahoe OG about 2/3 due to the small holes. It would not create any visible vapor and it would get real hot in your lungs as well as heat up the battery really hot trying to get anything out. The oil and effects are okay, if you like taking 20 face sucking hits to enjoy one session, at least until the cart burns. I was able to salvage a little from the tahoe og with a syringe, had to toss the GG. So 120$ mostly down the drain, I contacted support through email and they just ignored me. They don't take their customers seriously and respond, or on other forums you will see them calling upset customers liars on instagram, but if their experience was like mine then it sucked probably as bad as they said it did. You'll also find other reports of 700-800mg carts, so not the full advertised gram, and having pesticides. I'll go back to the other competitors. I don't want to name them in case someone thinks my review is fake.

Rejoice! Very happy that action is being taken against these shit brands. Time to hold people accountable and make them suffer the consequences when they want bullshit and cut corners. Companies that aren't cannabis related crumble to this all the time (i.e. dietary supplement companies). Let's hope this brings progress to the industry and for the consumers. https://www.jdsupra.com/legalnews/cannabis-consumer-class-actions-are-64216/
