Waiting for PIU to get maple and cherry in stock is :(

Just not a walnut guy I guess. I sold my MAXX because I could never get my torch technique right, hoping to better refine it on the Flip!
if your problem was not being able to get your flame long enough...problem solved.

if you scortched every load in your Maxx and never figured out how NOT to....your problems may have increased.

start with the lowest flame possible out of your single flames torch and work up.

I missed that but with the 15 anyways it was only 8 buck difference. My thing is I could use the flip dry or with water at less than 100. To get water use with the jr I'm looking at 150.....
all makes no difference now, but there are other and more creative ways to pair Jr with water for less money than you think.

You had better live up to your name @CaptVapor on this one!
:)

@WakeAndVape still could be in the future. Either way my J hook and flip brick cost less than 100 shipped. Can't beat that price to get acquainted with the brick way of vaping.
If I get a jr I'm PMing you though....

Edit: @StonerSloth where could one go about finding a tiny bubbler with a wooden base like that. It looks so dang pretty...

That is an Orbiter - from the awesome people at Magic-Flight with a 14mm stem as mouthpiece. It works great with water but I actually prefer to use it dry. Also Made in USA

That's interesting, I've had an mflb for years and just don't use it. It sure does look nice but damn, 79 plus having to buy a down stem?????

He said in his post that all sticky bricks were 20% off but I tried to load a Flip Brick in the cart and use the code, it wasn't available for that. The Sticky Brick Jr. it works for and the 20% gets taken off for a $119 SBJ.:o
The return customer code for 15% worked when I bought my Flip Brick though. Plus free stuff.

So @WakeAndVape , please tell me I do not need to get a SBJ and that the Flip delivers most of the SB experience. That's all I'm asking. Do it....:D
I thought my VAS had lifted.:uhh:
You to @VisiblyVaped What happened to "It was a good day, no more VAS" and all that.

you don't need a downstem for the orbiter.

but agreed...the brick experience for under 100...Great deal.

you should be good with the flip.

but when your using it...if you wish it was easier to travel with, able to get bigger hits, or wish there was a cover to keep the glass pieces safe during transport...you'll need a Jr.

The flip is no slouch though and the difference between models is more functional than effect.

@SloJimFizz
Wasn't that referring to my decision to get the flip? I dunno. VAS is tricky to manage and so far has no discernible course of treatment

No, this new talk of the Sticky Brick Jr.
The Flip was locked in. It was your VAS killer. :p

That confirms what I was thinking @WakeAndVape Thanks!
For travel and general protection of the glass, this sweet tiny case holds it snugly with a rigid top for protection.

Looks like a tiny Back pack and can attach to a belt.

another hearty recommendation for a @Ratchett Delta 3D silicone reducer +Jr mouthpiece.

this is how i will be using it, at least dry, from now on. fits pretty snug. i can turn it over and shake it hard with no worries. may chose to disassemble for on the go though... just so it doesn't accidentally come apart in pocket? idk. we'll see if i ever leave the house with it.

a little harsh but not impossible. I'd still like a decently ergonomic jhook if anyone has recommendations :haw:

People who are having problems with scorching, bring the inner blue flame size down to 1/2in. Including the soft outer flame it should be 3/4in. When Im using the flip I bring the soft outer flame into the intake just a little bit (a couple mm). Dont forget to stir every 1 or 2 hits.

I originally had mine set to a tad over 1in including the soft outer flame and i would scorch after two hits. After a week of figuring out that it wasnt my technique I brought the flame size down and TADA! Works like a dream and am able to get those tasty low temp hits that I love.

hope this helps some of you.

edit: also be observant of your grind consistency and draw speed. I notice with different pieces I need to be very wary of my draw speed, too fast is too little vapor, too slow is easier to torch.

@Kermitt Why over the jr?

Because it is a perfect device for home. You don't need any watertool.

If I'm out, in don't want to use a Brick. In my opinion it's not possible, to use a Brick without attention. When I'm at friends or at a private party, the Brick is, of course, an option for outdoors. But then I think it can be the larger OG Brick. And the OG isn't very big. I do not see the advantage of the smaller junior (it's a very nice device, no question)

Just my opinion :-)

The Flip is mainly for home use for me too. Don't see myself strutting around town with a j-hook hanging from my lips and not many stealthy ways to get a brick going. Mrs. Fizz has yet to witness the act. I'm sure she'd be impressed.
I'm set for awhile it feels like.
I can't even hear what @Kermitt is saying right about now. That's right. La la la...I can't hear you...la la la :haw:

Good points, but for me any brick is likely an at home thing. I don't think my vapcap can be beat for portable stealth.

Same here regarding flip for home. I'm CERTAIN if it hits like I hope I'll REALLY want a Jr but hopefully not for at least a few months

you're going to want a jr. sorry, just saying. :p

i personally don't mind the bit of harshness for the reduced price, smaller form factor and no additional tools necessary for water pipe use.

jr is just a bit smoother, that's all.

I think I'll be using it more with water so I'm not as concerned about harshness. I'll test the j hook too though.
It's really the aesthetics of the Jr

So far it's good....... Definitely need to learn my technique but I'm conservative with my flame so I only charred, didn't fully combust. Did get some great vapor hits too.

Full on testing later

Aaaaannnnnddddd combustion.
This thing is tricky

Quick - anyone who has the time spurt out a few helpful pointers to save my stash from burning!!!!
