I think it's just that no one wants to be "that guy" hassling Dan. Totally have faith that we'll get updated as soon as there are updates.

Oh, and, uh... #24 checking in.

Welcome to FC #24 :D

From my perspective I'm totally avoiding "being that guy".

I trust Dan is on the case and hope he is taking it in his stride and not stressing.

Cool and calm wins the vape :)

i guess if some of those spots end up not replying or going for spots will be open? but then it should go to the people already in line obviously! Do I need to do anything currently to get in line?

The only reason that list is being posted in this thread is for us to figure out who's part of the first 25. So even the unnamed still have their spots (unless they tell Dan otherwise). There's no way to get on any list right now afaik.

And....it's unlikely that anyone in the first group will drop off the list, as we've already paid in full.

Been burning the midnight oil!

Not stressing out yet, haha. Everything is running smoothly so far.

Most of the work so far has just been shop setup things, material ordering/sourcing, a lot of prep stuff.

For those who wanted to see the shop. This is one of them, the other one houses the lathe, table saw, sanders/grinders, woodworking tools, and all the other messy stuff. I'll have to get some shots of the messy shop after I do a cleanup.

p.s. - I have not forgotten about the usage video. I got a new camera specifically for video work, as I want to document the making process with video this time around (if I have time!), so I'm just fiddling around with it trying to get used to it..and the editing software etc... I know, I know, a simple usage video doesn't need to be a big production, but... you know.

Clean!

Yeah man, setting systems, not goals, is where its at imho. Taking time to learn how to use new kit (cameras, software, etc) is always worth it but so time consuming. Which editing software have you gone for, what camera?

Oh man, Dan that shop looks awesome! I'm getting inspired to make something by just looking at it.
Is it strange that I kinda miss your old shop, I mean obviously I've never been there but I have stared at the pictures below and dreamed about being there. In the first Pic It just looks so warm and inviting. And then in the second Pic it looks like you completely transformed it and are in the process of creating amazing things.

I went with the Panasonic g85, purely for the video capabilities. I've been waiting to make my camera upgrade for like 10 years, ha... My old canon has just about had it. I am amazed at the longevity of that canon though...damn.

And I am on PC, so i like Sony Vegas, seems smoother than what adobes got goin on.

@VAPEHUNTER, ahhh man I miss that shop, BUT.. I've actually moved back to this cottage and shop, hopefully for good this time. That shop doesn't look nearly as nice now, but it's comin along.... All my nice shop furniture is inside now, heh.

Old school Sony Acid user here. Hope Magix treat you right now theyve bought Acid/Vegas range from Sony. I'm hoping the updates will start flowing again unlike with Sony (acid specifically, its been nearly a decade since the last time that sucker had any work done on it!)

Anyway, off topic :) As you all were...

Now that's crazy bro. I was feeling the exact same!
Missing the old one. That cozy shop, warmth.. I was wondering how Dan's new shop is gonna look like in 1 year from now? :)

@Dan Morrison , love the pictures of your shop, both old and new. The old one looks so inviting, like I'd love to sit down in front of the wood stove and have a toke and cup of tea. The new one is so clean, it reminds me of a house being staged to sell (mentally comparing the images with my husband's wood shop, which has shavings and sawdust all over it). Just kidding, though, really nice space! I'm looking forward to the eye-candy progress pics and videos.
