Relaxing with the Solo by candlelight, always keeping the pinky out when lifting the FC-188, of course. :\

@kellya86 I want an excuse to buy a new portable?

I can't kill it?

FUCKING thing is built like a TANK?
My wife will think I'm crazy if I buy another vaporizer.

I painted my SOLO protest pINK and it still will not die?

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
@Quetzalcoatl @OF I am glad to report my dead-alive yet dead again 3yrs solo is finally alive.

After a week where it was dead with the idle led blinking crazy, it got its shit together and it is now working solid (few stems in already)

My guess is that reclaim accumulated overtime caused some kind of short somwhere, cleaning with alcool wasn't definitive as a thin layer of diluited reclaim was spreaded all over the board causing some microshorts triggering a safety chip (guessing 100%)
After complete evaporation of iso the little reclaim left over wasn't enough to short anything and solo went back in business...

Freaking solid unit!

Hey there I'm quite new to the ARIZER page and I'm quite curious as to why people still use the solo over the air? As I'm looking for another vape that I'll be primarily be using for my bubbler and I can't decide over the 2.

It depends on your need's?

The AIR is good for people on the go! (one changeable 18650)
I like a SOLO because I like longer sessions (battery pack of two 18650's)
Mine is 5 years old. (changed the battery pack)

Whatever float's your boat?

Stealth and portability is not an issue as I already use my Vapman while I'm on the go. I would rather not use my Vapman for water anymore as to why I'm looking for a replacement for that.

My question is; I hear that the Air has less draw resistance or has that been fixed with the newer Solo's?

I like the idea of being able to carry some extra batteries for a quick swap

Are both units able to be used while charging?

Sorry, too subjective for me to bite. Remember me? The guy that likes the 'evil milkshake draw/restriction' on the original Solo....... Still do. I'm a fan of 'tip the stem to control the sipping action and don't use it for a handle.

Someone else will have to judge how much is too much here.

That said, if the question is 'is Solo II restriction like Air?', I'd have to say yes. Similar, but not the same, Solo II you can tip the stem, not on Air.

@OF I told @kellya86 I think it was him?
My 5 year old SOLO was like my old Makita Drill!

I tried to kill it however it won't die?
OF made this GIZMO for charging that is making last a long time?

The new one I heard good thing's about?

I'm not rich like other's?
So I stay with what work for my situation!

Maybe @CarolKing would know?

SOLO is a great product for my needs.

I'm MEDICAL so maybe my opinion is not valid?

The AIR might fit better for your needs?

@Andreaerdna, Same here, there's more of a draw restriction with my Arizer Air than the new Solo 2. @204Markie Arizer has fixed the milkshake draw on the new Solo 2. Also, the stem stays fairly tight so less dropping glass. Here that @ataxian ? I love mine and the digital temp display is awesome. You can dial in your exact temp and can choose your length of a session. I have mine on 15 min. It's perfect for stair stepping tempretures.

The battery is really strong so you don't get that temp dip between draws. My battery will last about 2 hours or so. That would be dependent on the tempretures used and the draw style.

The flavor is great like the Solo OG. I'm using the regular stems that come with the Solo 2 without screens which makes it easier. Just use a more coarse grind. My fave temp is anywhere from 370 - 385 degrees or so. Arizer has a winner for sure. It was well worth the cost for me.

I'm assuming they will be upgrading the Arizer Air in the fairly near future. Just guessing on my part. I've always thought the Arizer Air was on the harsh side far as vapor goes. I needed an extended airpath with anything above the lowest temp so I felt limited with the tempretures.

I'm a fan of the original Solo stems as well. The original bent stem and my small black stem from Sneaky Pete's were a couple of my favorites. For me, something about the draw restriction adds to the magic leading to denser more flavorful pulls than the Phives style notched stems.
I have an @Ed's TnT Bog Wood stem which I was liking, but the with 2 stems above I can get to where I want on power level 3. With Ed's, as recommended, I had to go to 5 to get good vape flowing through, but was really toasting the first layer closest to the heat. I was wishing I had a SS bushing without the 4 notches to make it hit more like the bent OG stem and get rolling at a lower temp. Was about to email Ed when it hit me , just flip the bushing and put the notches up and out of play. This is perfect for me now and has made the Bog wood stem what I wanted it to be, one of my favorites for my Solo and Air. I have the bushing for it to go in the Air too. Also, I can use the same heat level 3 that my other stems take for longer battery life and more sessions per charge. Easily reversible mod to try out if you have an Ed's stem.

Seems a pity to abandon it when some poor homeless guy (with ability to recharge.....) could use it.

Perhaps donate it to Salvation Army........you could do a good thing for a fellow traveler, and get Uncle Sam to underwrite it all by taking a tax deduction for it? Better use of tax money than most any other use I can think of......

Ataxian, yer inspirational.

I'm right here with you on this one...
I just cant justify it yet....

Least with my work tools I can retire the old Makita and upgrade, as the tools pay for themselves and batteries degrade, and are more expensive than the units, So upgrades are logical....

I can't translate this to the solo...

I will own a solo 2 for sure, but I'm in no rush...
I'll wait for the right prices to happen...

I have donated to the less fortunate.
However I like my old SOLO (it's pink)
FLAVOR pretty good for a portable.
The session's are just long enough.
Willie NELSON'S guitar, "TRIGGER" is very OLD!
That is how I feel about my PINK SOLO?

I have a 2 hit wonder I use once in a blue moon.
My plug-in's everyday all day!
But hey!
I LOVE my SOLO! (don't tell my wife?)

Your stem is about to roll off the table!

That's 'flat earth thinking'. The world is round, that's not how time works. You have to consider time zones. Yes, it's in danger of falling 'any minute' West Coast Time. East Coast Time it's already been there, stationary, for hours.....no danger, really. Over in the UK, under GMT it would have fallen long ago (an hour earlier in Daylight Saving Time......) but obviously didn't break.

On the other side of the Date Line, say Japan or Tiwan, it won't fall unitl a week from Thursday. And it would, of course, fall in Metric there.

And of course, in Austrailia it's clearly pointed the wrong way to work with local gravity.......it's likely to fall up.

Details, man, let's be careful with details. After all, this is Ataxian here.......you know how confused he is sometimes?

And how easily he can make others confused.......
