unbearably light in the being....
What's "the McGuffin?

"The McGuffin" was Hitchcock's name for the thing (or person) everyone in the movie is chasing...I just didn't want to keep typing "Omni XL condenser" over and over
I took out the condenser to look at it, but the condenser itself doesn't separate in 2 pieces. What separates from the condenser is the tip & mp. I do see where the tip, via threading, screws into the condenser. Is this what your are referring to when you talk separation?

What do you mean by cross-section/ID?

I've been referring to the two-piece assembly in my head as 'the condenser' all this time, with a tip end and a mouthpiece end...didn't know it would sound wrong to others...but yes, those are the two exact pieces I meant.

As for the other, the hollow tube has a size across, an interior diameter (ID). Y'know how you can stick a straw into a slushie and draw out/lay out a straw-sized slushie worm? It's the size of the straw. But this is our air path, and the "air worm" we pull thru the condenser/mouthpiece is the same in all the condensers (If I figure wrong, tell me!). It's how all the bits can play so well together.
My M shall be here tomorrow.
I am excited to see what the hype is really about. Any tips, tricks, pointers that'll save me 700 pages of reading and help me get some solid cloudy rips?

Yay! I love mine! I won't suggest you read the whole thing now - although it's a pretty damn good read, and there's a ton of likable, helpful, talented folks throughout - but you really should go back and read from the time Ms began to arrive. The M changed everything in good ways, and the best / most current data and feedback on 'Caps generally can be found between early April and now.

THAT you should definitely read - chock full o' goodness!

Oh, and welcome!

Having grown up w/ Hitchcock, surprisingly, this is the 1st time I've ever heard of McGuffin.

Much appreciate you getting back to me and explaining your condenser terminology & what ID means.

Hey All,

Has anyone had any success in cleaning the cap of the Dynavap vaporizers? Mine has gotten quite dicolored. I have tried soaking the cap in water and baking soda for about half hour, the results were marginal.

Thanx

i'm with you @cybrguy infact, i go through cycles where i prefer different torches.

inside the house i want the skinniest single flame i can find and out and about, i prefer the triple-triangle flame or the quad

@Hogni damn...mine is holding up better than i thought...my fuel dial was cracked on the bottom and fell off the first day, it does the occasional sputter

one time there was a piece of lint trapped in one of the nozzles, so i had to do a diy repair

Hey,
I can't find exactly the same item, I think I got it late last year.
But do a search for mini nectar collector 10/14/18 mm at dhgate and you'll find several sellers selling what looks like the same piece with a titanium nail attachment. I think they are essentially the same as my piece. Mine is a 14mm and accomodates my vongs, some of winegums pieces and my grasshoppers.
I believe ddavemods sells something similar as well.

Link to this cooling unit, please?

I don't clean the caps, and don't believe that there is a functional reason to. If you're using a low heat flame, you're going to get carbon, which will wipe off with a mild solvent. If, however, you use a torch, then what you are seeing is mostly heat oxidation, which forms a very thin layer of oxidation that in the long run will protect the cap. Yeah, it's not as pretty as when new.......but neither am I. When cool, wipe it down with a soft cloth and soldier on.:2c:

Yeah, I just take the cap discoloration with my torch as the nature of the beast, so-to-speak. Not as pristine and shiny as the day I got it, but I love it all the same. I haven't even bothered to clean the cap. At most I soak it in soapy water if I accidentally combust.

Agree with this. Besides, the colors on my cap are sorta cool. I think it gives it some character. :)

( Just to remind those of us who are scratching our heads, the files were posted by @grokit to enhance
the airflow on the Ti tip. Thanks, grokit! )

happy camper....
 I only got my package two days ago but I´m already impressed. All the great things I've read about the "M" and the Omni are true! Here are some of the things I LOVE about my new Vapcaps....

1 - I love that the herb chamber is at the very end of the mods, just makes it amost impossible to dirty up the works if you cover the screen with a little hemp fiber or whatnot.

2 - I love that there are NO electronics involved...ever! No batts to charge, no cords! This is BIG!

3 - I love that these mods are so very small. I´ve always loved tiny things (see pic below).

4 - I love that I can microdose...one or two hits does the trick! Save the rest for later if one hit did the job.

5 - I love that it makes my herb cheaper because I only have to use a tiny bit.

6 - I should have put this first... I really love that the hits are so very smooth. I would have bet a billion dollars that that was not possible with mods this small. So far, I honestly have not even felt the inhale.

7 - I love the looks of both my new 'M' and the Omnivap Cocobolo. These are quite something to be proud of.

8 - I love the Dynastash. It's a terrific accessory to keep everything you need all together except for your torch. Small, and not only good looking but very useful! And the magnet is just the icing on the cake, very very useful.

9 - I love the simplicity of it all. Small, simple, clean, beautiful... what more could you want? I'm planning to sell off all my other herb vaporizers except for my Volcano, which I've decided to put away and 'will' to a loved one. :)

10 - I love the fun of it. These dynavaps are just plain fun to use. I'm finding the torch easy to use and fun too. (Still experimenting with the different flames though.)

I want to encourage George to think real hard about providing us with a good screen filter for using with either herb or concentrates. The hemp fiber is good and works well, but some kind of tiny concentrate pad would be really nice and more convenient.

BIG THANK YOU to DYNAVAP for making these ingenuous little indispensable vaping products! Here's a pic of my favorite small things....

Hi guys,

This forum has a lot of love for dynavap both because of what they're all about as a company and how they treat their customers, and because of the fact their invention is so simple and just works. It's helped people like me who owned an arizer air and a mighty previously but couldn't stop smoking joints and blunts to finally kick the combustion habit!

One thing that's been very important to them is the feedback they receive from us and others on twitter, Instagram, Reddit and now Facebook.

Their Facebook page just released the following statement:

'
The wait is over!

I know it's been mentioned countless times, but for the new DynaVap owners, I highly recommend utilizing @Squiby's degummed hemp fiber filter sandwiched between two screens. I am a microdoser and only change the filter once a month and the rest of the Omni remains absolutely spotless on the inside.

I used a nano steel mesh which can be cleaned and reused.

I love Dynavap for their CS and their products, and I think George is a great guy (and Arielle and Matt and crew are great too of course) and I love free stuff, but NOTHING will drag me into the cesspool that is FB. Even free stuff.

Fair enough, I also know some people like their anonymity and that's why they use FC.

But for those of us who aren't scared to put our name to something we enjoy, then it's somewhere that likeminded people can connect and share experiences and thoughts.

#FuckBigBrother I'm not ashamed that I gain medical and recreational benefit from a plant and I feel proud to be part of a philosophical artistic subculture that inspires innovation.

Edit: just FYI, the group is private so you have to apply to it and be accepted or be invited and then an admin accepts whether you invitation can be granted. So unless there's some undercover cop who's interested in catching all vapcap users then it's pretty safe
