What a blur the last couple days have been. Blowing through weed and butane like I have a limitless supply or something.
My Vapcap collection is only short one thing, and I got on the @phattpiggie list to fix that.
Here is my current lineup, sans my OG. :(

77FiR7M.jpg

While rounding up everybody for the family shoot, lost the handle on the OG and in a slow motion fall with 2 missed attempts at catching it and the third try pretty much bull whipped it to the tile floor below. Left me with two glass condenser I had just bought for it.
What to do with 2 New OG glass condensers after destroying your OG body?
Create.
I present my Ti/Woody/OG
Ti Tip with Ed's Cocobolo stem with glass OG condenser held in with fat mp OG style. :science:

Wow! Awesome!!
Do you need DIY to get that?
I am a fan of vaponic for years for its flavor ... is it possible that vapcap wood with glass condenser regain more flavor ??

So I've had my Ti omni xl for a couple of weeks now and I'm loving the performance of the new 5 fin tips. From the first hit you can get good vapor and the flavor is nice. I didnt like the gen 4 tips because I felt it didnt hold heat long enough. It would click too early in the middle of a draw. The new tip is like a combination of gen 3 and gen 4. Gen 3 was my favorite until now.

One negative I've found is that its really hard to put on and remove the cap from the new tips. Its not an issue that simply squeezing the cap can fix. Any cap I try to use gets stuck on one of the fins and it take considerable force to use. It seems like a slight machining defect. I was wondering was anyone having these problems with their 5 fin tips?

No DIY. I guess create was a little strong. I just slapped parts together I had in reach.
You just need the glass condenser for the original glass vapcap. They still are selling the condenser at their site in two packs for$5.00: https://www.dynavap.com/dynashop/parts/standard-vapcap-condenser-twin-pack
Put the tip into the stem, then slide the glass condenser in till it butts up to the tip. Slide the fat mouth piece on while your palm holds the tip in to secure the condenser. Bang. Ready to go.

And which ever of you enablers that planted the seed of getting a J-hook in my head....I think I love you. :luv:

hi there! Read up this thread for advice on how to make VC work with 19mm watertools (got FC-MOD recently) and doing that spotted @Winegums work. aftermarket body: what a great idea! proceeded to order a custom amphora tube, gave @Winegums free hands re materials and colors. and I am happy to report he came up with a beauty. He ok’d the wood and the looks by me, and I <3 'd it. especially like how the midline aligns with the joint have a look (sry about the pics!):

also very happy with function. there’s a metal tube inside, which gives the body a bit of weight, which I like a lot. I find it also much easier to rotate than my VonG. This has become my go-to vape for bonging. I also have the Lotus and I like that too. Just that this VC setup is more fun to use and I think it extracts your bud further than lotus, which is also impressive.

anyway: v good work from @Winegums followed through with top notch service, warmly recommended :) I’m already thinking about something similar to replace the metal body of my M and fit that dynastash ;)

Drooling over Dynavap's website.
I have my Vapcap M more than 2 months now and use it daily. This thing is impressive! I cannot recall how many times after a session i caught myself thinking "wow, this thing is incredible!".

For those of you who haven't gotten a VC yet don't sweat on which one to get. Just get one. The device works great even with the simplest setup.

It's been a while since i was so excited about something materialistic. Just wanted to share this with you guys.

Cheers

The hardest part about owning a vapcap is waiting for it to arrive!

However, it is so worth the wait. Nobody loves being in limbo, but man do I look forward to my order arriving!

The bigger challenge is going to be slowly integrating them into view so my girlfriend doesn't start asking to see how large of an order I placed!

Have had the new ti tip on my M body for about a week now, but I can't be sure...time and space starting to stretch just a little bit.... I'm starting to get used to ti tip and how it heats/hits differently than SS tip. Friggin love this thing yes I agree " this thing is incredible ". I often take a huge rip and then you immediately look at the M and say " Damn! This thing is too small to give a blast like that, holy crap!!!!" or something like that. I used to think, when I first got into vaping, " but where is the 'one hitter' vaporizer " . Then I ran across George's early vids a couple years ago and said maybe this is it. Well it sure as heck was and is... Thanks George!!! Thanks FC!!!! Buy a vapcap and get happy. And watch your weed spending dollars go down! Peace! D.

....still testing my friend...I will say this though...there's definitely a "subjective component" at work here....what I may say is best... isn't necessarily how you're gonna perceive it.......because some of the differences are subtle...that said...these devices provide ample opportunity for you to explore and define your own priorities ...

Got my green package today.

It was so covered in customs stickers these was hardly any green showing.

I only ordered an M4AF and a Gen5 Ti-Tip+Cap.

I've cleaned up all my VC's + components so the M is ready to handover to my friend when I see them next month. I'm considering the mod to put the notches in the tip, contemplating using my dremel.

The Gen5 tip to me feels like a better hit. I've seen other report it holds it's heat a little longer and I believe I can confirm this. Need more testing but I think the advantages outweigh the better look of the Gen4.

Not had any issues with any of my caps sticking on the new Gen5 tip.

All in all I'd say things just keep on getting better!

Which would you say is best all around for all strains
I find that the Ti tip is a solid performer with anything you can throw at it. But as far as a best strain for a vapcap? I would suggest something that comes on strong at lower temperatures.

The reason for this is that the Vapcap starts at the highest temperature then descends from there. This means that you're only in those high temperatures for a brief moment, making it hard to achieve the full profile of a high temp strain.

For example, Green Crack (sativa) doesn't give me nearly as much of a creative buzz in my vapcap when compared to my Herbalizer @ 430F. I've run into other strains that also didn't seem to have as much "personality" when used in my vapcap but came alive when exposed to prolonged high temperatures.

This is the ONLY downside I have run into when using my Vapcap and it is rare that I find a strain that doesn't work with my Ti tip.

On the road with Ti tip M. "Volcan de Fuego" on the background

2nd day with the Ti tip and degummed hemp fiber filter and 2 Ti CCD. No particles in the condenser, therefore happier lungs.

Ti tip vs SS Tip for me... Slightly better airflow, but not day and night difference. (with the mouth pull carb on)

IMO, not too much difference in flavor delivery between models. Good in = good out on any model from the M to Omni. When I said the M would get you most of the vapcap experience, I mostly meant the flavor and massive hits part of the experience. You only lose some of the modularity and control that's available.
It's all about the tip and cap. They do most of the magic. :whoa:

Hey Guys,

I just received my new Vapcap M (my first Dynavap product) a week ago, and I have to echo the sentiments on this thread of how impressive it is. A few questions for those who have tweaked this out.

1.) I'm using this lighter: https://www.cigarsinternational.com/p/vertigo-stinger-lighter-lighters/1498312/

What is the best technique given the quad flame?

2.) I'm having a hard time not burning the material past the third hit when packed tightly or 2nd hit when packed loose and with less herb. I also prefer strong hits to wispy hits. Tips?

3.) What's the best way to fully extract a half-pack or less with a single hit (no pre-warm)?

Thx.

Welcome aboard the VapCap train.

  1. The lighter you linked to is a triple flame torch not a quad. If you are using a quad then you may be better off dropping to a dual or even single flame torch. The quads and triples are great for quick heat up but if you want to really push the material then a slightly slower and more controlled application of heat will offer you a better extraction. The trade off being a little more time and a bit more to figure out.
  2. Again the number of jets you use can affect the strength of the hit. The assumption is more jets equals more strength to the draw but this actually isn't always the case. Less jets take longer and allow the heat to soak into the tip before the cap clicks. It takes more control and skill but you get stronger more even hits in my experience.
  3. This is best done with a Ti tip as you can use the adjust-a-bowl feature where there are ledges in the tip at the half way mark for you to rest the screen on making the bowl 50% smaller.
One tip you could try with your tripple/quad is to make sure you have the flames adjusted to be as small as possible without fluttering.

The Vertigo Stinger he has linked is a quad, I have one myself. That site calls it a triple, but it's a quad.

I agree. I bought a quad torch and I far prefer the triple torch that are all in a straight line. The whole art to heating is definitely how close or how far from the tip the flame is placed during heating. If you want more heat, closer to the bowl. If you want to stretch more flavor and get a lighter hit, closer to the tip becasue it will click sooner. But the triple flame or a single flame makes it easier than the quad to precisely heat the location of the bowl. And don't forget that the delta in the entire equation is how much moisture content your flowers posess.

From that same website, this is the triple that I have found that I like the best, and I have a dozen or more torch lighters. https://www.cigarsinternational.com/p/vertigo-venom-ii-lighter-lighters/1498311/

Some sketchy reviews of those Eagles...

Is there a higher-end torch worth the money to pick up for this vape? I'd rather pay for safety.
