Just a dude
Absolutely LOVING the Nano through dry stem. Hurray for EpicVape, super-nice/super-fast! I don't leave it on 24/7; juice is expensive in UK (compared to US & EU) and a step-down transformer running all day/night is like throwing money away. I like to save that for cannabis and this new affliction I've acquired since joining FC. Not complaining, understand: I'd much rather have GAS, VAS & AAS than be a guinea pig for Big Pharma; their prescribed poison has nearly killed me 5 times. BIG PHARMA = BIG SIDE EFFECTS

Anyway my Nano heats up fast, has its way with me and leaves me with a stupid smile in 10 minutes. I like that, no fussing about. It's also really good at longer conversations, I like the way the wood warms. Muscles relax, nerves relax, I relax. Almost as CIVILIZED as @ataxian, perhaps? Nah, I've got a ways to go yet...

Please don't give me any credit!
CANNABIS is awesome and has a symbiotic relation with out bodies.

The NANO is a no non-sense device that is pretty.

Electricity is old fashion. One day it will be replaced? (GREEN ENERGY)

24/7 is what I try to do however my FRENCH Wife turns it off at night?

It does heat up quickly so it's all good.

I'm glad you have a NANO.

I have been having a great time experimenting with concentrates in my Nano! With a potent sativa dominant strain, I have experienced the cleanest, clearest highs I've ever had! It's quite remarkable. I think it's a combination of the quality of the concentrate, the Sativa dominance of the strain, and the Nano itself, which is a concentrate machine!!!

I am loving using a much lower temp than I expected to be using with concentrates. I tried the Nano at 9-ish and found the hits gave me a lot of coughing issues. I now find that I can get monster clouds at a temp as low as 6.5! The flavor is much better and the vapor doesn't irritate at all. I may try some higher temp hits again at some point for the effects (maybe when I pick up a WT), but for now I am comfortable with low temp concentrate vaping.

Sure!!

In addition to my temperature of choice (6.5-7), I have found excellent results putting the shatter or wax in a small square of Koh Gen Do pure cotton. I don't detect any "cottony" taste and the stem and screen stay clean. I tried making a concentrate sandwich with some wax and flower, but I found it became pretty messy!

One reason to use a higher temp is if you're looking for sedating effects. The higher temp hits I have taken have produced a very heavy stone.

If I think of any other tips, I'll pass them along!

Been enjoying the Nano through my Beaker. It's a pretty large one, with only one downstem (no slits/holes). At first I thought the nano was made for littler bubbler-type pipes, but I only filled a little bit of water in, and I rotate the piece until the downstem's opening is juuuust a little under the water, maybe even only halfways in the water. You can test this yourself if you have that type of glass. The regular sound is more a deeper lower bubble, chug-chug-chug. The way I use it, it's much more like a bird singing, higher pitched and faster frequency bubbling.

I've been using it starting at 5,5/6 but I think that might be a bit too heavy for during the day...will try some lower temps in the coming days.

I don't think I'll ever "need" another desktop unit again. But then again "need" is so vague... :D

Wishing everyone some nice weather and a nice time! And don't forget ya Sunblock! (I combust in the sun).

I clean my screen when I start noticing any draw resistance. I'm not reclaiming or I would use everclear for a stem soak.

When cleaning my glass stems I just pour some 91% ISO into the oven screen area and rinse with hot water and repeat. I make sure all surface area of the glass gets saturated with the ISO by turning the stem. I don't even take the screen out of the stem. Usually all debris is gone and its sparkling clean. It only takes a minute.

I used to do the soak. It's just whatever way is convenient for you.

I couldn't decide which log vape to bring on my trip so I brought my Nano and my other log. Nothing like being able to vaporize when away from home.

Why do you clean it that way instead of just soaking it in ISO? I have been using 70% Isopropyl alcohol in the same tube that comes with the E-Nano. Do you feel that the other method takes less time?

I give it a 15 minute soak every 3 days or so when i see the glass getting cloudy and with little specs of material

@baxter either way works. I used to use your way of cleaning but decided this works for me. The plastic tubes get brittle and will break and crack really fast after a month or so IMO. Using a glass container such as a green olive glass container worked out better for me when I did the soak. Eventually I may go back to the soak.

All I know is I love my Enano!

Edit
You can do a chocolate milk soak with your Nano stem. When it gets really coated with resin make some hot cocoa and insert your stem and melt all the resin off then drink and enjoy. Use full fat milk and a little cream on top for added fat content. Do this when you don't have anything else planned - no driving or taking care of small children.

Yummy

I've read of people making "stem milk" with heavily used Solo Stems, would that work with the nano too? In case "Someone" doesn't clean the Nano stem every few days ;)

The way I understand it, you basically boil some Milk in a little pot and let the stem soak inside while boiling. Appearantly it comes out clean, and you can drink the milk then.

Anyone ever tried that? I guess I'd remove the silicon sleeve + basket screen.

Well..my Girlfriend will be out of town tomorrow night..so..maybe I'll try to make some :science:. High Fat is great. Better for the Brain (than sugar). For me.

Nano hits are so tasty. I feel like I won a lottery or something on some of them. I didn't know it could taste so amazing.

I'm going to give your quick clean method a shot. I hate waiting around while the glass soaks. I use salt in my bubblers but not in the smaller pieces.

Although I must add that BEFORE I clean with iso, I warm the empty gong or stem on the nano for a few minutes. I take a small piece of cotton on the end of a wooden skewer and wipe the glass down. Spinning it around the length of the gong takes out a lot of reclaim that you can just pop back in the gong and get wrecked. Absolutely a fun time and the taste is not bad. I highly recommend this method which I learned on this thread. Makes cleaning fun

The other thing I'd like to give is an example of how weed really is civilized.

I met with some friends today and we started drinking and hanging out. I must have downed about 4-5 pints when I started feeling groggy. They tasted good and got me buzzed but then the lousy feeling always follows and then I promise myself I won't drink that much again. When I got home, I fired up the nano and vaped some Wappa (indica) and mellowed out. I now feel a lot better. Cannabis is so much more civilized than alcohol.

I always have two stems in rotation. While one is in use for a few days, the other is soaking in a plastic steak sauce bottle filled with ISO.

BeyondBottle_SteakSauce_00901654_n_lg.jpg

When it comes time to swap stems, I just rinse clean the one that was in the bottle, put the dirty stem in it's place, and I'm ready to go.

I don't use h2o with my nano but my cleaning method with the stem is more conservative with the iso: fill the bottle cap with just enough iso to dampen the tip of a piece of rolled-up paper towel, twist it through the stem snuggly once or twice, rince and voila. Literally two minutes for a crystal clean ready-to-use stem. The screens need a soak but as long as I have a few on hand that's never an issue.

Yeah but in my world nothing beats a nice mellow mj buzz followed up by a good ipa.

Thank you for that warning. I am switching out to a small glass bottle similar to the A1 Steak Sauce. Dont want to wait for the tube to break or start leaking. Only issue is now I need WAY more ISO in the steak sauce bottle compared to what I was using in the E-Nano storage tube.

I hate to wait for the drying also. For sure the best practice would be to have a second stem so you could continue vaping on stem 2 while the first one soaks. If you start to hit the stem even when there is a drop or 2 of water on the inside is that harmful? Will more goop stick to the sides of the stem if its wet during the hit?

I had been in the habit of using a piece of cotton to wipe down the inside but I found it is just too much trouble and I dont care to vape the cotton ball after its covered in reclaim because it tastes (On 7.5) it tastes like the cotton is burning too and that I am inhaling some burnt cotton along with the reclaim. It feels like it may be bad for my lungs.

So Im just going to keep soaking it in ISO and letting the crud accumulate in the iso soaking bottle. Once I have built up enough crud and reclaim I will see about the best way to consume it.

I always have two stems in rotation. While one is in use for a few days, the other is soaking in a plastic steak sauce bottle filled with ISO.

For sure, 2 stems is the best solution. i found a bottle of fish sauce that is about the same dimensions as the A1 steak sauce bottle. Dont have any olives jar.

.

I dont mind the iso soak because you can leave it soaking and go do something else. But the way you describe I will have to give it a try.

Made some vanilla stem milk today. Was too excited to take pics. The stem had only been used about 2 weeks but it's really a nice buzz - matrix style slow mow moves -but not like "shit I'm dying help" that I've heard happens with edibles to some people ;)

Tasted pretty nice too! I of course didn't have any milk except almond milk, but I threw in a chunk of butter, two drops of vanilla extract, and a few spoonfuls of xylotol (sugar alternative).

Took about two hours but yeaaahhyyyuuhh. Of course I've been vaping on the nano as well throughout the day..so..you understand.

Oh, whoops, forgot about this. I kept typing on my phone walking through several rooms haha.

Enjoying some rocket league from the couch now. Have a nice Saturday everyone!

That sounds like a fun experiment. I didnt think that the amount of reclaim on the glass tube would be sufficient to induce any edible-style effects.

I will advise of my experience. Im thinking to make a Cafe-Con-Leche and veg out on Sunday

UPDATE: I just ordered a new stem and some screens. Its very generous that Epic Vape did not charge me any shipping. I dont want to name names but another vape manufacturer that is popular on these forums charges minimum $12 shipping no matter what you order.

Now I will have 2 stems, one to soak and one to smoke. (Err......I mean to vape)

UPDATE2: I was thinking about buying THE AROMA THERAPY CUP from EpicVape. Is it worth getting or is it just a novelty? If I filled it with water and added 10 drops of peppermint oil how long would the fragrance last before needing to be refilled?

Who keeps unplugging it on you :hmm:
Too may people running around the house, so I have to use a bit of discretion.
Also, Mrs Fizz is not the biggest fan of my "latest fxxking obsession", as she likes to call my vape purchasing. Not the actual vaping, she's cool with that. Just the VAS and the little binge I went on for a bit. So no sweet area of the house dedicated to showcasing all the goods, half of which I haven't eased into conversation about getting, let alone already having. :D

Yup, add any of my hobby toys there.
Gotta love them though.

Fresh batch of Bubba last night tasted mighty fine.
Pulled the trigger on an @Ed's TnT Blackwood stem for my Nano. Looking forward to how the SS bushing toasts compared to the glass stems. I like the difference between the two on my Solo, figured might as well try it on my Nano.
