Discontinued MistVape Touch

Shit Snacks

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
@RelaxedNow it would be nice but that would be a long drive for me! Hoping some fellow Delaware MM patient is on this thread. We could swap under DE law.
It has taken longer than I like but the builds are coming out very nice and consistent. Don't have a large number of completed vapes to compare but the most recently completed are all very good. It is all working out, the backlog is finished - no more list - so now the new builds are all inventory.

Wow already caught up on the backlog! Will be great to have made units up on the store soon!

Really trying not to come on here every other day to say how much I love this vape, but one more time at least.

Was tailgaing at a ball game on Saturday, then on the road to go down to the beach (couple hour drive) and hang out with friends for about 24 hours. Then back on the road home. Probably could have made it through all without my MVT. But, would not have been nearly as fun or as vape-y! Also, had a few VCs for diversity and friends use, but MVT (and 4 spare batts) made for another great weekend! Tailgaiting, hanging behind the smokers outside the bar, on the boardwalk, on the road, stepping out from a long and trying breakfast at a diner, EVERYWHERE the MVT was there for me, and keeping me smiling!

@mistvaporizer I have another idea for you.

Even for an additional cost, I would still be interested in a 18mm collar for stirring and filling Milaana stems, Extreme Q baskets and more and more 18 mm stems.

If you ever find a 14 mm gong that is thick enough for you to drill out the stem for screen placement please let us know. Even with the sticks for placement you have spoiled me and I am used to just pushing the screen to its proper place.

this is what the touch sensor looked like on flotntoke's unit

Lots of fingernail creases, don't do that please

I'm a happy camper today. I found a local glass guy and he is going to try and make some gongs with the lip to catch the screen.
Then I went to the dispensary and they had Pineapple Fields, being trying to get this for 2 years but they are always out of stock. And they had AC/DC so I can get back to some serious qc work.

Triply awesome! Will be really nice to have a GonG just as good as the standard stem, and perhaps this glass guy can even make long, bent, fancy dry stems for us as well...

Is there a trick to getting the shallow basket screens to fit into the stems? They are decidedly larger in diameter than the stem's opening.

Just position them on top of the stem and use a round dowel (chopstick, pencil, or if you have a stir tool the small diameter is designed for pushing screens in) and push it in. Being larger gives it some grab against the side walls, you have to push it in evenly. If it tilts starts over.

I've tried that method but always end up with a tilt. Will be more careful...

What about the top screen (upside down) for the two screen method? I can't find a way to insert without bending the screen out of shape or loosening the metal strands, which don't look fun to inhale.

Still enjoying my beta Touch everyday, it is very durable and works so well! one of my 18650's is slightly longer in size and is perfect to keep a good contact (it was one of the main issue of the beta units).

I don't stir anymore except one time before the end of the session.

The Touch you created is an amazing toy Dave and I can't wait to see what will come from you in the future (Essence is a great looking vape also!)!

I hope to get soon a updated production unit.... when the Dave's Quality control with high CBD strains will be done (I'm impressed he take the time to vape some hits with every units he will send out, I thought a visual control would be enough but he told me it was not the case...) fingers crossed...

edit: I sent one of my units to RastaVapa and it seems to be a good move cause this is a nice guy and a true vapor addict, I bet he will spread the word better than me in my mountains....maybe it might be the Touch European retailer for Connoisseurs only!?

@sickmanfraud suggested a stir collar for the 19 mm stem of a Milaana, here you go
vuBK8bF.jpg

This one is Bubinga, about an inch long. Same style as the Touch collar just a bit larger. If anyone wants one PM me and I'll consider making more.
Oooooooh, I'll want one for my 18mm tubo stems. Purple heart is my biggest weakness...

I've never been good at inserting screens and end up with them sideways or squished or pretty unusable. I have 2 solutions that work for me with the mistvape. One is one of Ddave's 14mm stems with a rimmed screen. He has another screen installed inside that I just don't remove even when I clean and so the herb goes between that screen and the rimmed screen. The other is that I bought a few stems and screens from Alan at HI. Not only are they beautiful but his screens work for some reason and I use 2 of them at a time. Both options work with my 14mm female bubbler.

@little maggie do you have a stir tool? The small end is perfect for seating screens, it is what it was designed to do. The other option is you have to use two push sticks, one for the screen to "sit" on and hold it level and the other to push it down. sounds like you found an option that works for you.

I love that the other end of the stir tool works for tamping. Actually did that without thinking before I realized that's probably exactly what you intended.

It's being picky but I agree with a previous poster about the difficulty of inserting the bottom screen using the stir tool. I can manage using a shallow screen but the deep screens end up tilted most times. I just use shallow screens on bottom with no top screen. So all is good with my MVT.
