OK, so I've tried but I just can't find the time to get through all 48 pages here. I'm sure this info is in here somewhere, but because I'm lazy I'm going to ask here. Feel free to yell at me if necessary.....

I've been shopping around and think I need to acquire an extreme. I've seen 2.0 and 3.0 versions....all seem to vary in price from $250-300. Should I make sure I get a 3.0, 3rd generation version? I guess if I shop at the Arizer site that is probably what I'll get.....is it a better machine than the older ones?

Thanks

I've had both a 1st gen unit and a 3rd gen unit and didn't notice a perfomance difference. But if given the choice, why not get the newest model? That being said, I don't think you'll have a choice and you'll probably get a 3rd gen unit.

I think you'd have to find a headshop where they're not selling well (not likely) to get anything but version 3. The only real difference in the versions is the placement of the heat sensor. They don't heat to different temps, just display a different number.

take a paper clip and bend it in a U shape. make sure it can fit inside the cyclone bowl (shoving the U paper clip upside down) so the two ends of the paper clip are firmly pressed against the sides of the glass wall. make sure the screen goes in first before all of this of course. now the bottom part of that U shape will be pressed against the bottom of the screen. I did that the first week I got mine and it hasn't fallen out since ;)

I hope you understand all of that.....might have been a lil confusing

....and shit I keep seeing the E thread with less and less people that read thru it...come on people you could learn two possibly even three more things about you Extreme. Its worth it to at least skim thru some pages. :p

no worries always glade to help with vape info :)

how do I get the screen to stay down there on the cyclone bowl?
Short on time, but IME the screen can fall out when it is shaped like a dome, but fits moresnugly when the mesh has a flat bottom (shouldn't need to add a paperclip afaik).

Hope this helps. :)

I'm too lazy isn't this about asking questions and getting to know your vape better? I don't want to have to start from the begining and read all the pages because I tried to just skip from page to page but the whole time I was confused. Most of the posts are old as hell and people have probably have forgotten about them anyways. So what's wrong with asking a question that has been asked before?

LOL...All the questions you are asking are within the pages. I read through all of them and now I can contribute to the conversations instead of asking questions. With all the time you've already wasted on here waiting for people to answer, you could of read through some of the pages. It really doesn't take that long.

As for the screen issue, I have not a clue what you guys are talking about. My screen has never just fallen out and I've never had to actually take it out to clean it yet (which I'm really surprised about). The elbow screens I switch and clean every time the elbow gets soaked.

Yeah I also have never had a problem with the other screen. My elbow fits in perfect nice and snug... kinda coated with honey so it helps it stick :)

Anyways, I was moving my Extreme today and smooooooth move on my part and I broke the elbow for my whip :( It just knicked the ground.... just barely missed the carpet. One of two non carpeted areas too. I cant believe it broke that easy :( I was sad for a while... still am. Since I didnt have my balloon with me I had to be creative and makeshift last second. Thought I share just for the hell of it that putting your lips on the bowl and taking a hit works fine. The only downside that I saw right away was the vapor being kinda hot and I couldnt take a hit like I normally would. At least it worked and I didnt need to combust!

Hey I just got a great idea for a valve and a stealth option for the bag system, Combine it with a "Camelbak". For those of you who want a valve for the bag, a Camelbak bite valve works perfect. And if you wanted to vape in public, buy a Camelbak, take the tube with the bite valve off the water bladder, and just attach it to your extreme bag and put it the little backpack that bladder usually goes in. Fill your bag up with vapor and your good to go. When you take a hit in public, everyone will just think your taking a drink out of your Camelbak. :D

First off, I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this, and the many other Extreme threads (stickstones, vtac, and marcuss in particular). All of your helpful insight convinced me that the Extreme was the right vaporizer for me to buy.

While I wasn't planning on purchasing it for the next few weeks, the deal I found was too irresistible for me to ignore, and I ended up buying it a few minutes ago through ebay. I paid $216.00 shipped for a brand new 3rd generation Extreme, and I couldn't be happier.

I can't smoke any cannabis right now because of some legal issues, so I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with alternative herbs that would be pleasurable to vape (tobacco, mint, salvia, etc) so I can get some experience using the Extreme.
