Hey @DDave, what are the differences between The DDave 18mm Tubo Evic VaporCooler V3 and The DDave 18mm Milaana VaporCooler V3?
Is it just the included screens?

It's great seeing a section for the Tubo!
@duff
Those coolers are one in the same.
The screens are a new addition.
Without rims, the screen can be placed at varying depths in the cooler. In the Tubo, works great with two screens. One installed within the cooler. The other at the tip, enclosing the herbs. Load herb to about half volume of the space between the two screens.
No stirring necessary. Just remove cooler, give it a shake, and put the cooler back into the tubo.

Also working on a way to cheaply offer and ship these screens.... stay tuned...

Looking forward to ordering soon, probably going to need to the stem case too, is there a way to get it with fewer than four stems though? I was also wondering how you get the interior screen out of the cooler? Can't poke it back the other end like regular stems...

The cooler, the stem wallet, and the conc chamber all seem like must haves for Tubo (not to mention my other favorite vapes) so I am excited to verify that suspicion soon enough. Meanwhile you keep innovating with new design ideas so the fun will likely never end

Cool, when time permits PM me a wishlist and we'll see what we can do.

A couple options, but the screens not having a rim make them much more fragile.
*** first option is clean the screen along with the bubbler. Leave it installed. My bubbler cleaning video on youtube using pbw doesn't have the screen installed, but my next video will.
*** the other option is to consider them disposable. I'm coming up with a solution that should allow me to sell replacements cheaply and use mailing rather than shipping to keep cost down even more.

hello!

yes, i am thrilled there is a ddave tubo evic section! :D

i have news from the tubo510 aka TUBOx, i re-did mine to the final version. am quite satisfied with how it turned out:
W5PbVPR.png

the connector is in there so the heating element could be adapted to the power adapter in the future. i am debating on coloring it black or another color. could be a direct connection as well if that is preferred. i am not yet set on final price, its going to be around $100, without the mod of course.

on the tubo evic front: more and more tubos are assembled. they are lining up for painting/finishing/calibration. hope to have a killer pic soon :)

Wow, that looks great. I already added a flam to my tubo order, any chance of adding one of these on? Dibs maybe? Can I call dibs? Dibs!

Something bad happened this morning guys - my Tubo just stopped working... I was sitting down enjoying a cruise session when it cut out early and said "Atomizer Short". Not a good sign, I replaced the battery, turned it off and on, and nothing fixed it. I'm not sure what could've happened because I haven't dropped it or anything yet, it just stopped out of the blue. Hopefully it's something that can be fixed easily, and I won't have to be without my Tubo for long. @funkyjunky, any tips on troubleshooting before I'd have to send it in?

Might be a stupid question, but could it be that the screen has been displaced, and it dropped onto the coil?

I like how @RelaxedNow is thinking, definitely check that.

I'd also pull the battery and leave it out for an hour, try to turn it on without the battery, then put the battery back in and check it.

Do you sell extra rimless screens? Seems like replacing them is the easiest thing to do. I haven't done that yet actually because I have been cleaning the screen with the stem. But it's still seems fragile for long term use.

Thanks for the ideas guys, but it doesn't look like my screen has moved since I got it. I pulled it further away from the coils anyway but that didn't help. I also left it sitting without a battery for a few hours and a fresh battery didn't fix it. Oh well, it seems like a very rare issue that I'm sure will be dealt with promptly.

@BaronOfBud

did you flash the .bin file that puts your tubo firmware back at factory settings?

id try that, then immediately flashing the cruise firmware again and seeing what happens. it may just need to be reset.

edit:

i do this often, as I'll get really baked and try using my tubo without looking and end up changing some settings and not knowing what i did. this is how I get things normal again

Might actually get here before Independence Day!! (States) So excited, and grateful to funkyjunky for allowing me another chance to order after something came up the first go around, and even the second time when I was supposed to order my high ass didn't send the message about my order and didn't even realize til 10 days later (i just thought my order was getting ready the whole time ) he replied soon after with one ready for me to buy i was so relieved. All that to say, what great customer service. Love to help fellow members out and their businesses. Can't wait to try out the tubo, when i saw this on the unreleased section I felt like my dreams had come true, this was the type of vaporizer I had wanted all along, even since I got my first vaporizer I wanted something along the lines of a tubo, a box mod type vaporizer. Anyways, thats enough rambling, if you can't tell I'm high:p

Edit: oh yeah I believe i just got the long bent stem and a short stem? What else do you guys recommend buying for it besides batteries?

I assume you got a whip with it? You may not want or need this until you get comfortable with your tubo but I use the ddave stem pack. I microdose and find that using the 2 screen method works great.

The whips that you can buy from @funkyjunky are really pretty, but a bit short for my purposes. A whip from Arizer (made for Extreme Q) works flawlessly.

You can also attach your whip (of whatever length) to the short stem.

Actually I don't think I did. Didn't think it would be ideal but if you think it goes well with the Tubo I'll get one.

Thanks! If i buy one it'll probably have to get one from somewhere around here due to shipping costs

I recommend the wrapped whip as well. I don't really like using the short stem without it. I haven't even tried attaching the whip to my long bent stem, but the whip is really nice.

I'll probably see if I can get a longer one as well, once the store opens.

I'd never really used whips much but since I got my tubo I also use it with everything. I don't need to use water when I use the whip. Sounds like there are several options for whips: Ratchett, an EQ one and I got a long one from Alan although I use it with a different vape. The whip fits on the end of Ddave's stems. And Ddave sells whips as well so if you're getting any of his products you can get it all in 1 place.
