I'm so torn. I could just barely afford everything if I look around and get a controller/coil elsewhere for 75-90 bucks (it is possible I think), but I'm just wondering on bang for my buck and overall usage/versatility.

I have a rig I use with an old enail, 20mm, and quartz banger more often than not, and I have an old but strong Da Buddah just for hard hitting desktop whips......

My only portable is an arizer air that is pretty disappointing cloud wise.

I love big clouds and pipe/bong like rips. I chase clouds more than flavor. Sometimes I can dab inside, sometimes I have to go out to my deck, sometimes I'm on the go though. I have electrical outlets everywhere.

Such a conundrum.
Though I have thought of one possible solution -

Get a good portable thats supposed to really rip (the cfx is 30% off on PIU, or a Mighty clone is 80 from ebay or dhgate). That's about 120. I can get the Flowerpot body, handle, and cap for 125 shipped I believe.
I can get the 20mm body to use with the coil I have and just make sure to stick with 20mm in the next couple weeks when I would order another controller (possibly Auberins). With that and a portable that actually gives clouds......I SHOULD be set for the foreseeable future.

Opinions? Thoughts? Criticisms? Random anecdotes?

I think the Flowerpot is for you man and you already have a Enail so that's a huge plus to start off and see if you'd like it but from what i am reading it seems it is right up your alley. By you saying this " I love big clouds and pipe/bong like rips " justifies the purchase as that is exactly what the Fp will provide along with being super efficient , the one thing i highly recommend with it is a carb cap but you have that listed. That is what is going to get you hat super dense vapor. A good portable will rip and i have tried and owned all you have just listed and none will come close to what the Fp provides. The Mighty would be the closest but the vapor is not as dense and i like Fp allot better. That's a real mighty also , do not buy a clone and put your health at risk it never works out and you'd be wasting money imo. Don't be torn , try it out with your enail 1st. You will love this thing. Best of luck.

Dude you pretty much sold me.
I'll use my old controller, order a body/handle (suited for 20mm) and a cap. I can get a new controller/20mm coil in a week or so anyways.

I still do need a portable to go with it, in the cheaper range. Forgetting the mighty clone, any suggestions that you've owned that provide some solid vapor, some dense clouds?

Battery usage life from full charge, size, convection/conduction, etc.......of no concern. I need rips. I'm wondering if the cfx will provide that with a slight mod (and, again, it's 118 discounted with lightning fast shipping)?

Last question of this post -
Elbow screens or anything to mod this FP for efficiency?

I want to conserve my herb, get a few good rips, do a double decker, call it a session.

I can see that being my regular routine.

Awesome , cant wait until it arrives bc you are gonna be amazed. I'm happy i could help and you definitely will not be disappointing. As for a inexpensive portable that hit's hard , that's a tough one , like @Hogni stated the vapcap M is a heavy inexpensive hitter , i had one , my reason for selling it was due to it not suiting my needs with the fact i could only get maybe 2-4 hits tops per packing and than i had to reload. I do highly recommend a sticky brick , they hit very hard , i have the og and the clouds are tremendous but than again both of them are butane powered. For something with a battery it is going to be hard in the price range , the cfx never really did it for me. It was a nice vape but i also had a mighty at the same time and it just blew it away in vapor production. I do like my Pax 2 and it hits very hard but takes allot of flower , a plus for me but not others but the version 2 is not so expensive and comes with a 10 yr warranty. I also heard for under $100 the Vivant alternate hits like a mighty and crafty , its something i been wanting to try , maybe give that a look.

Going awesome and cheap? Go VapCap "M"!
It's nearly like a spliff in the ol' days - just with a piece of wet filling what restricts the air flow a little bit ;)
But it's banging like nearly no portable else.
I must find out more about this vapcap m........

I don't mind it being butane powered. I think I'm going to sell my air, I can't get clouds from it. It's so damn restrictive even if I take the mouthpiece off the stem. I know there's other stems and such but I haven't heard of any that really give what I'm looking for. I know the mighty/crafty do, but that's well out of range.
I was thinking about the viviant alternate but the cfx was intriguing.

Where does anyone see the alternate for under 100? Even with the 15 at piu its still more?

The cfx/cf are good vapes. They work good through a bong too if that's important to you at all. They totally satisfy my need for a portable vape.

I get huge clouds out of my Arizer Air , the thing is you have to have some technique using it. I have a variety of stems that all work great. It is a sipper not a ripper , so you want to grind fine , make sure your material is somewhat dry and not pack the stem tight at all so you have a good amount of heat and airflow flowing through your flower and remember slow , steady pulls. The Viviant can be had from dhgate for like $75 , no warranty though . I remember the actual U.S. site having a coupon to bring it under $100 but i have not been on the thread in awhile.

I have the original glass vapcap and prefer it to my Arizer Air. Hits a lot harder IMO. But the chamber is small, not the best choice if you have fairly high tolerance.

There's no doubt the Air can give clouds, but in my experience (2015 model, stock glass stems) you have to really sip just a little and it's a good amount of slow drawing just to get decent vapor. I don't like "sippers" personally. A medium to fast draw is preferred. With the Air it's like sipping a chunky milkshake through a straw. Yuck. Too difficult.
Whatever portable I get, the only real requirement is free flowing draw and thick clouds obtained with ease.....

I wouldn't be using it as a constant daily driver. A few times a day, give or take, with a little bit at a time.
It's still in the running, the vapcap m is at least.

Vapcap M, CFX, Alternate, Healthy Rips Force (or fury), and one or two others to narrow down from.
The only one I know I'm going to get is the FP, as soon as I narrow down this.....

Received my package from Newvape a little while ago. Went with the Sic, 18mmn male body with handle, and the lollicap (already have a coil and controller).

I'm really enjoying it so far! The clouds this thing can produce are unreal; hands down the densest fullest vapour production out of any vape I own (don't have big hit champs like the supreme/herborizer etc though).

Of course I ran out of concentrates right as I received it and haven't had a chance to restock yet, so I can only comment on it's performance with herb. But it definitely lives up to every positive statement in this thread and then some, IMO.

My first session I was unsure what temp to do. So I just went with 680 because I saw it in @disGRUNTled 's updates and some other members commented it was the sweet spot for herbs/dabs. I could have read more but I was anxious to use it :D. Absolutely destroyed my bowl in 2 rips! Actually almost combusted the second time because I just didn't expect it to be extracted so thoroughly. Definitely was not prepared for such a heavy session...It knocked me right out!

My next round with the Twax I decided to lower the temp to 650 since I wasn't using concentrates and wanted to stay conscious :p. This time I was getting 3-4 hits, thorough browning but easier to manage away from combustion. Almost as milky as 680? I don't think I can hit long enough to tell the difference in clouds, but 650 tastes better to me...Definitely satisfying regardless. I think this is the area I'll be playing around in for my herbs.

As other members have said I'd definitely recommend getting the carb cap; absolutely essential to get those milky clouds! I also noticed that the grooves in the cap can be used to rest the hot head/coil on like a coaster. The carb cap gets very hot though and it's not super secure, not a perfect solution.. But it definitely does the trick if you didn't think to pick up a stand like me and just need to set it down while repacking.

I also think if you go with the male body it's probably a good idea to get a reclaimer or something so that the FP isn't going right into your glass piece.. The Ti body gets super hot and I've had a time or two where it expanded making it difficult to remove. Easy to get out once it cooled with the right wiggle, but I think it's putting some stress on my glass.

All in all I'm very pleased with the quality and performance of the FP. It's capable of producing thick full clouds as soon as I'm in the right temp range, no matter how much or how little herb I put in there. Its build quality is superb, its design is ingenious, and its performance will satisfy even the most jaded/experienced of vaporists. Plus the price is pretty good, I think! This is definitely one to consider even if you're only going to use it for herbs.

I look forward to using it with concentrates soon! Very excited for my first double decker hit :D. Thanks to everyone who have been posting their experiences! The FP is the reason I started looking into Enails and everyone's accounts helped me find a great product.:tup:

Great news @Prolusio , sounds like you almost got the technique down perfect, Congrats on adding this beast to the collection man. Very happy you joined us . Good tip also , a drop down is always recommended when using a male fitting . I think 650F is a good starting point also for a double decker . Best of luck with everything.
