...Anyone have tips & tricks for cleaning the cap? Mine have gotten a bit of that burnt popcorn taste & a q-tip & ISO haven't quite cleared it up. All the other parts are like new after an ISO soak.

Somebody above beat me to it, but yes... BAKING SODA! Can clean cap with other stuff that is more abrasive, but way I've been doing it on last couple cleans is to use baking soda. First, put cap in a very small container (i use 1/2 c measuring cup). Dump some baking soda on it, add some vinegar and let it fizz and do its thing. Rinse in hot water. Take a little bit of baking soda and scrub up outside of cap while it's damp. Then put a little baking soda inside cap and add just a bit of water to make a paste. Scrub using a Q-tip, corner of a dish rag, or little brush. I like Q-tip best because easiest to get around in there and be able to see where you still need to scrub. Rinse in hot water after and should be pretty clean with just a bit of heating patina left.

Yesterday I was trying to put some order on my toys box, when a cracked OG body popped out from a green tube
P1100849.jpg

I never throwed it because it wasn't tecnically broken... and yesterday I've popped out the SS screen and found a way to use it. I'm pretty sure someone before me already posted about the possibility of mounting the SS Tip (and also Ti? Don't know its size..) in a glass OG body...
I've then noticed that the OG does not fit my DIYnaStash "M" tight hole and was also too tall for the other compartment... didn't want to put the box under that evil DIY driller stand again, so I've sacrified a mouthpiece and cutted at need and recycled all the slices:
IMG_3668.jpg

I'm totally VAScapped, and after some glasses of wine and 2 rounds of Vap I've started to consider it sexy... yesterday. Today less.
IMG_3672.jpg

But it's functional. And the remains protect the injured OG and keep it ready for the next, last battle.
IMG_3673.jpg

Despite the rough, drunk cut the short mp works very well.

Well the cap should be sealed right? So here's what I do. First some iso, and let it acts to soften the eventual burns. Then scrape the inside of the cap with a wood stick of the right diameter and BAKING SODA. Mild abrasive and disinfectant, for a shiny and odorless vape!

Thanks guys! Exactly the info I needed!

A little update from my attempts at setting up the vapcap for hash from like 100 pages ago: the adjustable Ti tips ended most of my struggles. Gotta love those wizards at Dynavap. Currently it's set at the shallowest level & I have a small rectangle cut out of a Ti mesh screen bent to a slight V shape on top of the hash to keep the cap clean works very well. May try the 2nd shallowest setting with one of the w9 black ceramic donut wicks for heat retention later in the week.

...never had the og...can't comment on its taste...but the omni's...uni's...vong's are famous for their taste....that I can say ...the taste is exquisite ...

Try a triple torch. Somewhat counterintuitively the hotter the torch the cooler the vape as the cap reaches click temp more quickly before the vaporizables heat all the way through. I use a triple torch for flower & a double or single for hash loads. Combusted my first few flower loads while using a single jet torch.

Thanks for the replies, I figured it out, and now have a flavour I really like! Very happy!

I don't have a triple lighter, but the clue that a single flame lighter heats the cap more led me to try heating really close to the end of the tip, and it now tastes much better, still producing good clouds and darkish ABV. Thanks so much for your advice, all. Though I have to be honest you're making it harder for me to hold off getting a few of the Ms for myself and friends.

Why storing the hemp in the stash? Rare opportunities to need that. Changing the hemp bed in my "hash only" Omni Burl only once a month. Have two green envelopes where I store all my VC replacement parts, the hemp too...
because I like concentrates, but not in every bowl and sometimes I like to hit them straight with no flowers.

PLUS the VC has been used as my out and about vape and I don't have the convenience of having the hemp fiber in arms reach.

Have you tried using a concentrate pad for concentrates instead of hemp fiber? I have a dedicated Vapcap for concentrates that is fitted with a pad. Actually I have one dedicated to indica concentrates and another for sativas.

You can load up the pad with a good amount of concentrate and sip it all day long.

I haven't tried a pad in it yet...

honestly, since I got the hemp fiber...i figured out it's my favorite way to use concentrates in a flower vape.

pads are okay, but there is always a slight metallic taste or 'essence' with pads

so when you use concentrates with your VC, you have a dedicated unit?

I would be amazed if I could load anything a sip all day...tolerance through the roof!

I'm a microdoser, so I try to maintain lower tolerance. With a concentrate pad I can squeeze in a good amount of concentrate and it will last me a good long time. Every couple of hours I do one heat cycle.

I love having Vapcaps designated for different uses; water, concentrates and herb. Because I love my sharp, clear headed, energetic sativas, I like to have a Vapcap dedicated to them without muddying the effects from residual indica strains. For me, indicas are for relaxing in the evenings.

Here is my approach to a dedicated concentrate Vapcap.

I'm happy to report that this paycheck I am going to be picking up the dynavap M that I so desparately wanted before! And when I get my next paycheck, I'm probably gonna get A dynastash too! :p can't wait to put some high grade flower in one of these bad boys and let it rip! I may actually open a YouTube channel dedicated to reviews of vaping equipment and whatnot, maybe people will enjoy it!

My collection has grown and I'm not sorry. :D

From L->R:
PP twist and burl ER, Cocobolo Omni and stash, Cocobolo nonavong stem and padauk ER, M and wenge ER, ebony XLS and bocote XL stash.

I'm a little disappointed that my new cocobolo nonavong stem doesn't fit into the burl or cocobolo stash. It barely fits the padauk stash, but I'm thankful it fits in one of them!

I love them all, but the PP carb-less twist is my absolute fave.

@Squiby very nice! I know things can get lost in the tide of this river like thread.

I might have to try top loading my wax too...normally I wrap in the middle.

@Jen collection game on point! so it looks like the regular stash and the ER are the same size...
does the regular stash hold more flowers since it doesn't have the concentrate resivor

Wow that is a beautiful lineup you have there! One for each occasion. I wish i would've seen that padauk DS on the website before i placed my last order, would go perfect with my padauk @phattpiggie twist stem that i cherish so much.:o
On a side note i received a second hand DS xl from another member on this forum that both my PP and VonG stem wouldn't fit. DynaVap actually shipped it to their facility, widened the hole for me and sent it back to the east coast. Now everything fits no big deal. What a great company and CS they have. I will definitely be buying from them again and again if this is how they treat their customers. Thanks again @Arielle.Dynavap you are the best!

Greetings,

It has been a long time coming. I’ve been paying attention and listening to those making posts, as well as trying to assist with phone calls and customer service. As always, our objective is to learn from our customers and continue to improve our products. So, if you are new to this forum or our products, your feedback is helpful and most welcome. This includes anything anyone thinks we can improve upon. Please tell us. ☺

So here is an update from the VapLab. We have been working intently on one of our favorite products; the all titanium Omnivap. Here yet again, I need to commend Jason.

We have been discussing how to bring it back, in terms of design and features. Many ideas back and forth, but in the end, the angular design of the NonaVonG was the inspiration, and Jason took it to the next level. This new geometry helps in several categories.

Here are a few of the first bodies off the machine.

And dressed up ready for the evening.

IMG_20170629_112802067_zpsx7qls4ab.jpg

Moving forward the next piece of this modular puzzle (which has been just out of reach for too long.) The Omnivap XL. Here it is sporting the new geometry just in time to join in on all the summer fun.

Everything begins with first impressions and what we have received so far is good. Multiple leads of facets with a variable pitch helical design. These facets provide a new level of tactile feedback and grip as well as a whole new appearance.

And a hand picture for old times and size comparison.

IMG_20170629_112957768_zps9iyniy4v.jpg

Also, all OmniVaps for the last week or two have been shipped sporting our new titanium condenser. It took a while to get it figured out, sourced and dialed in, but we now have it. OmniVaps are now all titanium except for the cap and the O-rings. Here they are, and both size mouthpiece and condenser assemblies will be available as parts. The new designed body and now stem will also be in the parts section by the weekend.

IMG_20170629_114059971_zpsqkzmtpl2.jpg

The new Omnivap continues the evolution of our titanium components and is the first glimpse of what our new in house machining capability is all about. We hope it is a welcome update.

This redesigned device presents a great opportunity to elaborate on why we elected to try machining all of our metal parts and create our own in house machine shop.

It would have been far easier to out source this type of machining and make large numbers of exactly the same thing.

We did not out source it because it was too important for us to not only maintain a tighter grip on quality control, but also so we could streamline improvements and continue the development and evolution of our entire product line. This provides us the ability to take suggestions for improvement, or new ideas, from concept to production very quickly.

Last, but...

Beginning on Friday, June 30th at 7:10 CDTpm we will launch our Battery Independence Day Special. This time of year seemed like a fitting time to celebrate independence from batteries or any singular heat source for that matter. DynaVap will have 20% off our entire site outside of the custom builder options.

In addition there will be something special for all of our existing registered customers. These details will be in an email direct from us to you. Enjoy the “fireworks.”

Cheers,

George

Just tested, and they both hold the same, despite the concentrate container.

Gotta say... I got the new omni body today, and it's a huge improvement. I personally like using it backwards.

The carb hole is placed perfectly, the multi faceted shape is absolutely stunning, and it brings new life to my omni. About to go for a skate with it.

I'll be posting some pics and a video later if you are all interested!
