Using Balloon/Bag with concentrates question

i'm sitting here all nice and toasty and i was wondering how people who use the balloon systems vape concentrates and at what temps.

i've read to vape at high temps to get more out of the shatter (for example) and others that say to vape at lower temps to make it last longer. these comments are usually about using a whip or a portable.

as i don't like to cough at the higher temps, i typically vape concentrates from 380 to 405 degrees. from 400 on makes me cough.

i use .05 of bud and .05 of shatter (on vape pads) in my herbalizer and let the bag fill for 90 seconds. i usually vape from the bag through a bubbler.

i have a nectar collector but dabbing makes me cough way too much. my old lungs have been though an awful lot of weed.

do you prefer whips to bags? i try the whip every once in awhile but it just doesn't do it for me like using the balloon.

I don't have a Herbie and have never used one. I do, however, own a Volcano Digit and definitely use it for herb/concentrate sandwiches. I use the reduced chamber with the dosing capsule. Bit of herb, a couple of dabs of concentrate, a bit of herb on top, then yes....I go for higher temps than I do for just herb.

In the 'cano for herbs, I generally run 385 (maybe a little bit higher than most??). With herb/concentrates, I run about 410-420 F and get large milky bags. I don't mind the higher temp in a bag insofar as the bag cools and I can hit it when I want (within reason) and get some breaths of fresh air in between draws. Works wonderfully.

In my Mighty with the dosing capsules, I do likewise but the Mighty will only run up to 410 F so that's where I go.
