Maybe get a 3. party glass mouthpiece for the mighty - it is hold in place by a bit of silicone tubing and much easier to pull out and in

Even though I broke part of the base of my mouthpiece while trying to put the mouthpiece back on the CU, the mouthpiece is once again safely in place (as it was from the moment it broke). It doesn't even seem broken.

I did one session yesterday without the mouthpiece. Interestingly, during this session, I triggered the auto-shutoff restart; possibly several times. Which never happens when I use the mouthpiece. I think this happened because there is a little less draw resistance when drawing without the mouthpiece.

This session felt more like how I think S&B intends a Mighty session to feel; kinda like it read my mind. Normally it shuts off at the first possible opportunity, which works for me most of the time. I just wonder if this is how it would normally feel while using the mouthpiece if my respiratory system was as strong as a normal person's.

I believe the forum rules allow me to criticize a vape company once. I'll take my one shot. These cooling units are too difficult to open and reassemble. The only easy thing about the cooling units is breaking little bits off -- now that's easy. No wonder they offer a four pack of replacement mouthpieces for $11. Wondered why before, was it a sanitary issue? NO! It's a bad design issue. And they have the nerve to charge $56 for a three pack of CUs, which should be included free. There. That's out of my system.

When I push the mouthpiece in, I angle it so 3 of the 6 little prongs fit in first, then exert a bit of pressure in their direction while push/wedging the remaining prongs in with thumb nail. When I rush or shake at this point, I'll miss one of the prongs while pushing down and sort of micro-twisting. Poor little guy is caught and snaps off. Very specific finger force vectors required for success. I will say though that the mouthpieces with a missing prong still sit, spin, and seal well with that tiny o-ring. Could probably get by with only 4 prongs. And, the ones with a missing prong are easier to reattach later, angle it in so the missing gap faces you. Yeah, I know, why wasn't I this specific yesterday? :doh:

I'm pretty sure I was wrong there, as I have now had a session, using the mouthpiece, during which I triggered auto-shutoff-timer restart(s). I'm now inclined to think my first, unexpected unintentionally-extended session was caused by psychology. More specifically, I suspect I unconsciously pulled harder when I had the mouthpiece off.

If you write to S & B, tell them it broke the first time you tried to remove/replace it, and maybe about your limited dexterity, I think they will send you, at minimum, one new one. They really don't sweat the small stuff, and have treated me very well with such issues!

@blablablabla , if you can procure 99% ISO alcohol, if anything the caps only need a quick rinse with water after a soak of as long a time as you want. In an earlier post you mentioned concern about a residue. I think this may be residue from additives in the iso you used, just my speculation on that...

  • Please think carefully before trying to stand up the Mighty with the orange pick hack mentioned several times. Bad idea, IMO. Its center of gravity is high, and can easily take a damaging face plant. Invest in a proper stand.
  • If auto timeout annoys because of a more leisurely draw style, you can restart 2 minute timer by pressing a button. I'd avoid pressing the power button, as that one gets the most presses anyway. Instead, tap the plus button.
  • When removing and reattaching the CU, I always press down slightly while twisting slowly, like a child-proof cap. My belief is the o-ring around the oven is designed to be compressed to make a good seal, and the angled screw down locking channels provide that tension. I don't like the stress I feel on the channels if I just twist without pressing down.

You have to use care with that method.
The main body's housing in the area where the cu attaches has been a weak spot in the past. Several months after original issue, the area was "beefed up" in response to the weakness. See the raised area at top of the housing, under cu?
Once you have some history of use, you may find that cleaning is only necessary every few weeks or longer. Resins can make the separation more difficult, remember heat is your friend, so try it after a session or a brief warmup on empty chamber.
I use the iso in baggie for soak, with baggie immersed in hot water for 10-20 minutes. With two halves separated, Mp removed, but screen, rings and slider tab left in place. If soaking longer, remove the slider tab or the 'hologram' sticker can come unglued!

I'm a cowardly vape user, always seeking to reduce stresses.

While the technique offers added leverage, unfortunately the fulcrum is the top fin structure of the main unit.

Perhaps letting CU get warm before attempting to disassemble. Since I also use the iso bag resting in bowl of hot water technique, sometimes when I'm too shaky or drunk to open CUs, I let them sit in bag for a couple, then reach in wearing gloves to fish them out and try again.

When I re-attach the CU, I set the CU in place in the mouthpiece.... make certain the slide lock is OPEN... then I place the CU's center circle on table... push down wnd slide lock.
This seems to be the path of least discomfort for my fingers as far as I eliminate the pinch motion in that manner.

I was excited to see the 2qan stand available for sale again. That's why I posted the link.

Got it Ryan, there are other options. I think you'd have fun crafting a stand of your own.:clap:

I don't think of the 2qan as a "charging" or "loading" stand, the way it's described in that link. It's more a prosthetic for the poor Mighty, who always wanted to stand and walk on his own. Maybe not walk, but watch it carefully. Even stands on carpet. I'm always carrying the Mighty around, out on porch and forget something, bump open wings and set it down. Or start nuking a frozen dinner, set it down. Taking a dump, uh...

Also nice for capsule users. Know it sounds dumb, but helps me. After session, holding Mighty with left hand, use right hand to take off CU, invert and dump out capsule into ashtray, use right palm to "bump" open the 2qan wings, set it down, then do a quick swab of the CU screen ring. Simple pleasures for simple minds.

@nenmayk also has a cheaper version, also listed on POTV
@Ratchett has a very reasonably priced stand, and many posts here have sung its praises. @Aezhenn makes a wooden one. Newvape has a metal one you can see in @disGRUNTled videos.

I'm sitting on what used to be a fairway but is now hospital grounds. I have used my Mighty in public a couple times today. A cop just stopped on the road near where I am; maybe 30 feet from me. I couldn't hear what he said, but I assumed he was responding to calls from stupid people who can't comprehend that a dude stuck in a chair might want to just chill in the beautiful weather sometimes; even though they see him out here just about every day. So I gave him two thumbs up and he left.

Anyway, I'm baked.

would like to thank the biggest fan of the 2qan @ChooChooCharlie ,it gives my great joy to give joy….joy is life,…. thank you understanding the vision,its life changing ;) .

We created this stand to save time-always upright,portable and ready to load

- piece of mind ,that a breeze might finally come, knock it over and at best spill the material,at worst crack the unit…. and it doesn’t look that bad either imho :)
these are not made by some big company,only by 2 old guys that got fucked by life.Whoever buys one of these owns a piece of our souls.
