Props to whoever the new glass blowers are for the gongs. Noticeably smoother polished joint and thicker joint as well. New 14mm Gong on Left Old (8 months) 14mm Gong on right.

Most of us are nano fans in this thread and we want every vaporist to know the joy of owning a nano too. You need one at least maybe two, just in case.

When I bought my enano 2 years ago after I starting using it, I had a problem with my cherry unit spitting after a week or so. I didn't send it back until I bought and received my Walnut unit. I didn't wat to be without one before I sent the cherry unit back to Epicvape. Another cherry unit was sent within 10 days after sending it back for warranty. Very good customer service every time I've dealt with them. Andy wants a happy customer every time.

I prefer the stems with the adjustable screens. I've had a few of the stems with the honeycomb glass screen. They work awesome but break easily when dropped. They break right where the glass screen is. The stems are nice and thick. The adjustable screen stems will (most of the time) withstand a fall. The glass screen stems broke every time it was dropped in my case anyway.

Great post, Carol. wrt to the glass screen stems, haven't dropped one yet but I prefer the adjustable bowl stem as the basket screen lets through less particulate matter. Even with hand torn nug, I still get more 'stuff' coming through the glass screen on the first draw in particular and after a stir (and I do stir a load once or twice).

Depends on how much you have and what you want to do with it. Can be very nice sprinkled on top of a regular flower load. Can do it by itself without flower below it, but I'd use some cotton or hemp fiber on the screen and sprinkle kief on top of that. Either way - make sure you are deep enough that the heater cover doesn't touch it.

If you have enough, you can get a little press and make a hard chunk of pressed "super-hash" out of it. This can be nano-ed (again on cotton or hemp), or just combusted like you would hash. Not really going against "vape-only" many insist on, because you're only smoking THC (resin heads) if your grinder screen is fine enough and you don't have any green mixed in. Could also eat it, but would advise decarboxylating first, which could be tricky with kief - especially if just a little bit.

I have a 4 pc grinder I only use occasionally. I just sprinkle a bit of kief on top of a regular nano load now and then for a treat when I want to get that much more stoned. Nice boost if you're heading out and don't want to have a heavy session, or if you're not up for vaping much (happens to me with bad sinuses sometimes) and want to get lifted quicker with less vapor.

Taste is always good, but will vary depending on what has gone through the grinder. I like to mix strains from day to day as much as possible, so no strain discernible taste to mine, but always delicious!

Usually use a 2 pc and vape all the kief with the rest of the flower. Have a 4pc that lives at girlfriend's house, but even usually use a small 2 pc there myself. She likes the 4 pc because ground sits on a screen in a safe place without dumping to tray (?!? - yeah, I know! whatever), but doesn't even want to know about the kief unless I load it for her.

2pc FTW every time IMO. Why save the kief (and probably have it deteriorate over time) when you can just vape it right up? I get the best material I can so don't see only using part of the good stuff and saving the rest for later. Just like I don't buy food and save the best for later - I eat it all together!

Grind less for larger grind, more for finer grind. Dump into tray, give a quick sweep with paintbrush and vape it all up together. Even use a brush with my 3 pc (GR8TR) on the grinder side to knock all little bits and kief down to the bottom. Use same brush to sweep everything to tray from bottom if using one.

So IMO pick up a 2 pc (I prefer SpaceCase - or just pull that screen section out of whatever you have if you can), a nice little tray or dish, and a stiff small flat paintbrush. Not a dollar store paintbrush! Go to an artist or craft store and get a decent one that bristles won't fall out of. I think the 2 I have were about $3 each and for use with oil paints. I figure if they can stand up to oil paint and thinner, ISO/Everclear won't be a problem. Hasn't been at all. When they start to get too sticky (6 mos or so), just give them a 10 minute soak, swab them around a bit in the alcohol, and rinse well with hot water. Dry very well! Have had the same two in the rotation for a couple years now with no issues other than dropping a bristle or two when cleaning.

I generally keep my vaping equipment pretty clean, like bubblers, gongs, etc. My grinder, however, is an exception to the rule. I have had this 4 pc space case for 3-4 years now and I have YET to clean it. Why? IDK, lazy I guess.

I've gotten away with the screen being clogged with caked-on kief because I only do a rough grind, usually upside down because I rather not have my herb drop into the bottom. A quick grind and dump it out the top, sometimes a little finds its way below.

Anyway, the thing is completely gunked up with kief in the threads, the screen, etc. I like the idea of getting a little brush and salvaging what I can, then soaking it in iso. Maybe it's time.

And I do like a little kief on top of my herb in the nano. It's usually the kief on the bottom of the stash jar.

I have a 4 piece SLX grinder but took the kief screen out. Now it's a 3 piece. I like my kief intermingled with my load. The SLX has a medium grind. It works well for the enano as well as many other vapes that I have. It even grinds the sticky Gorilla Glue with ease. I have arthritis in my hands.

Actually, I never used a grinder in decades of daily smoking, but I bought one when I got my Nano. I bought a SCS, a two piece, because as the wise man said:

I used it for a few weeks, but I didn’t get it. I have more control just crushing it up with my fingers the old fashioned way- rough crush for the Nano, medium for the Vapman, fine for the VapCap.

I agree. With a high quality, fine mesh screen in a grinder you are probably only yielding 5% kief at most. It doesn't affect the potency that much for me but others may have different results.

I look at that 5% as a savings account of sorts. Something to dip into in tough times or when you need that extra kick.

The E-Nano handles kief well. I usually top off my load with kief but a sandwich in the middle of flower is the safer option. With the kief on top its best to use it inverted with water or a j-hook, or if you're using it with the dry stem keep it horizontal.

You can wrap your kief in organic cotton or degummed hemp fiber but that's not really necessary in my opinion. Even a little ABV will work as a bed for your kief.

You can dip your small bud in shatter then dust it with kief and make your own moon rocks/caviar. Different folks call it something different. I saw it called amazeballs by a producer. It's expensive to buy.

It all works well in the Enano.

Just getting out the Gorilla Glue and the ;pd; Enano:leaf:

Different strokes for different folks! I do get the kief collecting thing, and do enjoy it when I have some. Making moon rocks (or whatever you want to call them) has also been fun, but don't plan on leaving the house after vaping them! That shit will knock you on your ass. IME, you get a nice rush and buzz while hitting and then about 15-20 minutes later stoned off you ass from that first load, and 2 or 3 more loads in at that point. Just make sure you don't have to do anything that can get confusing - like trying to change the channel or finding the bathroom in your own house! :lol:

Rough crush with fingers for the nano (and VC for that matter, VM not so much) works fine, but advise you always do a good stir to break things up somewhere between hits after the load dries out a bit. More surface area helps to extract everything well with any vape, and nano for sure. By breaking it up further you create more surface area. This should be easy with whatever kind of stir tool you use once the load dries up some. This one from @Ratchett 's Delta 3D is awesome for this, if a bit pricey for a stir tool. I haven't found anything that does as well. Also enjoy using a modified corn cob holder (that I think I picked up from @ataxian ).

There are many styles & types of these - even saw some shark ones on Amazon - but these twisty ones look like they may work really well. Whether these or others, a little stoned work with some needle nosed pliers can customize to however you see fit.

I like the course grind for mine because I feel it knocks off less kief than a finer grind. I'll use my fingers in a pinch, but prefer to use a grinder.

I have a flat scoopula shaped thing from one of those stainless wax carver sets. I stick that in my gong when I need to stir. I give it the ol' choppa choppa.

I just had a bone-head moment about 10 minutes ago. I reached over to grab something off the coffee table and without looking I touched one of my fingertips directly on the grate of the nano's heater (set to 6.5). Let me tell you, that left a mark. I don't suggest that anyone does that. :sherlock:

In fact, it was the last of my GSC (unless my stoner mind has misplaced some).

I feel like I'm having a hookah session, only it takes one breath to hit it and a separate breath to clear it. At least with my virgin lungs. A fun piece and a FC classic!

Have the FC UFO on the whip mouthpiece for past couple days. nano & JoDa carbed GonG with Platinum Cookies. Booyah! Warning... Archer with this setup can lead to hernia level outbursts of laughter. Hell, sitting in dark silence can lead to the same with nano on a UFO! :ko:
