This thing looks badass. 6.18 inches is small. I'm guessing you flip the switch, set the temp, insert tip into bong or an attachment that holds the herb.
Yeah that's what I was assuming how it would work, now I'm wondering how the glass piece attachment from Cloud to pipe will look. Will a universal piece be made available on release for those who like to run it through other glassware?

idk seems kinda big ... unless it has the batteries inside??? my short attention span gets lost in these long, drawn out announcements.

Hippie Dickie,
Looks very futuristic. Also looks to be fairly simple to use. Won't know for sure until it's released. Great job, though. I love the design. Looks to be fairly sturdy, too.

It is a bit how i imagined it. A little like using your PD as a bong tool. I really do want to see the adapter also. Digital heat display or no? Not a deal breaker for me, but nice none the less.
Foolie, if you read the thread it has been said that this item will work with both 14mm and 18mm GonG joints, so not only with the cloud glass. A lot of us would feel too sad without our old glass.

Looks very classy to me :D

Can't wait to see more :)

You guys are doing great, thanks for keeping us in the loop too!!

Cool...a sneak preview.

I cant wait to find out how this fucker performs. :D

Where do the herbs go? Does it come with a proprietary bowl?

The unit does look great (although I seek performance and durability over looks when it comes to tools, aestetics are still important).

No digital, which is fine with me. Having those flashing numbers on display also means having a lot higher risk of failure. The latest word from Cloudville is a dial with numbers, like the Volcano Classic. There'll be an LED (or perhaps two) that goes from red (heating) to green (ready to vape).

Learning the right draw speed should not be necessary. If you like to 'hit like a Hoover', there should be no problem. ;)

The glass (the name is still confidential I think) will be basic (I have no details here) for the low end model, and different preferences for glass styles will be satisfied at (unknown) higher prices.

Are you planning to release a 230v version and do international sales this year?
fingers crossed ;)

I agree with the dial. My digital Extreme is so pointless when it doesn't refer to the temp of the air going over the herbs. I think it's more a gimmick than anything and works with the remote. It's nice to have notches or numbers to remember exactly where you want to go.

So with this vape, it will not matter how hard you pull?

I think one of the big things was that it would have enough heat for anyone. Just like vhw. You should be able to hit it as hard as possible and it should like it.

..that sounds dirty...

I have read here about a few new Vapes that are being introduced. All seem interesting with some new design features that many current units lack. However the VapeXhale seems from the brief description and rendering to be the one I am most interested in. I have an Extreme now that I really love, but I am so committed to the vaping lifestyle (after trying a Volcano 4 months ago) that I have no problem owning multiple devices. Still looking for a great portable though.

I REALLY hope they go the route of the VHW and produce a proper 240V Australian version.

Screw all the other vapes that do 220V European :mad::mad: If I spend $300 I don't want a silly foreign plug :mad::mad:

oh yeah u guys have the angled flat pins well it's better then the US ones that fall out if the cable is to heavy we have the round ones here nothing silly but the poms and their plugs thats overkill:lol:

Well the plug is really not a problem for me, it is an easy fix, changing the plug or using an adapter.
the 110v is a problem forcing me to buy an stepdown transformer.
If there is just one version that operates in the 220v - 240v range I will be satisfied

Lots of different voltages and plugs being used around the world http://www.kropla.com/electric2.htm

I'm sure many of you are familiar with the study by Norml that shows that THC is reduced by water filtration.
Vaporbongs get my significantly higher... so study or no study, nothing is going to switch my usage and IMO you definitely shouldn't worry about it, in fact I urge you to switch to vaporbongs :)

People bring up the NORML study a fair bit, but that's for combustion and NOT vapor.

THC is not soluble in water to the extent that a significant amount of material should be lost... so why do these combustion studies show otherwise?

One of the best theories I heard is that the THC sticks to or gets trapped in all the surrounding particle matter in the smoke and gets trapped in the water, the THC itself doesn't dissolve in the water.

Therefor if you apply that same logic to vapor, which is pretty much free of other particle matter in the vapor, the THC not being soluble in water should glide straight through.

:D

Please let's not derail this thread with something that's been discussed ad nauseum. To answer the question, yes, you can use it without water.

The render is a nice tease, I'm partial to the brushed aluminum. To me that says 'quality', and I'm confident that no expense has been spared to make this the best vape possible.

I was a bit skeptical about the in-house glass to be included with every unit, but after seeing some prototypes and learning about the artists behind them my mind was changed quickly. I can't wait till the whole picture is revealed to all. :brow:

Stonemonkey, u said it was hands free? do u have an approximate final weight?it looks pretty small in the pic and aluminum will be light. Basically its not gunna tip a bong with an angled down stem is it? Cant wait to see more (especially the glass options available)!

That's a tough one to answer because all water pipes balance differently from each other. As you alluded to, we chose aluminum because it is more lightweight and for the most part, I believe you can use it hands free with most water pipes that aren't minis.

It will work perfect with stemless style waterpipes as they sit completely vertical but as always with glass, I like to be careful when I am handling it. If you want a kick back vaping device, the Cloud will compliment a nice waffle or showerhead bubbler quite nicely.
