Those of you who don't like the 2" SLX, do you have any opinions on the small 2" space case? Just trying to figure out if it's the size alone that's an issue or if it's what SLX is squeezing into that footprint.

Yeah, thanks for your warning, and you are right. It just came too late. My hands are actually fairly small and it still mattered. I would have to have Trump hands for it not to matter...
I haven't held it (SC) so can't compare, but the SLX being shorter may contribute to its FEELING too small. I might be able to get used to it, but I think I would be happier over all with the larger one. And double the number of teeth can't be bad either.

If I can take a picture I will- I'm not great at that. But I've been using my SLX and my SW2 about the same. Both are new and I'm using them without the screen. Over time I've noticed that there is a major difference in how much dust accumulates or gets stuck in the teeth. And the one that is pretty much clear of any debris is the SW2- not the SLX.
Given the price I think the SW2 is great. I'm using it more than my Gr8tr and SCS.

Slx is great even tho should have got 2.5. I turn it up side down an just grind so get it fine. Take a tooth brush an bam looks brand new. Love the way slick coating feels also.

Hey guys, so I was literally about to buy the medium 4pc Ti Space Case from VapourTown, when I had one last look in Ebay, and found a US seller of all kinds of random stuff, who had one SC in stock, so I had a look at feedback and pulled the trigger...$34 + $13.30 shipping + $11.36 Import charges (taken care of by this Global Shipping Programme, which I'd never heard of, but seems to take a lot of hassle out of buying goods from the US to Ireland!), for a grand total of like $58 bucks. This seems like a great deal, and I am pretty certain it is a legit Space Case. Seller has taken their own photos of the SC and a google image reverse search turns up nothing at all, so I think I struck gold!
Here is the listing, if any SC owners can confirm for me that this looks legit, please do

Boom! Thanks man, I was pretty certain, but your word is solid confirmation for me! Pretty thrilled about this, I won't lie. $34 is the cheapest I have seen so far. Such a random find in among the seller's other stuff...literally hundreds/thousands of random household items, hygiene products, and then this space case haha! Maybe they think it is for grinding those other herbs we love, like basil and parsley

Talked (chatted) with PuffitUp and I'm going to exchange it for the bigger one. The 2" is just too small and I would never be happy. It only ends up being like $9 more, plus shipping one way. Might as well be happy, right?

I got an email and they are having a post 4/20 sale on SW2. I think it's the least expensive quality grinder right now especially given the sale.

I dunno if this is news to anyone, but all through my travels across the interweb searching for genuine Space Cases, I never came across this URL or website before, it seems to be the actual Space Case manufacturer's website, which I repeatedly read didn't exist...Is this a hall of fame derp or is this news to anyone else?

Intersting. I too have looked their official website and never found it... That said, it doesn't look like that site has any encryption, so beware if you order from it.

Hey bud, so it is an interesting find to someone else at least!
I just made a purchase of an SC on eBay (a few posts before this) so won't be buying from this site, unless I lose the kif scraper or o-ring. I have to say that despite lack of encryption, it seems to be legit. The about and contact pages certainly are trying to convince us anyway haha! The Facebook they link to is also active and makes me think this really is the elusive manufacturer's point of contact. Maybe they just haven't done a great job with SEO...their re-sellers are higher in the search results!
Off topic, this new sale has me thinking about that SW2 again! Decisions...

The way the about page read, it seems like the owner isn't worried about it and doesn't have time to maintain it. Which is reasonable.

SW2 is so reasonably priced that even if I miss a sale, it is on my shortlist anyway!

The other plus for me about the SW2 is that it's easy to turn. I know that's not an issue for most people here but I have limited motor strength. The SLX is a challenge for me. I liked the Lift because it was easy to turn but the grind is better on the SW2. (I still use my gr8tr but have put away my SCS and SLX for now.)
I don't know, I'm not sure I've ever looked for the space case website. Why are you asking me, anyway?

. This is massive for me and the reason I like the Kannastor Solid Body, because of that thick ass top piece, the mechanical advantage/leverage is huge for people like us. I don't have limited strength, but over time my wrists get tendonitis. So, how does the SW2 compare? It looks similar in design to most others with a smaller top, but with the teeth removed, it must make all the difference.
How does the grind consistency on the SW2 compare to the coarse plate of the Kannastor?
At this point, i'm still using a Zeus Vortex crank, had it for years, never an issue and the least maintenance grinder i've ever used, as well as ease of use. Since I prefer a coarser grind, i'll probably just pickup a quality black leaf crank since it's the only other "screw down top" crank grinder i've seen. I love the ease of the crank, but sometimes BB chunks spin around and it gets annoying.

Could it be how new your SW is compared to the others? I'm sure the missing teeth help too, but I have no trouble le turning my SLX at all... Maybe it is how you load it too, I always do small pieces loaded in between teeth in all my grinders. I'll need to try an SW2 some day

My slx and sw2 are both new. And i microdose so only grind a tiny bit. But I will check them out again with the same herb- I usually grind a different one in each grinder.
