This torch has been used every day since it arrived, it's not perfect but it comes to pieces which is great for someone like me who refuses to throw anything away.
I'm using the cheapest gas I can get and have expected some jet problems, which is exactly what happened the other day.
One of the flames was very small and was 'Twisting my melon, man'.
Two screws and the top comes off, the little black inserts pop out leaving a nice little window to work thru to reattach the silicone pipes to the jets on reassembly. A tweezer job.
Stripped it and then forced gas back thru the jet and put it back together. Problem solved.
A big tank but it never seemed to empty fully, I'd had to remove the flame adjuster and move it round to allow it to empty as much as it will before the flame quality is compromised. It lasts me a couple of days with the added shield. Well worth £4.
The first Hong JIng was the most wind proof design, the body has a couple of little stress fractures so it's my back up's, back up. Cheap flashlight body re-purposed. Again at least a full day to a tank.
I wanted the Aomai to look as 'normal' as possible so I've left the lid in place which means the slot at the hinge lets the really strong gusts thru, but it's a lot easier to tuck in to a coat and make work. Random piece of aluminium tube that I had this time.
It's got white labels stuck to it so I can see if there is any major scorching, which it hasn't.
