It really shouldn't need to be that different from the Milaana instructions no? Just tweak the battery info, can hold trigger longer, variations depending on power knob setting. Maybe the quick card I worked on way back when is still useful too? Shouldn't be too hard to throw something together for next shipments right?

I know that I'm slow on making sense of things at first. Without the help of those here I would still be confused in spite of my having a milaana since they first came out. I think that if the plan is to market this outside of vape forums there will be other people like me and that clear instructions and even videos would be helpful. I think George from DV is the master of videos- he has short ones on every aspect of using one including taking it apart and putting it together. Maybe written instructions now- I doubt Ryan has time to make there micro videos and they aren't needed until marketing expands.

Yes the battery compartment is marked with a + and - for battery positions. And the smooth end is the negative end and the end with the circle (? whatever it's called) is the positive. It uses 2 batteries. Mine came with the HG2. I'm using the samsungs with another vape so I don't get confused.

@grokit that was a poor attempt at expanding the polarity of the battery as it is not marked lol. @little maggie there are no plans to manufacture Zion beyond the pre-order so I'll probably just do some quick video how-to's once I have a Zion. There are hundreds of pages of info here and some videos on YouTube for those adventurous to look. Too bad there wasn't a best of for Zion and Milaana to summarize?

@little maggie what did you find difficult other than the battery insertion and clockwise rotation for higher heat? I want to make sure I cover everything on the video.

Good progress this weekend getting Zion bodies assembled and through routing.

I think it would help to include installing the batteries in a video. The main issue I had problems with was figuring out the temp control. I have mine marked now.

I am pretty sure I am part of the second wave as my receipt is from October 2015.
When you say contacted personally, do you mean you yourself or an outside agency like for the Milaana? If it is an outside agency will they be the same people? They ended up in my junk mail last time, but I should be good if it is from the same agency. My point being, I get a lot of junk mail and would like to know what I am looking for when I check my mail.

Also at that time, can I cancel or add to the order? I no longer need the battery charger I ordered originally and don't know how to cancel that portion of the order.

The sender is 'Rastabuddhatao' - so it's him (via his gmail-address). You will be in the second wave, as the first one's have been contacted recently (until mid Aug.'15 pre-order).

I would try to reach out for him via mail or website. He certainly will get your order positions sorted - but as I understand, he would contact you prior to shipping anyway.

Is he resanding mine? Is that bitchin' knob installed yet? Has all the glue been removed from the wiring compartment? Are the battery connection tighter so the unit won't smoke.....

Good progress this week on Zion. The first batch of wood made it through finish sanding and buffing. A few steps where added based on Milaana learnings. The female heater glass was ground cut and washed. Next steps are removing and cleaning the double sided tape used to hold the parts together during finishing, drilling out the cap for the mouthpiece, stash compartment, and stir stick, and assembling the heater screens in the female glass.

It was discovered that an incorrect resistor value was used on the DC/DC but it can be changed to the correct value so it adds some time but isn't a show stopper.

Excited to get the Zion train rolling this week with the first production units shipped in over a year. Five units will land this coming weekend.

Other than machining the caps and fabricating the cork lids 30 units will ready for assembly in the coming weeks. Time will be split between making the next set of Zion bodies and assembling completed units. Please be patient as putting magic vapor genies in wooden boxes takes time :)

I am still searching for the owner of the last warranty return from early 2016 so please drop me a line if it's you.

At last, the best vape in 2107 is off and running.

Is it right that only the preordered Zions are going to be build, so that there is no chance to get one if I didn t order already?
