You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
Just received the M today. I used it with my Woodscents and worked pretty good. I used it with the butane lighter and I'm still dialing in my sweet spot. I've been busy with family over so it's been a hectic day.
Right now there's a beautiful grandchild sleeping on the sofa.

If a person was hard of hearing or you have music playing it might be hard to hear the click. Even with other people talking in a group I don't know if I would be able to hear it. I'm 60 years old and I don't think I'm hard of hearing?:hmm:

I might add a very well made device. I love all the pictures of the different units. They are very beautiful.

I want a metal stem like this, possibly with wood too that fits over the oven post of the Woodscents better. This does work though. @Squiby love all your accessories. A very nice collection.
Imagine having 5 people around with music and everyone is using a vapcap. It's a recipe for combustion. I can help you out with your wish list. You're in luck and welcome to the wild and wonderful world of vapcap! You already have what you need with the shaft of the M to fit on the WS, just remove the tip of the M and replace it with the tip from your WS. It's that simple! Have a great evening!

I hate to say this, but I received the M today and am struggling to get great vapor. I have used a Launch Box, Daisy, Boundless CFV, and Extreme Q in the past.

With the carb closed, there is almost ZERO airflow, no matter how hard I draw. Is it supposed to be like this? But with the carb open, I don't seem to get much, if any vapor. I have tried feathering it at different times, etc. On the second bowl, we used the rubber mouthpiece with a bong. My gf got ok vapor on the first heat cycle, but then I combusted on the second heat cycle! GRRR lol...I feel like an idiot! It was silent in my place, but we still barely heard the first click (it was very very light), it didn't give a bigger click. So I stopped heating it a second or 2 later...then, combustion time. But I did get stoned lol..

I have been using a single flame Eagle torch lighter and it takes about 15-18 seconds to hear the click on a cold Dynavap M. From what Vapelife X said, I thought the longer heat time might produce more vapor, but maybe I need to go with a more dummy-proof 3 or 4 flame torch??

Any advice would be appreciated. I want to blame the device, but it has to be user error, right?

Try heating here with the flame like this.

Just used up my stash...
I never revape AVB but said what the heck, maybe Omnivap can do something differently... Got some dark brown AVB in my palm and pressed it into fine dust between my fingers...
Loaded the Omni fully...
Got three huge hits in three heat cycles!!!
Taste was not great but not bad either!!!
I love this tiny miracle!!!!!!!!!!! Stash recharged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is actually the main way I use my vapcap these days. Or a quick bowl while a log is heating up. Though, I don't really have to wait more than two minutes for my HI to start making good vapor, it's more helpful with the UD which takes more like 10 minutes, it feels like. But yeah, man. It's easier to ride the edge of combustion with the vapcap than any other vape I've used. The trouble with doing this is risking a little smoldering from time to time.

Ok, I have the specks and they gradually increase in size, causing the darkening of my cap. I figured they were from the torch, I soaked the two caps I've used in iso early on, so I never connected the specks to the iso. I'll have to start using one of my backup caps and leave it iso free to see how it develops.

Perhaps I will continue to occasionally soak my main cap in iso to enhance this effect as I really like the idea of a black cap.

nnAaZVi.jpg
I do not ISO my Cap at all, and I have tiny specs of discoloration that I noticed on the TOP of my cap, but I can't get a good pic of it, and so I never posted. Looks just like the pics posted but much smaller and mostly on the top of the cap. I got mine a couple months ago and noticed it after a month of pretty heavy usage and as I said no ISO. They do recommend not using ISO to clean your vapcap, but I do not believe this is what is causing the problem. Though, it could add to the problem that apparently happens through wear and tear.

@Squiby Thanks for the recommendation on that lighter. Just ordered one to have as a backup and for portable use $4.70 USD shipped from China

That's a great flame it has, this little guy... Bigger than all my previous lighters! Might grab one as well!

Many different takes on M performance... Some don't get much airflow, some a lot. That's normal so far in my experience but should dealt with in the future! Tolerances are still not perfect and all cap and tip combinations I got so far were had slightly different airflow and fit. I wonder though if it's even possible to have even tighter tolerances...

Link for this? Sorry do not want to go through a ton of pages to find it =/

Please maybe?
Two pages isn't a ton.
You're welcome.

My ouroboros cap is getting more relevant than ever these days....

Once u get more familiar with it U'll start feeling for the click as well, it feels like a pop. I had my headphones on this morning and listening to an audiobook, went thru 3 heat cycles and felt all 3 pops no problem

I did that, it helped, thanks. Filled it about 80% full and that allowed for better airflow with the carb closed as well. Got a couple decent pulls.

Nice! This vape takes a little learned technique, you'll figure out what works best for you. Like someone mentioned a few days ago, don't be discouraged if you haven't mastered it your first day; it will all sink in. Consider that this isn't a pipe so the carb is not necessary to get a hit; I often leave it open when hitting dry for high airflow with smooth vapor or cover/feather it through my water pipe to milk up huge rips!

Yes this talk does concern me. I am trying to get a load of friends to get their first vape, in the M. I thought it was the perfect plan. But with so,e reporting bad airflow, and others emphasising the longer heat up, and whispy vapor, I dont want to feek a fool and get my friends devices that will not be satisfactory enough for them to use as their primary method, and be abandoned, never to vape again.

I really dont know what to do now. We really need the community to come together on this, and consult George. It is important. We want Dynavap to take the world by storm.

Im just concerened that some fish may try the M, struggle with it, and be lost to combustion forever!

I also think the draw method does effect your experience, are you breathing in, inhaling the vapor, trying to draw it with the lungs like you would a joint, or are you using the mouth draw method, more like puffing a cigar (in theory) where you suck the vapor into the mouth first, then inhale. I use the second typically, and use the carb to blast a little air after I've given a few pulls on the vapor, using my mouth, then moving it into my lungs with an inhale... if that makes sense... hard to explain. I am getting full, thick hits on both models, so keep at it.

Truth!

I know I've been posting a lot about my M play, but it was a month or more before I discovered that I'd been consistently underheating, and began to get the results I wanted; since then my progress (and my enjoyment) have improved rapidly - my catalogue of complaints wasn't completely different from yours, but I was more cranky about it.

As Squiby and others have observed, the 'Caps lend themselves to personal rituals; I expect it's due to the process of finding out how each of us us achieves the results, and I've been inspired by the folks on this thread & by how they have settled into 'capping & have begun settling into my own tweakable ways....

[insert segue here]

...And in playing around, I have come to a question: will the hi-temp o-rings for the Ti tip fit & work properly with the M tip? One of my Mo-rings need replacing (so THERE is a possible further incompatibility between M & Omni)...? @Dynavap? Bueller? Anyone?

I went ahead and removed the visibly-stretched o-ring at the base of the M tip...no more Frankencapping! It seems like the M is trickier to re-assemble than the Omni (getting the condenser ring to seal @ the mouthpiece end was not fun, but maybe I'm just old), and I will likely not even take them apart to clean them from here, just a quick soak in ethanol, a swab-out, & rinse.

I will keep my enthusiasm in hand....

Sounds like you're getting unnecessarily worried.

I still think the M is more restricted than the woody (mine anyway), but I've found it's not at all a bad thing. Woody requires a bit more technique because I actually need to feather the carb a bit, whereas with the M I can just hit it open the whole time - no need to bother with the carb. I get consistent extraction each time with very little effort.

Haven't noticed a significant difference in heat up time using a quad torch. The couple times I used a single, it seemed to take a little longer than I'm used to and gave me a bit of an overcooked taste, but I probably just need to work on technique. But that's not really high on my priorities with the quad working out so well.

Thanks that is very promising. I think it will be a lot better if it can work very well with the carb fully open. So I will keep on trying to round up the troops!

Anyways....I usually micro dose, do I have to fill up the vapcap or can I use a pinch? Can I use whole nugs?, fine or couse grind?
I don't own a grinder, so I never grind. I also microdose. I pull off a small nug from a flower and just pop it in there.

Vapcaps are perfect for microdosing!

Try using a mouthpull technique. With the carb closed, pull vapor into your mouth like you would if you were pulling on a cigar or a milkshake through a straw. Then either feather the carb or simply open your mouth and inhale bringing fresh along with the vapor into your lungs.

If you cover the carb and try to toke - inhaling directly into your lungs, you may be met with resistance.

okay, I feel silly now, i'd just never seen anything like it - thank you for satisfying my curiosity.
Here it is. I like it. It's cute and has a curve in it that makes it very comfortable to hold. It adds a bit of heft.

I have it as a back up and rarely use it. For a soft flame, I usually use a candle. Just hold the Vapcap above the flame to prevent any soot build up.

I think the BIC lighters must be universally known. Most households likely have one. Just think, the Vapcap may, one day soon, also become a household name. Everyone will own at least one...

If a person was hard of hearing or you have music playing it might be hard to hear the click.
The Vapcap does generate a vibration as it clicks. If you practise focussing on that vibration you will feel it and then you will feel it forevermore. Try holding the vapcap tighter or lighter to find your sensitivity.

Attention Dynavap torch shoppers:
I bought their triple torch and assumed it would ship without butane so used a shitty Bic yesterday. Today, I took the torch out of its ' slick holster and voila---it is does have butane.
So, I'll get to try a real test of the M today.

The instructions don't seem to deal with the condenser O rings. Are there different positions for changing the airflow?? I'd like to maximize vapor airflow as the M is slightly restrictive now. What positions do what to the airflow?

thanks
EDIT:
I found a video from Vapelife X and his M condenser is different as it has grooves for O-rings in 2 different spots. My new M only has one dbl groove, about halfway between tip and carb hole.
Is it adjustable? Video had a second groove, maybe out to carb hole---farther from tip. ???

Thank you so much. I was able to tailor an awesome stem for my Woodscents per your instructions using my existing bottom part the ti tip stem and attached the shaft from the M. I can use this thing two ways. I will need to add another o-ring so it doesn't leak air. Had great vapor well past midnight using some GrapeApe last night.

I assume you mean airflow when the carb is closed?

I find that both my Ti tips are very restrictive but provide extremely dense vapour to make up for it. I think the VapCap needs a certain amount of restriction in order for it to work properly. If the airflow was too fast it might not have time to heat the air up.

You can block airflow from the carb by moving an o-ring on the condenser, but I don't think you can do anything to increase it.

Yes, I'm looking for max vapor airflow when carb is closed.
What does moving the O-ring on the condenser (now positioned halfway to the carb hole) accomplish, anything?

I edited my post to add info about a video I just found where his M has two positions for condenser O-rings and my new M only has one position. ??? Is latest version even adjustable??
