Mine is likely in there somewhere...
what type of butane should I get for my lighter? I ordered the quad torch lighter. I saw someone say the use at least 5x filtered or something.
Yes, absolutely get premium butane. I used to use Vector but it isn't as good as it used to be. I have been happier lately with Colibri. Just be sure it is premium, rather than the standard Ronson with the red cap. These torch lighters don't like standard butane very well...

So glad that the M seems to be such a success. Good for us vaporists and good for the great folks at DynaVap.

Just thought I would drop in and say that I'm still using the very same original Vapcap OG that I got back in June of last year so its nine months old. It has a very small crack in the chamber from a CCD removal/reinstall but its still perfectly usable. I also have three more OG in the wings for when this one finally goes. I mention this because it seems many are leery of the OG due to how easy it is to break glass but mine has been terrific and I have taken it on the road with me before.

I also have a Ti Woody with whatever generation of Ti tip was the one made before they went in-house with latest tip. Its ok, at least its useable whereas before the draw restriction was simply unacceptable to me. But I still find that I can make my OG sing and dance while I just haven't found that oneness yet with my Ti Woody.

Anyway, just wanted to drop in and say hi to the folks in this thread.

Is there a reason to go premium? I'm currently using Vector but I'm thinking of just getting Zippo or something. My reasoning for this is highly due to one of the VC's advantages, the butane doesn't directly hit the air path. Really curious about this

It will be for the smooth functioning and longevity of your torch lighter, I believe, rather than a health concern. (Just make sure your torch has up to date health insurance first, you wouldnt want anything to happen to him/her!) :rip:

I picked up a tank of Zippo (165ml, US$3) at the grocery after my Omni arrived, for when my Ultra-Pure Plus (400ml, US$10)ran out; have not used it yet, as this other tank is lasting forever...AND I was chronically underheating my bowl.

Forgot to mention, I had my first combustion last night...:D

Is this generally understood, or is there an actual range of opinion on this?

Is there a promo or discount for the M? I know they are doing the $40 promo until midnight tonight but i swear i saw someone say they got one for even cheaper than $40.

It's $36 for returning customers. If you've bought from them and made an account, all you need to do is sign in and everything will be an additional 10% off.

Cheaper butane may have issues burning properly and can clog the jets on your torch, but otherwise you're correct that there's no concern

We are making progress in completing orders. I have a few more all ready to mail out on Monday :)

Well that should about do it for @SSVUN~YAH's weekly order, what about the rest of us?

Edit: also I tried searching in this thread but could find the answer so I apologize if this is a dumb question that has been covered already, what type of butane should I get for my lighter? I ordered the quad torch lighter. I saw someone say the use at least 5x filtered or something. I'm very new to butane products so thank you in advance

Low quality butane will clog the jets in your torch over time. Here's a chart that may be helpful:

I would avoid Ronson at all costs, Colibri is also less than ideal. Anything else on the chart should work well. I use Lucienne because I can buy it for a great price at my local head shop. Cigar stores are also good places to look for high quality butane locally.

Is it wrong to wish I had been able to order like 3 of these M ?? I am super happy to get one, but I have this feeling that I wish I could have ordered a few more. Funds just won't allow right now, but on an up note it looks like my tracking is active and I will likely see my M delivered on my B day (Tues) yeah!! never too old to celebrate!

I could not resist to the wood-taste and glass-bonding option and I added in my cart some hemp and a Blackwood novavong stem..!! I'm having early birthday as it looks like :p :mental::clap:

So, if everything works out as most people say here, my order should be ready to go mid-week... right? (this feels like a joke, having waited almost a year for the GH..!! :ninja::ninja:)

Plz someone clarify that I've understood this correctly. Having the 'M', will give me the option to use the condenser with the blackwood stem as well.. Is this so or do I need something extra for the stem?

I ordered two & have no clear idea what I'll do with them (party munitions?), honestly

I've nearly com busted a few times now, and just quickly removed the cap and blew the load out before it could cherry up. If you don't see burned material, you probably just got a really hot hit. It ruins the flavor pretty fast if you overheat it. I found that by heating around the middle of the cap I get thick heavy vapor, if I heat closer to the top of the cap, light more flavorful vapor. @Alegre I would say this one can be either a heavy hitter or a light hitter, depending on how low on the cap you heat it. I don't have any attachment to this review, but I found it informative and entertaining. Gives a quick overview on the glass version.

@Haunts Ahhh, sorry didn't take that into consideration.

@Alegre its a super efficient extraction machine in an elegant petite body. You will understand once u take a ride

Heavy hitter but the capacity is small. It produces vapour very similar to a small bong bowl. Slow, then a rush of vapour, seeming to get thicker after the first few seconds, then it tapers off and you'll hear a click. It's a very nice experience from click to click.

The effects are in the 375-390 *F range when I compare it to my Herbalizer. My herbie will always get me more couch locked at 430 F than my Vapcap with the same strain. But the vapcap is so much tastier and just as fast to get a session in.

Thanks guys! Much appreciated!

Will be ordering one in a few..........is the triple torch lighter a good one? Good price?

I never heard back on my question about their two butane lighter options, the triple torch and the quad torch.
Are they decent or are there better options elsewhere if I order a M?

Any idea if the M price reduction will be going past the weekend/ past Sunday? I'm holed up in a motel in KY but will be home tomorrow.
Thanks

@Alegre & @MinnBobber: The triple torch is a great torch for the VapCap! It will give you very quick heat up time and can also give very precise temp control when the jets are aligned horizontally instead of vertically along the cap. I hope that makes sense. The quad is also good, faster heat up but not as precise temp control and I'm pretty sure it uses more butane.

@YungLeaner: It seems the Ms are shipping quickly, but if it is important to you I would suggest a PM to @VapCap or @Arielle.Dynavap. I'm sure they would be more than happy to accommodate your needs!

How are Dynavap 420 sales? I want to put in an order for another M along with a few other parts and maybe a Dynastash. Not sure if they have better sales during 420. Speaking of which, debating if I should get the Er model of the stash. It's only $5 more but I know I probably won't use dabs in my M, I have a dedicated rig for that. I just don't want a piece that could potentially fall out and get lost (how secure is the dab container btw?).

Thanks for this info. Never knew. Do you know where Zippo fuel ranks? Can get them cheap on Amazon and ratings seem really good

I seem to remember reading that Zippo butane is not good, but take that with a huge grain of salt.

Torches are cheap enough, if you simply can't find high quality butane I guess anything will work. Ronson will definitely cause problems with your torches though, so if you decide to use it be prepared to replace your torch more often.

I can't recommend strongly enough getting out there and checking out your local supply, whether head shops or cigar/smoke shops. If I'm not mistaken there is a surcharge for shipping butane since it is hazardous. Either way, in my experience, it is noticeably less expensive to buy butane locally than it is buying it online.

Well, I caved... I just placed my order for 3 of the new M's and some spare parts. One of them is going to be mine, the other 2 are for friends. I figured I might as well pass on the savings, plus I really love introducing new people to the wonders of the VapCap! I've yet to meet anyone who has tried the VapCap and been unimpressed with it.

I'm also really looking forward to comparing the new tip with my older Ti one. Should be some fun testing! :science:

For science, of course...
