Hey guys hope your weekend was a good one. We're working on a bunch of new Dogs so we can refresh the website later this week which is good because it's just about empty other than the Vape Specials lol.

The refresh won't be huge but will be decent size with probably 20+ pieces of a good variety. There will also be a handful of Lost Dogs for those people looking for a fancy Pup at bargain prices and I think there will be a few SC2 Dogs in there as well. Good times!

I've been playing on my LG 29UB55-B with no issues. I have barely used the tablet feature and just slapped a glass screen protector on there for when I do take it out. It scales up to 21:9 on my monitor even tho the game doesn't support it and make its look amaaaazing.

I would look into Cemu. It's a wii u emulator that SHOULD be able to play BotW in the next few weeks. I'll probably be giving it a replay on there. The resolution doesn't bother me esp because I get the extra peripheral vision w the 21:9 monitor, so my only complaints are the occasional framerate drops... and I can't complain bc it's a freaking a tablet, and the drawdistance/amount of assets the game has to load are insane.

Thanks dude I'll check out Cemu. I figure I could use a Switch just like you're describing but it just seems wasteful if I wouldn't ever take it anywhere. A non-tablet dedicated home version could have more memory of something at the same price but I'm pretty sure Nintendo isn't listening to my requests lol.

You might be able to find a used Wii U for less than you'd think these days. By all accounts the game is just as worth playing there, versus the Switch. Of course, once you're done with Zelda, you're stuck with a Wii U... (that's not snark, I just mean the platform is past its twilight into dusk) But you could spend a while with Zelda.

While we're on games, any Mass Effect multiplayer people here? I loved the MP in ME3, preordered Andromeda and haven't touched the single-player campaign at all. I love that it's 100% co-op, no adversarial/PvP. Four-person matches, everyone working together, with some cool synergy between different classes' powers. I was playing late last night with strangers, and we made it through a match by the skin of our teeth, but everyone made it out alive and there was a collective 'YES!!!' on the voice chat. Not a bad way to end an evening.

Good idea thanks man! No Mass Effect for me.. for some reason I could never get into the flow of that game. Bummer too because I'm always looking for good multiplayer games!

Guilty as charged :) Thanks are definitely in order!

I'm loving the travel vvps, it's a good all around size for me whether on the desk, floor, or car. It seems rugged and I like the relative sleekness. The 24volt vvps I picked up while yard sailin' is the best $10 I've spent in recent memory, quite the steal
La8dBiM.jpg

I have had to get reacquainted with my dogs, though. I found out my dd dimmer was not putting out the 12 volts I thought as when I set the vvps to the same I instantly combusted, lol. Gross

Nice! Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad the little 24v dude found a good home too.

Also... booo for combustion! :disgust:

Yeah, I do wish there were dedicated versions, but I assume the merging is due to the sundowning of the gameboy line. Seems like they'll be going for this portable/home hybrid solution, which I guess is ok bc I still love my 3ds...

It's still cheaper than a ps4 pro and their "4k" (aka scaled up 1080p lol) and I guess I'm saving money since I won't have to buy another iteration of the gameboy again! lol. Like I said I'm great at justifying my shitty purchases.

At the very least, I'll be excited to see how things shape up once more games are out. The potential for online Mario Kart/Splatoon while at a coffee shop or something is pretty dope. If you do end up getting one, let me know! I have mario kart preordered already and will be playing a lot of that I'm sure :)

Good morning Underdogs! The sun is back here in NorCal which means time for us to kick it into high gear and get some work done around here. First a quick update.

We've got the new VVPS models on the website and a decent prebuilt inventory of both the Travel size and the 2-channel model. 3-channel and above we'll be mostly building to order though I might make a couple for the website as time allows.

The 'yard sale' stuff is mostly gone but there are a few stragglers. I'll need to go thru it and repost what's left, I'll try and do that sooner rather than later.

Alright I best get to work, lots to do so we can put a refresh up on the site later this week. As I said yesterday we'll have a variety of Dogs in this coming refresh. Everything from budget pieces to exhibition quality pieces and there will also be a handful of Lost Dogs and even a scattering of the new SC2 models.

Yeah I suspect you're right and they probably have no desire to split their product line apart again. Not to start a gamer war here but I'd love it if they just discontinued all the various portables and just ported them to iOS and Android devices, maybe with an optional controller you could pair with your phone or something.

Alright enough game talk, duty calls!

Ugh, gross. I mean, yech. Pee-yu!

(that's a dirty trick starting with a glulam, she's a beaut, haha)

Edit: what's the main body wood? is it the same zebra stock? the grain is doing some cool things there, closed circles &c, so probably something else?

Edit 2: i'm staring at my glulam, imagining curves cut into it and whether or not they would cause closed circles in the grain :smug:

Here's a pretty one to offset Lumpy.

Cocobolo custom that the owner decided to pass on since they don't like the creamy sapwood. An SC2 core found its way into this pretty lil Pup to help cheer it up.

The main body is Zebrawood, same as the others. The circles, etc are a result of the curves, the dips drop into a different color grain area and leave the circles like little islands. Pretty neat effect, good eye!

Dude I'd forgotten about that! Love it! Lumpy it shall be!

Thanks guys, yeah I feel the same way about the sapwood. I always go out of my way to try and keep sapwood on our blanks since I'm a sucker for the contrast.. like you said though @formicae to each their own.

I need to wrap things up and shut down for the night but I'm in a groove working on a bunch of 3-channel VVPS boxes that people are waiting on. I think I'll also make a couple extra to keep on hand so we can have them on the website and available without a delay (I hate making people wait for stuff when they want it right away).

I'm sure I'll tweak things a little bit here and there like always happens with a new product but so far I'm liking these. The size, the features, performance and price are all doing it for me. Hope you guys agree!

This might of been covered but are those retractable cables?
Been on a t break for to long just found a surprise so I'm really high right now. Lol

Just seems weird because all my cables have males on both ends.

And I'm really hi

@underdog

I've had midterm blues. Ton of shit going on and I forgot when you're in college everyone thinks you're an idiot and no one thinks your problems are real/valid and most importantly, everyone knows more about your major than you do

So been dealing with that wonderful-ness. I also blanked and remembered I was supposed to post a function video of 3/4-way dogging. Will have that for tonight. I only work a 4hr shift on Wednesdays and then have school the rest of the day... on my quick break right now and already feel like it's a quad-dog day.

The triple VVPS looks awesome! I'll probably skip the 3 and go right for a 4 whenever I feel like the double isn't cutting it anymore :p I can attest to the performance of em though. Had em on since I got em with no issues.

Also, damn dude. That sapwood is sweet. I love the contrast. I don't need to be tempted with more dogs as I'm already up to my nose in em, but damn if I ain't...

@Melting Pot nah those aren't retractable, they're just male ends to hook into an extension cable. or at least that's how I use em... retractable would be amazing though.

I wish I was that baked! I could/should probably be putting in more effort...
What's funny is I've been on a financially forced t break for almost 3 weeks every other day or so i go bonkers and dig through my pile of junk. Lol
Today was a couple dirty glass stems.
Reclaiming wasn't gonna do much but a torch to the side of the stem, with some fin`ese of course.
I'm felling quite pleasant at the moment.
I dont recommend extended t breaks to anyone. Fuck that
Back to the junk pile.
Thats not a nice way to talk about my prized processions.

Morning y'all, happy hump day and all that.

That 3 channel is awesome! I'm gonna have to pick one of those up for sure.. That would be a game changer.. I can definitely see a use for a 4 channel, but realistically 3 is probably perfect...

Thanks dude, they're coming together.. I'm pretty pleased so far! I think I'll be able to fit a 4th channel in this box and maybe, possibly a 5th channel. I imagine that most people won't need to go there though.

Haha retractable cables would be awesome but a broken cable nightmare! No those are adapters so people can use our standard extension cables with the VVPS (they come with a set as well).

Damn dude that doesn't sound fun at all and I feel your pain. Full disclosure and some more potential bad news though.. I've been out of college for 20 years and people still think I'm an idiot so just a heads up that ship may never sail. :brow:

Yes, videos please when you have the time and feel like it. We don't want your experimentation to turn into a chore, it's supposed to be fun so no pressure!

Get on it then, slacker.

Dude that financially forced t-break thing sounds lame. Make your way to the west coast and I'm sure one of us (or all of us) out here would be happy to help you with that problem.
