It's the same one I got! Here it is...

Oh yeah! That's some serious cloud :D thanks for sharing!
What kinda bubbler is that? :)

Edit: Woooohooooo! Got my tubo dialed in and matched my coil resistance to my liking aka'more subjective ideal temp'.

Mine came with 0.184 ohms standard preset (see inside the battery door for yours) and I felt like it was running too cool. Not that it would not pump out that shit like crazy, but it started a bit on the high side. Went until 235C - never done that before. But it was a bit too light color for that temp I'd say (based on my experience with other mostly convection vapes ). So I changed the coil resistance slightly in the menu (piece of cake, really. Should not scare one off, it's not even 1 page of manual and you can't screw it up by clicking something stupid.) 3 notches, well, first 2 steps up, then another 2, then 1 step back - after having a session on new settings - and now I have the perfect temps got my likings @ .187. Yeah it really is a 187 now!;):D Did these sessions dry only and with a pretty constant draw. the longer the session went, the more I slightly increased draw speed. (I kept it below to causing that whistling when horsing thru the load)

Well, this is what my ideal 220C looks like. Temp stepped from 180C, 195, 205, 215, 220. And guys, it was unbelievable: from 195 on each step I stirred and it pumped out new pretty delicious vapor - NO charring, maintaining a great flavor experience throughout the session. Higher temp flavor hits I've never experienced before. No shit. perfect. I had enough - way more than I had wanted (but it was fun and you know.. :D) so I stopped. Guess 2-3 wispier 20 sec draws @220C were still doable..

This is what my Milaana could do, if I was a robot and could perfectly coordinate and steer the processes to temp step with such a precision and fail safety... The tubo is really opening that precise temp step door I ever wished for since my Arizer Air back in the beginning. It's a damn fine vaporizer, it really is. Too happy!:D

I want to get to this level of extraction as well and I will be increasing the resistance on mine. Thanks for your feedback @vapen00b.

Ended up increasing my similar to yours. Easy peasy. Now I think I will be where I want to be with Tubo.

Great man, hope it helps! :)

Important additional info I forgot to mention:
I only use the basket screen so that the load sits in the basket itself (micro dose)- not trapped inside the male joint. Results will vary slightly, if your load sits further away (in the joint).

Really fantastic like this.

Also nice: put hemp fiber in the male joint to stop particles from getting thru. It already looks golden :)

Enjoy your play!

Sure enough, fixed me right up. I went 3 notches up and it was a better exp. for me, could even probably go up some more. I could also visibly see the coils getting hot. I don't think I noticed the coils getting that color when I first turned on my unit. Mine was set at .181 out of the box.

Thanks for the tips above @vapen00b

I have not been using this basket method you mentioned, but I will be trying it very soon ;)

I didn't realize this is the best way to "microdose" on the Tubo. Now I know. Thank you.

I look forward to tinkering and finding out what works best for me.

hello,

yes, i think you guys are correct with the temperature being high compared to reality and other devices. my temp sensors say thats correct tho, so either they lie and are off set or other manufacturers have trouble telling exact temps too. however yes, feel free to increase your resistance by about 0.002 or a bit more and try again. comparing resistances between devices will however not work as they vary from heater to heater.
i will calibrate a bit hotter for the new tubos.

you should see the coils slightly glowing at max setting in the dark. at vape temps they shouldnt be glowing, maybe at extreme draw rate.

nice vid @stickstones!

thanks @vapen00b for the post, this can be helpful for many i guess.

some new ones, some left already

very cool combos!

they still need to be updated and calibrated but expect to hear from me soon, if you see your unit in the pic.

and here is the manual: http://i.imgur.com/rT843S3.png

i also prepared this, concerning batteries:
CZHr7lF.png

will be added to packages as well. if too weak batteries are used the evic will report low battery very fast or even immediatly.
and here is the manual: http://i.imgur.com/rT843S3.png

Nice! Like that turquoise one a lot... And that dark blue with orange. And..some more! :D

About the batts: HG2s are very nice with this. HE2/4s do the job too - but will drain faster due to smaller capacity. If you got the latter, be sure to have some fully loaded spares at hand to extend your sessions.

Please check your manual file. It looks like there's an alpha channel to it? Looks pretty dark mainly..? Or is it just my device..?

Hoping to hear more people in here soon. :)

oooh i just checked the pic with suitable batteries again and got a minor heart attack....
please DO NOT USE THE RED PANASONIC (10A) in the tubo, i dont know how it got into that picture.

they wont blow up or anything, but they wont work. tubo will likely tell battery low from the start. i will update the pic soon.

Well, the day I've been waiting for this past week is here.....my invoice has arrived, and is now paid, so my Tubo should be here within a week or so. I've been loving my MVT, but I'm looking forward to trying this thing. Based on what the Tubo users on here are reporting, I think I'm gonna like it a lot.

I'd like to build a collection of wood vapes (next will likely be @Dan Morrison's upcoming design). There's just a cool-factor about something that is conceived and manufactured in a crafstman's shop, when it's done well. I believe the Tubo, though it involves a factory mod, meets the criteria for me, as that's just a smart method of economically adding digital control to a vape that appears to tick all the other boxes.

EDIT: I just saw your post, @Shit Snacks. I guess we'll be comparing notes soon.

I hate to say this but I think that it's time to move this to the portable section. Mine hasn't come yet but any day- hopefully.

Funky is choosing to stay in the upcoming section to limit demand etc. Not quite ready for the big leagues yet, though the product is complete, available, and shipping ofcourse
