Dark oil - ABV extract

How does butane extraction work on vaped weed though? I usually vape mine until it's dark brown, I would have assumed that most of the THC would have evaporated off of it. I was always under the impression that butane disolves THC only, is this not the case? Does it also extract CBD's, THCV, CBG etc...?

It will extract all known cannabinoids left in the plant if the conditions are right (temp, time, etc.). Go for it. The oil will be darker than normal if you've done BHO, butter or other butane extractions with fresh plant material.

In fact, your ABV (especially if dark brown) will likely contain mostly CBD in ratio to THC. My ABV oils put me right to sleep. Thats kind of the point of ABV concentrates and edibles in my case (and plenty of others here on FC). Nightime medication

Should I put my ABV oil In the freezer or just let it live freely on my dresser?

If you're just holding onto it for a little while the freezers shouldn't be necessary, but if you want to hold onto it more than a couple of weeks that'd be an option. Ive noticed oil loosing some potency in its second and third week, but I cannot speak to how helpful the freezers would be in preventing this. I keep mine in an airtight jar, which I keep on top of my desk.

Oh, and if you're worried about degradation, my best advice would be to keep it out of sunlight. Generally speaking, you want to keep it In Something amber colored or totally dark, because blue spectrum Uv is the most detrimental to your errl.

I've changed to tossing my ABV in my compost pile or flower pot earth.... For myself, after trying a few times doing extractions with it, I just couldn't be bothered for the effort considering the poor return, time involved, and tainted tasting (to ME) end result concentrate.

I completely realize where necessity is required and can relate to 'those times', but I've found myself blessed in the past and currently to not often fall into that situation.

True that my ABV Oil doesn't pack a punch in the cerebral zone, but talk about getting elevated when a little fresh herb is added.
I''ll say from my experience the Dottle (ABV) is Better off in brownies or other methods. I can't get past the week old grass taste. It's almost like old hay, although my dottle was definitely USED up pretty good

I used to just toss it. But I was this thinking, if I were to ever make my own oil (I don't because it is criminal for me to do so), it may come out as shatter. If so, a little bit of dark oil in the mix may prevent t violent sharding when scraping. Idk about you, but ive broken a chunk of shatta and had it fly into my eye, shit is terrible.
