Art Carney's father had OCD which is how the Ed Norton character in the Honeymooners got a lot of his mannerisms that would break Ralph's patience. Just found out that a while ago.

I didn't know this factually at first, but I had a certain affinity and familiarity with this character and would imagine his handling different tasks that had to be done at my different jobs. And the comic results with the boss getting loud like Ralphie boy.

Then I thought about my OCD tendencies. :whoa: And the Ed Norton mannerisms :lmao: and smiled at my self a little. :D

@Enchantre - think you will recognize the glint in the eyes of fellow artists, the joy. Keep manifesting and healing!

Perry, the filmmaker and one of the artists was a H.S. friend, and he chose Robin's music for the background -- my first unrequited love. We combusted and drank and laughed together way back when. Just saw Robin at 40th H.S. reunion, still singing and looking lovely. Random.

No surprise there are creative types here. :)

I did learn how to draw from life and the early version of this book. edwards-the-new-drawing-on-the-right-side-of-the-brain-viny.pdf

It helped me to unlearn a lot and develop a greater understanding of visual perception and that carried over into OH SO MANY THINGS. Like one of those 'great veil had been lifted' moments. :whoa:

To draw in Chiaroscuro without the mental shortcuts we rely on to 'see' things. The eye being a flat camera and trying to not perceive or filter. Whatever light is entered through the eye almost directly passes to the hand to a well trained 'classicaly trained' art student/artist/teacher AND most importantly to seekers like me. @Enchantre Thanks for the random 'riff'? about how you might be an energy conduit. :borg:If I'm on the same level of conversation with you.:hmm: We are talking very abstractly and perhaps internal. So the words get in the way when trying to explain the phenom. I'm a Jedi ;)and still trying to fashion a language for a lot of abstract concepts. For clarity's sake. :D

I do have another curiosity of the life structure of different artists. The whole range. Some are gregarious and self promoting while others are reclusive or need to be found to be appreciated. Some can capture the energy of a moment and all the detail. While others are brilliant and can create almost entirely abstract images and languages and interpretations. Some get credit for a few ideas with only a few pieces or examples, while others are prolific and seem driven by there artist energies. And all the examples in the range in between.:2c:

Wha? No random thought? Thought there would be a flood of random after all the art related posts.:science: Anyhoo....:sherlock:

How many of you used those store bought prepared 'taco shells' at home? Perhaps before you knew what traditional tortillas were meant to be. Or hey maybe you like a crispy shell and not giving that up. :p

Did you snap the corner at the end or found a shell that works out of the pack or perhaps you did a 2 ply shell in case the outer gives up. Do you eat over your plate and make a 'reincarnated' taco with another shell and what fell on the plate?

I will not eat corn chips or tortillas or anything like that because most corn is GMO, Roundup ready, and drenched with glyphosate.
Yea, I don't either. Still eat corn chips and any funky chips that are GF from the Co-op, but yea gave up those crispy shells after trying the first hand made, then pressed tortillas that were made to hold the good stuff. But Corn is the earliest plant to be cross bred. We should be eating crops that are more soil enriching, like hemp. :haw: Less soil depleting crops like tobacco and corn. Get more of the benefits of bio-diverse friendly crops. But hey as a kid, I've eaten my weight of corn shells with the packets of chili or hot dog seasoned taco meat with just the right amount of MSG.:uhh: I turned out fi...., uhh never mind. point taken.:D

So glad I can cook for myself now. Get the dry ingredients and a little cooking know-how and work with fresh ingredients that still have the vitality in them.

Sriracha, I have no self control with that. It goes on everything and then then I sweat out the demons. Yea, love hot food.

With corn you have to watch out for bt-toxin as well. I always buy organic chips, but last time they were out and I wanted to try these jalapeño chips that had 'cheese' too, I won't be doing that again.

For me to avoid glyphosate the big ones to eat organic are wheat and sugar, because of the unique way they use it to increase harvest yields. Processed food needs to be organic to have any chance of being nutritious, although for example newman's cookies just use organic wheat & sugar (but the chocolate chips aren't organic so there's still glyphosate in the sugar). For produce I look at what items carry the highest toxic load, and for those items I try to buy organic or grow it myself. It's an ongoing struggle!

Not sure what happened, but just starting the program has shifted something HUGE for me.

Don't bother TRYING to wrap your mind around things, @CuckFumbustion ,that just turns them into concepts. Just enjoy the ride!

I sing and dance, and change the words to songs. If you follow me on IG or FB, you'd be blasted with random weird silliness at random intervals!

Remember, considering yourself "lucky" is STILL victim mentality! ;)

Ah the concept of being "in the moment." Living in the here and now. Perhaps expressing the internal.
random weird silliness

Enjoy the ride? I have said that I am a passenger of life. Explain it to them again for me would you, Iggy?

Will check out your sites at some point and turn of the critical, analytical, thinking left side of my brain and "Just enjoy the ride". Achieved through the transformative power of vapor of course. ;)

I'm GF and found Newman's awkward descriptions for a few of his other foods to be off putting. As far as our on going struggle, There is more of a farm to table movement where I'm at with local restaurants and more farms in our area are reaching out to restaurants and co-ops for delivery of single products like farm fresh eggs and dairy delivered. If true demand dictates what these farmers sell, then perhaps things will come full circle and there will be a return of the local milkman. :D

...perhaps things will come full circle and there will be a return of the local milkman.
That would be very nice. I would prefer my deliveries to be of ovine rather than bovine dairy products, raw rather than pasteurized, organic if possible, and of course rbgh-free. And more than just raw milk, I would also like some yogurt and at least soft cheese. Ice cream would be a bonus for sure. Not to be a pain.

The biggest hindrance is delivery costs and cancelled orders. But if there was a big enough of a regular demand and logistics, etc. There is a distributor that deals with local and regional product.:hmm: Locally made tofu and cheeses where I'm at also.
I have had the local yogurt here and it is amazingly good compared to even the state regionally shipped yogurt. Not Greek yogurt technically, but farm fresh firm. It has that thick creme settled on top and none of it taste like culture either. Plain yogurt that you can stir and eat.

Will see if local ovine is an option. There is certain raw products, but odd laws to work around. Like trying to get raw cider at an Apple festival. :ko: I don't imbibe myself, but would cook with hard cider. Real cider from raw done right is 'liquid dope.' and is close to a cannabis buzz that alcohol will allow. :2c:

We used to make that in a four-michelin star restaurant by the five-gallon bucket

We can also add xo cognac, absinthe, jägermeister, and of course aged mescal to that list.

My random thought involves relationships. People and their desire/need to be in a relationship is strange to me and the lengths they will go to preserve it while simultaneously not really respecting it is also strange to me. I'm someone who really enjoys their "me" time so I can't really empathize with always needing someone - but if you value that companionship I don't understand the relationship "white lies" - shouldn't a good relationship be built on not having to lie about things?

My buddies (3/4 in committed relationships) all really wanted to go out and "play blackjack" Friday night despite it being really the only thing they were all told not to do lol - their relationships are all relatively serious and their GF's would be pissed to know they went to "play blackjack" - yet of everyone, it was a person in a relationship really pushing for us to go "play blackjack" and the other two caved. No skin off me and my other buddies bones as we don't need to hide "playing blackjack" from anyone. I love my friends they are good people for most part, and I'm not going to chastise/lecture them about respecting the sanctity of their relationships - but if they truly cared, we wouldn't have went to go "play blackjack" , right? Now I have to keep lying about something relatively innocuous and to be honest I'm not a great liar and keep cracking up when talking about how much we lost "playing blackjack"

Are there , were there any civilizations not based on cruelty and exploitation?

No I don't think so - desire to be the alpha, run the pack, rule the coop, etc is natures nature. Which comes with cruelty and exploitation of the rest in a sense.

Even if we had 10 people thrown together arbitrarily they may initially start democratic but over time there will be some sort of power struggle for one to be the best - cheesy as it sounds reality tv like Survivor and Big Brother is a pretty good microcosm of human nature - granted they have a literal prize to be the best but in our arbitrary society rather than $ maybe you get more food, sex, relaxation, etc to "be the best" - those shows rely on humans exploiting other humans just like every civ relied on it too

Is this code for "freebasing" or something?

:science:

 I forgot to mention that despite the effort spent ironing this out, it all almost shit the bed pretty quickly.

Friend A got added on social media by a "blackjack dealer" and she posted about how much fun she had on his wall lol....luckily he woke up for some reason at like 8-9 (we left at 6..) in morning and managed to delete it and tell her she can't do that LOL
