CCA Liger banger V3.0

I definitely am okay with waiting the specified time. The issue is that I am way past the specified lead time and it's radio silence on CCA's end. At this point even if I were to cancel or chargeback through my credit card, I wouldn't get the shipping cost I paid to send him back the order he mistakenly sent to me.

I just want to know what is going on. Don't get me wrong. I love supporting small businesses and the little guy. At a certain point though, I do expect some level of communication/service. I hope my situation is an outlier here.
Then you should email Josh. He is quite quite busy so last I heard he only replies to emails on 1 day a week :(

Hi,
He has rejected majority of the last 2 batches of SiC from his Sic supplier. So if you are waiting for an order I am willing to bet a SiC insert is part of it. He has already hired another company to create these but before they can start fabrication they have to create all of the machining tools specifically to produce each insert. Once the tools are created production can begin with the new manufacturer. Until then he keep getting batches from source 1 and sending 90-95% back because Josh finds the finish unacceptable.
Depending on how long source 2 takes for SiC something will be figured out but rest assured he is working to get you a quality product. Sorry for the continued SiC wait times.

I typically get this rusty looking buildup in about 2 days after cleaning. I would typically have dabbed .5-.7g in this time. I really wish that this intake was shorter, as it is more difficult to clean than the midsection of my slim series bases on my halos because it is almost twice the length.

I have had mine get pretty crusty, enough to cause air flow problems lol.
V2 had a bit shorter air intake. I get varying amounts of build up I guess with different product. If I dab rosin it gets crusty pretty quickly and needs to be reamed but it's a quick process with the right tool, I would try a coat hanger or just a dab tool. When I am dabbing Co2 there is almost no buildup, only a little golden honey reclaim in the drop down. BHO falls somewhere in the middle, it does build up but it takes a while.

The air intakes can get gunked up with some hard crusty stuff after a few dozen grams for sure.

More internal surface area = more reclaim.

My order is still outstanding and I ordered quartz only. I'm planning on making another order when his sic supply issues are figured out.

Hello again forum. This has become a religious routine for me on this site.

@inspirose i assure you, you are not alone. My story is a little of both. I did order SiC so @mrbonsai420 is right and I understand josh wants best. I'm fine with that and thank you. I am also past the eta as told from site and even what josh emailed me directly an eta and still nothing. Anyone who wants to see emails let me know.

For customers like @damm and @inspirose sucks we were wrong time wrong moment so we all have to wait. My emails will alarm any customer for I placed for SiC. Two weeks into order josh posts back up order on inserts and Says bundle if u want quartz because earlier shipment than SiC. STUPID me emails josh direct saying bundle bundle. Take my money take it. Kindly he sends a 50 percent off on quartz as I was ready to pay and credit card in my hand. Along second transaction josh mentions order will be ready "hopefully shipment from usps doesnt delay" eta end of week. I understand I do. I have no problem giving money for something I love.

Summary I am getting to the month mark since my order was placed and the same to me as everyone.... silence from JOSH. Not one email for days... Fast to email for money and poor for customer service.

At this point my payment has been made and don't have time to refresh my emails every hour to see if he is gonna reply. My advice to not think about it time will fly and hope Josh is okay and working hard on making it perfect for his present and future customers. I have read many good things so I am willing to wait.

Thank you.

I feel your pain; i'm still waiting for the 30mm flat SiC Insert that I ordered back in November. He shipped me a 20mm in error so I shipped it back and ... so I recently ordered another Quartz insert .. It's been only 2 weeks and these are items that should be in supply so shouldn't take him too long to get it out.

However I got my flat banger in a pretty fast turn around time; so I am not too worried.

Q-Tipping alone isn't enough. I follow the pattern of using water and 91% alcohol at 215f to clean up my Quartz insert when I am done. Gets a pretty good job

Once the 14/18mm adapter starts to drip reclaim is my hint to clean it up; after a day or so the air pathway is reduced and it's pretty hard to enjoy

I was talking about the Ti parts and I mentioned soaking in iso before q-tipping. I dab fairly light compared to others, however, so twice a week with my method is adequate while I can see how a lot more input would change this.

Also, someone else has mentioned this but you can get the inserts quite clean with room temperature water and q-tipping. Obviously this may not be enough after long heavy use but works well when kept up regularly.

I use DarkCrystal Clear to clean all my inserts and Ti parts, gets everything looking brand new again and does a much better job than ISO alone. I gawked at the price at first but you can reuse it to make it last longer. I just use a small sealed plastic container and swirl it around to get some agitation and let it it for a couple hours depending how dirty it is.

I can only imagine how frustrated Josh @CCA710 is with these manufacturing problems and I'm sure he is eager to switch to his new SIC supplier.

I am hoping he will drop by again soon and provide another update. Most of the info he provided gave dates of 1-2 weeks out (with the exception of the new SIC supplier), and since 2 weeks have passed now another update would be appreciated.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I bought a Chad Boro TerpTrunk from the Dab Lab for my 30mm Liger and it is a COMPLETE GAME CHANGER!! I had no idea what i was missing till now. If you want a proper carb cap to work with your Liger get a Terp Trunk! Josh should start carrying these. It's the perfect cap for the Liger allowing it to function the way i believe it was designed to. Anyone with one here will back my findings i have no doubt. I'm between 485-500 on my DNAIL controller and that'll probably drop if i get a HexNail. I've never gotten this much flavor and this many hits with my Liger and Stormcell or Hurricane cap. I could never rotate either of those caps because they would always pop up on one side or another when I'd spin the cap flooding my dab with cool air ruining the hit. I also couldn't see in the bucket with those caps. With the Terp Trunk I can see inside the bucket and see the dab move around the Sapphire as i move the cap. Definitely worth the money. I'll be ordering a couple of knockoffs i found in China to see if they are similar in quality. Im concerned they won't be perfectly flat to create a proper seal.

Just ordered one. $52.50 shipped with code GOGREEN at Dab Lab right now for anybody else interested.

Have fun with it! I've seen they also have UV ones. Do they make GITD terp trunks too?

Love GITD!!

Pressurized steam and ultrasonic cleaners will make cleaning this part much easier still.

I have an ultrasonic that I use to remove carbon from other titanium parts. Does throwing the banger in it totally clean it? I don't want to try until I know - be a waste of solution.

I can also attest that the the Chad Bro Terp Trunk works great on the 30mm. Nice tight air flow and you get to see the action (if you keep it cleaned). It can slide around some if you let go to set your tool down or something, so don't tilt your rig too much.

I originally bought one from The Dab Lab and broke it a day later. I missed it enough that I picked up another from Witchdr, which was only $50 and had fast free shipping.

I love my Storm Cells too, I was just wanting to try a new dab toy for my b-day and it also worked great.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know a few things. On a good note I can see your orders and let you know the status pretty easily. Unfortunately that status on SiC is not improved. But Quartz is due in today and that means functional ligers to current orders at least! As you all know we are moving SiC suppliers and the new ones do not have a definitive date so Josh felt like he should offer an immediate solution to those people waiting.

Let me start off by saying that dabbing off of quartz is pretty great too so don't be upset if you decide to go with Quartz. I have several people in my circle who use Ligers with Quartz or Quartz bangers. Many, like my sister prefer quartz to Sic for flavor although SiC has better thermal properties IMO. Sapphire is better than both but not a must have for most people and is much more fragile than either.

We are sincerely sorry and regret to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to fulfill your order and ship you a SiC insert. The recent batches of SiC received from our supplier's were not to the standards of CCA quality. CCA has been so very successful due to your undying loyalty and our unwavering commitment to offering only the very highest quality products. I will not compromise on our standards and ship inferior product to our customers.

Due to this I have had to make the tough decision to temporarily discontinue SiC inserts. All Flat Coil & 20mm SiC are currently not available and 16mm SiC will be available until all current stock is sold.

That being said, we have good news! I have been working with some amazing engineering teams and I am very excited & pleased to announce we are in the process of developing a new proprietary blended ceramic that is superior to SiC in almost every way! This new material has been specifically designed for our application and will be yet another stepping stone in the quest to find the ultimate vaporization system! It is in the final testing phase now, and we will be moving forward with production this month. Look for it to be publicly released in June-July.

"All of this is great, but I've been waiting for my SiC for a LONG time! How are you going to make it up to me??"

We understand where you stand and we are more than willing to offer you a private discount to make up for the annoying wait. I have worked out 3 options and am more than happy to grant whichever may be most convenient for you:

Option 1: Full refund for the SiC insert; +$15 CCA credit

Option 2: 50% off a Quartz insert (approx: $30-$35); and I'll refund you the difference (approx: $35-$40)

Option 3: 50% off a Sapphire insert ($162.38)

Please let me know which route will work best for you and I'll make it happen!

@mrbonsai420 Thank you for posting this very through update. Is there any special process for getting your order update with Josh besides the regular email address from their website?

For instance I asked if I could step down to the 16mm w/ SIC via email a few days back. I'm flexible and can go with a different combination if he wants me to stay at 20mm, but I originally wanted a 16mm until the forum changed my mind.

I'm not complaining about not getting a fast reply, I do understand the guy is way over tasked. That said, it does seem to take a while to communicate any updates to your order with @CCA710 . Is it best to just hold out and wait? Or should I be contacting him another way for this? Honestly curious if I'm doing this wrong.

I just ordered a Terp Trunk to try out based on the feedback here, looking forward to trying it out on my 30mm.

Yes omg saver. @mrbonsai420.
Goodmorning. My order number 1366. Please review a month ago since order. I have already done option two with Josh. I ordered SiC originally and then he offered me second insert quartz fithty off. I have made the payment already. Please let me know confirmation and maybe eta. This is exciting news. Thank you again @mrbonsai420.

Dm or email me if you can. Call me for anything I am free. I ordered and everything should be paid. Thank you.

Little bit of trails/pooling with the Storm Cell, but just got a pretty good first dab off my new Liger! 20mm with the sapphire insert. I had already adjusted the coil to fit the banger and tightened it up a bit and was able to take a REALLY flavorful, smooth dab of some Animal Crookies shatter at 580 degrees!

So thankful to Josh at CCA710 for this banger. Insane.

Also thankful to everybody on this thread, how to tighten the parts, how to adjust coil to fit, which side goes up on the coil, all that stuff...never would have known how to do all of it, or that I had to, without this thread.

Thanks @mrbonsai420. As you may remember, I bought my 20 mm SiC 2.0 not long before the 3.0 came out. I have been thinking about a second rig (have the controller, coils, and glass already) and I have been following this thread since inception.

To tell you the truth, I would wish that Josh was still selling the 2.0. I have had no problems with this unit. The SiC insert fits perfectly and works perfectly and I don't see any real advantage to me by getting a 3.0 (with SiC not available still) just to have a shroud around my coil which seems to be the main functional difference.

I, for one, actually like the 2.0 universal joint fitting and if I could order another 2.0 with SiC, I would.

I hope Josh gets all of this 3.0 stuff settled and its the best product out there....but right now, I don't think I want to buy one.

I wish I would have started here before ordering. There was a problem with my order as I ordered a flat coil with attachments and didn't realize it only charged for the flat coil..too many dabs. I have tried to reach out through 4 emails and Facebook with not one reply. I understand shit happens but you don't leave people hanging at least one reply with what's going would be nice. I know they offer superior quality products but with customer service like this I don't think I could support a business like this. If anyone has a better way to reach out and get an answer please let me know. Thanks
