Yeah, I know. I remember when Dylan first went electric and the big bruh ha ha over that. People thought it was sacrilegious.

Wow. this thread is eye opening. After some time of trafficking through the site and spreading/learning information, it was evident that I was speaking to mature people who really know what they are talking about. I enjoy the passion/seriousness of the community which attracted me to become a part of it. Although I must admit, I'm probably one of the youngest people on here. Only being 18, I still love partaking in intellectual discussions while learning more about a topic that I truly enjoy. Yeah, many of you may think I'm just another ignorant teenager but I'm one of the only kids in my group of friends that seriously looks into these things and wants to learn more about protecting my health while having a good time. Respect to all of you wiser members on the forums and I look forward to learning even more through my time spent on this great site.

OMG. A well written and constructed post from a 18 year old. Now THAT'S an anomaly.

Well done, HS, well done.

I mostly think of him as Ignatowski. He always made you laugh when he was in a scene on that show, and the lines they gave him were perfect for his character.

What's Going On?
I'm on the younger side with HighSti up there a few posts. I'm 18, graduating high school this year and so on. I have to admit, I feel a little left out on some of the discussion points, but it's nice to share this community. I am definitely glad to obtain said wisdom from the elders. I find myself having to agree with basically all of HighSti's post that my friends are oblivious to their health, they broke a cig accidently, and just decided to smoke it without the filter, (just one example of their genius at work.) Personally, my lungs hurt for them as I dislike cigs fairly passionately.

That, is my exact opinion on this site.

8 months here until my 21st birthday and let me tell you how I'm going to spend it: high with nary a drop of alcohol in me. Or a puff of combustion for that matter :D Its times like this I wish the forum supported polls or the like so we could see the array of ages we're presented with.

im 21 physically but my mind has atrophied to that of an 87 year old
Hey man, I've known some extremely sharp 87+ year olds. If you're stopping there I'd say you're more atrophied then you thought  (Take a gerontology course or two then see what your elders are capable of)

Honestly I think it would be cool to smoke with some adults, kids and kids and will do kids things, adults I feel are more serious about their high and use it to their advantages with work and stuff. That's my opinion though :).
I feel the exact same way Konrad_Zuse. I always enjoyed getting high with my friend's parents as a teen, and just listening to their stories of "back in the day". Those with experience have so much to offer, most of which is enjoyed immensely (by me) when high.

I think the eduction level of vaporists would be an interesting item. Most seem well spoken and have a reasonable mind, health conscience, environmental, just a bit better grade than the average stoner. :2c:
This is the only forum I've been able to lurk and post on, without getting upset about flames erupting everywhere and leaving sick of it. I think everyone's general mentality and communal spirit works with that, as well as an open and reasonable mind, with health consciousness. I am very grateful for these opportunities :D.

There is only one thing that I dislike about being my age. I no longer have the metabolism I once had. I can no longer eat whatever I want. Sucks to get all vaped out and get the Munchies. I hate being high and trying to watch what I eat. I remember when I could sit down and destroy an 18 inch pizza.
I am painfully aware this moment is reaching me slowly but surely. Use to be I could get high, make some wack BLT, throw down 2 pizzas and wake up none for the worse. Now I avoid bacon at all costs, never consume a whole pizza within 3 hours of bed, and usually have to have tums around for my munchies :( I'm slowly absorbing new eating patterns, but its very difficult when high.

63 here. Zaplady will be 66 in a month.
Old enough to know we need to make eating a chore( like oatmeal) and not fun. Too much fun eating makes belly too big.
I've been eating oatmeal every morning since I was 3 and love the stuff. Wish it qualified as a house-chore back then :p

The fact that the conversation seems to have drifted off topic and now seems to be connected to bowel movements seems enough proof of the average age here.
Ha ha ha, this is too true and too funny. Good observation Happycamper.

I find myself in that position too, but my friend's ages span from 17-40. Pretty much all of them are equally reckless (when it comes to drugs at least...) :p

I knew there had to be a thread like this. It confirms my suspicions that there are a lot of posters in my age bracket.

I took my first toke in 1969, after a lot of research. I was attending university, and there were all sorts of drugs freely available. I could see from my friends that speed was nasty and acid was scary, but I wanted to get high too. I still smoked cigarettes at the time and everything I read indicated that pot wasn't even as harmful as tobacco, so that became my choice. The book that finally convinced me to try it was "A Child's Garden of Grass" by Jack S. Margolis and Richard Clorfene. I still have my copy. Anyone else remember it?

I just wish I'd had a vaporizer back then.

I'm not as ol... "wise" as some of you. I'm 25.

I love the average age on the board though. This is a great community with many well-educated members. There is really good information in these forums.

I won't name names, but some of the other pot culture boards around are full of kids, especially in the summer months. It's refreshing to be able to have an intelligent conversation with some older stoners. :peace:
