How often do you shower / bath your body?

I am guessing you are single and don't get out much? Writing from inside an institution perhaps? :mental:
If you sit in a couch most of the day and don't do much you can easily get away with 4 days between showers, especially in the winter or if you are a vegan and you don't add too much spice in the food... Single as well!

In the summer it's one or two showers a day for me. In the winter between 1-5 per week if alone or every day if a girl is around... :p In the winter I also don't wash my hair more than one or two times a week.
Frequent showering with hot water and soap is not too healthy for the skin. It dries it out and you need to moisturise. Especially not healthy for the head as you can't moisturise it. Have you heard of dry scalp and dundruf? Frequent hot showers and soap also strip most of the healthy bacterial life off the skin, weakening the immune system and making us get sick easier.
There is also a whole movement called poo-less. No shampoo for the head. Some report amazing results. I have tried with short hair and it feels amazing. With long hair it was a nightmare... :ko:

I run every other day so...........I shower and wash my hair after my run every other day.

@natural farmer has it exactly right. Washing your body and hair every day is not good for your body or hair. From a health standpoint, it's just not a good thing to do.

Here's another question kinda on the same topic and that is..........when do you take a shower, morning when you get up or at night before you go to bed? For me, I shower at night mainly because I run in the early evening. If I ran in the morning, I'd be showering in the morning.

I bathe daily. Usually a quick shower after starting my coffee in the morning and another in the evening.

Right now there are a couple people living in the same household who do the "bathe every two weeks or so whether they need it or not thing" and they Fucking Reek. They also have a magic hamper for their clothes so they can wear the same things for a few days, put 'em in the hamper and later in the week they're ready to wear again for a few days. It's just some flat out disgusting low life shit if you ask me.

I mean maybe it matters where you live but we're in the fucking swamp in Florida where even this morning after driving home from some daily medical stuffs I was soaked with sweat (ac doesn't work) and it ain't really even Hot and humid here yet.

It's pretty sad when the people around you smell worse than your dog does when wet.

I have a few different cleansing rituals. If nothing else, I'll have a quick shower in the morning. If I have lots of time I have a soak in the tub with some combination of magnesium chloride, epsom salts and baking soda. I bring a good book, get in hot and stay in till the water's getting cool. The other option is a nice 45 minute sauna followed by a quick shower.

When I worked I used to shower in the morning and then have a sauna or soak in the tub in the evening before bed. Now everything happens in the morning.

Usually 1-2x a day, but occasionally 3x, depending on physical activity and heat.

I never go a day without showering, and it's always the first thing I do after getting out of bed. I don't feel awake or clean until my shower and hygiene routine is complete.

You won't catch me outside without having showered. How bout dah?

Yearly...whether I need it or not...and remember you get four changes out of each pair of underpants. .. forwards, backwards, inside-out forwards, inside-out backwards. You're welcome.

Actually, there are five ways as you forgot "commando" ;)
When your boys run free.....

I found that showering frequency also depends on the type of sweat. If you exercise regularly, that sweat is good sweat and odor free. When I was working a stressful job, that stress sweat was very different--smelly and bad sweat.

I need a shower when I wake up to get going at a minimum & will frequently stand under the water spacing out & waking up properly before I can even think about washing. I can't remember the last time I did not have at least one shower per day.

I have been known to get extremely stoned (the kind where you are staggering about & incoherent) & sit in my shower under the water for 45 minutes wrecked & loving it. Even better is a big hot bath where you let only a trickle of water out & replace it by having the shower blasting hot water over you in the bath.

It depends how much I'm working and what I'm doing. I always shower before I go out to something social. On my own time if it's the hot months then I shower 1-2X a day; but as mentioned by @natural farmer I try not to shampoo or soap too much to avoid overly drying out my scalp and skin. If I give myself a good scrub the night after a hot day of work then the next morning "shower" is just a ritual quick rinse to wake me up.

If it's winter then I shower every second day; Monday, Wed, Fri. I play the weekend by ear depending on my activities. If I'm at home working or doing chores I might not shower Sat or Sun; live in a rural area so no one is going to come by and complain.

The days I don't shower I give myself a pat down with a washcloth though, just kind of wipe away any of that odor/deodorant build up. I change my underwear and socks every day; sometimes 2x a day if you count changing into home clothes after work. Oh and I brush and floss at least once every day:D! Yeah I know dentists say after every meal or whatever but I'm forgetful.. I try at least .

My girlfriend has complained of "stress sweat" which apparently reeks, but I don't stress too often, or sweat very often for that matter.
When I was younger (20s) I would wear clothes a few days and like live out of a hamper, as someone mentioned housemates of theirs doing. These days, I will wear jeans twice and that is it. Every thing else is once and inside out in laundry basket.

When I first began building my house out in the county, I had no plumbing. The well had not yet been drilled but my land was surrounded by a body of water.

I needed a way to wash myself. I bought an antique cast iron infant tub that mounted to a stand and placed it in a sheltered spot, out of the wind with a southern exposure. Every day I would fill gallon jugs with pond water and place them in the sun. Within an hour or so, that water would be somewhere between warm and scalding depending on the intensity of the Sun and wind that day.

I'd dump that hot water into that baby basin and have my bath. Washing consisted of a sort of whores bath. I'd strip down and take a sponge bath focussing on the pits, tits and slits.

It was strangely refreshing and satisfying standing out there buck naked in the forest with the sun shining down on me.

Then the well was drilled and later, modern plumbing was installed and everything changed.

Today that baby bath sits outside my back door. I still use it to clean up after a day in the garden or to wash freshly picked produce. Only now, it has a faucet.

Like most here I shower 1 to 2x a day depending on activity or if I'm going out for some socializing. Always put on clean fresh clothes after.
I always wanted an outside shower like what some hotels have on beaches. I don't really know why, seems kind of liberating I guess.
