I could tell

I just got my tracking number so I am hoping to join you and afroman up there shortly.

Any place you recommend purchasing extra basket screens from? I forgot to add them to my order.

Not sure.. RBT, DDave, Arizer EQ baskets..puffitup? There's several good options I think :)

@funkyjunky Hey Mister Vapemaker - how about that 20s heat protection feature that's active on mine... Is it safe to deactive - or should we stick to a certain number? Don't want to "overheat" anything - but I would assume, it should manage longer draws, right? :)

EDIT: And another question that might interest every other owner: How about letting the unit rest tilted.. like in my last pic. Would that be okay, if done regularly or for a longer period of time? Or could that loosen/dislocate the heater compartment over time? It does not look cheap or prone to that at all - rather pretty solid and snugly fitting so that might be just an overcautious pansy question... but I love this thing and it has to last! :)

Finishing off the rest of the first bowl (posted earlier:ko:).. topped it with some tiny fresh bits and straight to 200C. Gotta find out, if pre-heat is needed and all about draw speed and things... Not that you needed to. This thing works as @stickstones approved already ;) But I LIKE to play with that b-boy! :goon::whoa:

edit: 220C pressed out some nice clouds... choo choooo:science:

Edit Edit: Damn, this one at 220°C and huffing on it maintaining the Amps between 10-11... One good d20 hit. Geez, that vapor is so dense, it looks like it's some VG infused shit.:ko::ko: Very impressed! :o
Already loving this blocky b-boy brother.. It's got some serious power and is a stellar product with a cool guy behind the scenes.

they are actually eq (elbow?) screens. you can purchase screens sets for the extreme q at most headshops or online, its a pack tho with some screens you likely wont use, but still an easy option.

i am curious about all reports for different screens, like RBT screens or ELBs!

is 20 seconds not enough? i found it to be about perfect to quickly preheat and take a 15s draw or so.
you can always retrigger. dont worry it can handle the temps it produces. at some point of very high output and continued long draws the chip might get hot and the device will say "device too hot", there is protection for that in place. the cool down of the chip is rather fast.

so there is definitely a possibility for longer time-outs...the firmware can be updated at anytime rather easily.

about the unit resting tilted:
XlK75Hl.png

because my tubo is usually like this and i also really like how its looking leaning on the side. :D i think depending on if you use it through water or not its this way or the other.
dont worry about any position, its fitted in tight and held in by grooves on the inside of the wood!

Enjoying the tubo very much. Exclusively thru water for now..still not feeling too well to run it dry.

Two observations:

-none of my 4 18to14mm reducer make a tight connection with the tubo female, which I think must be ISO standard. Either the reducer are too short or too thin.. One piece is way longer but that one touches the base of the bowl..
Would love to try the tubo reduced w 14mm micro dose stuff.

-the OGB 18-18mm male adapter fits nicely - but if I don't tamp the load pretty much - and I'm saying I'm using the tubo upside down, so that it rests on the adapter from above (so no risk of material 'falling down') - it looks like it swirls around due to the shorter joint size (it does seal very well - but there's gotta be a small gap between rim of the joint and base of the bowl). I could see that almost every time I lift the tubo from the adapter: there's material on the rim all around.. Not only in the bowl. Not a major annoyance but I would like to fix that. This is only happening with said adapter.. Have to try out another I have. Just covers my theory of ISO size.

All of my stems do fit until now and I love this thing. So all good just some info. :)

P.S. No, it's not the 'blowback phenomenon' - I lift the tubo while finishing the draw.

heh, yeah i thought it sounded like blowback from the bubbler. actually i dont know what causes your spilling. not sure if enough air can enter through small gaps in the joint to really whirl stuff around. with the 18mm male2males i have with the basket screen its not a problem, things stay, maybe others can relate?

i dont think the joints need to be absolutely tight to work well. actually i think its better if they dont exactly mate because tight fitting glass joints can be a fucking bitch to get apart!!!

hmm, i see, the 18to14mm reducer needs to be long enough because of the wood shell. have to see if the ones i have fit.

good report, thanks! and the afroman is very great! forgot to say so.

aaand another piece of info that i always forget to post:
the little beech stirrer actually has a grade 2 titanium tip, you even can dab with it!

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
I know this is off track but what is bubbler blowback?

Airflow that forces back if you don't clear a bubbler (like if you lift the Tubo or other vape off the GonG and then stop inhaling instead of pulling the GonG out too, when the water falls back it will force air to blow back through the GonG and spill your herbs)

That is true. I guess I am being impatient. Just painful watching it work it's way through USPS tracking knowing any day now....
This may not help, but USPS/SwissPost tracking is not doing so well on my tubo. I've had it since last tuesday, the 21st, but tracking still shows it as "inbound out of customs".

So uh i guess I've had my tubo a week. I like it a whole lot.

I seem to have a bad case of VAS
Lol well last I checked it is still finished being processed at customs in New York. So I have that going for me. I'm assuming that means sometime this week it should be in my hands. Just have no idea what day exactly as it hasn't updated since the 25th. I think I will have to get into the picture battle with @vapen00b and @funkyjunky. Not sure my art skills are up to it, but I can only try.

If you're new to FC than be very careful what threads you read. VAS is an ailment associated with that. I speak as an addict and as someone who made the mistake of reading this thread.
The milaana is a great vaporizer. This seems to have some very different features from the milaana. I suspect that some of those who already have a tubic also have a milaana and can compare for you. I have given in to VAS and "need" both.

Hey man. Maybe a different tracking site will give you more insight? Try www.trackitonline.ru - might help you.

And yeah, join the battle. But choose my side for sure. I need reinforcements, I mean that guy got a tank!! :D ;)

@Alegre Honestly, you can't go wrong with either one. Fine people behind fine products all the way.
They're all different animals - but Milaana and MVT are rather similar being unregulated. This one s regulated.
MVT is the native micro dose king being 14mm but you have to wait for it... Around 100 ppl on the list as of now. Might easily take months to get one.. Price will increase soon too.
Milaana is 18mm and takes bigger loads, has more residual heat after heat up, but also manual and unregulated. it should be in stock at retailers so you could go for it.
The tubo is regulated, 18mm and there's also a waiting list... But I guess rather 15 ppl than 30. So waiting time shouldn't be several months.

To be honest, I love em all. But clearly only using the new toy recently. :)

What is MVT? There are so many new vapes coming out that it's hard to keep up and especially hard to keep up financially. Almost all the vape makers who've made vapes I really like are coming out with new products. And then there are ones like this that are made by new creators. And I just retired so I can't afford my addiction.
