What's everyones preferred temp when using the IQ or do you all favour the smart path pre set temp stepping? I have a pre owned IQ coming soon (next week infant) and I'm looking for a seasoned IQ vaper to chime in and give me a foot up.

A lot obviously depends on the user and there preference but before I even have the device in had I'm favouring the smart path 2 as a simple plug and play option but I'm keen to hear opinions from others. I'd probably not bother with the app, would be nice to have and use perhaps but doesn't seem a standout product overall, perhaps for the more techy among us.

For the record I'm a flavour lover above all else, I like cloud blowing too hence the idea I'd be more inclined to the SP2?

Still waiting on my Mighty RMA. Meanwhile...

Got the OEM 10mm -> 14mm glass adapter. Excellent accessory and highly recomended. It's a very straight forward connection, but one nice feature is that they include a small section of clear glass between the two frosted sections so that you can see how your vapor production is going. The connection between the zirconia and the glass feels quite good too.

The IQ with a water tool is excellent. I'm cranking it up to 395 to start the session and waiting about a minute after reaching target temp to hit it. I'm also using a slightly looser pack so that the draw isn't too restricted.

If you haven't added one of these to your kit, do it. Do it now.

Usually even if it's sold out it's still there, can't even find it
Last time the honey bird combos were sold out and the listing disappeared from the site until more were back in stock.

but you may be right, i was just trying to offer some insight from my own experience with ordering products from DV

Hey guys, I have been monitoring this thread for a long time. I thought i was lucky since i haven't had any issues with my IQ. But last week my bad luck started. While I was deep cleaning my IQ, i was trying to remove the zirconia ball from the little connector and the connector broke off of the plate and is lodged inside the zirconia ball. I have continued vaping by putting the ball on top of the load, but the taste seems to be a little off. The next thing that happened was the magnet near the mouth piece detached from its original location. Now every time i open the mouthpiece, the magnet sticks to where the battery is located and is quite annoying to re position it each time i open the top part of the IQ. Finally, today I noticed a crack in the oven. Ive tried calling and emailing CS to no avail for 2 weeks. I Pmed @Davinci_vaporizer last Thursday and received no response yet but I'm sure he will get back to me here as most people with issues have gotten a response on this forum. I really loved the IQ while it was all in one piece and I hope something can be done to fix my situation. I have attached an imgur link with pictures to better explain this scenario. Does anyone have any advice in regards to continuing using my vape and any other tips?

it SHOULD be safe to use...but you should get it replaced soon.

with the issue described, you should receive a new unit (since the bowl appears to have a non linear crack)

keep the ALL the accesories when you send it back when you get the green light

You could glue the magnet back on, but per the DaVinci rep you really should RMA the unit sooner than later because of the oven crack.
I have had luck with chat on the website during hours.
A lot of folks never mess with taking the pearl off the post for cleaning, only lightly cleaning in place.

Got you. Thanks for the info. Would you happen to know how long this RMA process would take?

There was some herb stuck to the ball and it was hard to clean it while it was attached to the little connector. I will keep this in mind next time i clean my IQ. It looks like I wont be able to use it until i get a new unit. Kinda bummed about this but hopefully the wait will be worth it.

I've noticed that they seem to be paying less attention to Reddit and here. I've had the best luck messaging them on Facebook. I've usually gotten a response within an hour or two during business hours.

Anyone know any other sites that sell davinci accessories? I need a mouthpiece gasket. Put it in ISO and it expanded... And I don't wanna pay 10 dollar for shipping.

Just picked one of these up the other day. I have to say it really kicks some ass as a nice conduction session vape. I'm really liking how it performs.

Now the one thing I don't like about this is turning it on and off. Pressing a small button five times fast + carpal tunnel = bad time. I wish there was a way to turn it on by holding it instead or something.

OldOyler

Fire it again. I can still find the ground.
Peace all!

I have had some battery issues. I tried to make my way through some earlier discussion, but got lost quick without just asking.

Should I be looking to use something else besides the "stock" batteries that I got from Davinci? (I know my bud @Baron23 is expert on this kind of stuff)

Thanks in advance.

I got the best results with some LG HG2.

Same battery life and the vape itself feels cooler in use.

I kept everything except the battery
Got you. I messaged Davinci on Facebook and they told me someone from CS will get in contact with Me today. I hope they keep their word. I miss using my IQ and it's only been 3 days smh. I'm going on a one week vacation in March 10th and was really hoping to use my IQ during it, but based on how long the RMA takes, I might have to get it delivered to my vacation house lol.

definitely won't make it unless you are one of the super lucky people. They had my faulty unit for about 10 days before I received the email with an invoice for a new unit. Actually you have a very obvious crack so maybe they'll just take one look and order you a new unit without having to perform any kind of testing. Then, it's another day before it ships and 2 to 3 days for delivery.

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, DaVinci surprises me. After a month of back and forth with my faulty IQ, I finally received my new device in the mail today. Upon opening the package, DaVinci sent me their original vaporizer, not the IQ. This has been the worst customer experience imaginable. DaVinci, please fix this ASAP! At this point I just want my money back so I can buy the Pax 3 or Firefly 2. Unbelievable.

Can the unit function without the post that the pearl sits on?
I'm asking because I just finished giving my IQ a thorough cleaning only to realize that the post the pearl sits on looks a bit wobbly, like as if it would give away with a spirited pull or tug.

I've read posts about people suggesting that you just dap the pearl or scrape it clean of debris when cleaning as removing the pearl from this post is a bit tricky and prone to adding wear and tear on it.

I'm not seeing any replacement posts, so I'm assuming if it comes off, your unit is sorta doomed to have to do without it?

The glass spacers are just ok in my opinion, they do their job, but I would have designed them like the cap of the flavour chamber, so you can use the tool to pick the (hot) spacer out.
Same issue with the Ascent glass spacers. Waiting for little Zirconia pre load capsules that slide out of the bowl as easily as the flavor chamber slips out. Then you won't need glass/poker/brush for every dump reload, you'll just pop in a new capsule. How much could they charge for that?

The IQ is way sexier, way stealthier and way cooler than the Mighty or Crafty. Those three things aside...Mighty or Crafty by a mile. No contest IMO.
Well put; but I wouldn't put the Crafty over the IQ, as it doesn't perform up to par.

i just cannot get the mighty to falter.
Lastly, cleaning is much easier. IMO the IQ is a pain to clean, and the inaccessible area in between the oven and "flavour chamber" is just poor design.
Agreed.

It took me a bit to realize that the IQ needs to start at a higher temp than the Mighty,
Yup, Ascent was the same

DaVinci sent me their original vaporizer, not the IQ.
You should get to keep it now :)
