Random thoughts

Infinite realities, infinite possibilities
Just woke up (EU) and had a dream about fc last night.
Reading Orwell a bit too much lately I dreamt all of fc was living under harsh conditions and we were labeled with numbers instead of names.
Working really hard every day, and as a mean to counter the abuse of the regime, quickly a resistance would form. This resistance would vape as protest in the beginning but later became a genuine rebel alliance. And as a form of protection we used our fc avatars to personalise names again.

I can go in but I think you get the picture

Woke up in the middle of the night randomly and happened to be perfect timing as some idiot acquaintance I know was knocking on my door, head full of lsd asking me if he's retarded. Cannot make this up. Was too confused to mess with him proper and plus didn't wanna deal with the aftermath... but good God what is with the people I know

I made another jockey haul, I'm very done with boxer shorts as I duplicated my previous order. I also got a pack of t-shirts on sale and a deal on a vest I tried to cancel, was going to send it back because I didn't think it would fit; medium was the only size and I usually wear a large/xl. I lost weight maybe that's it. It's pretty nice for $52 marked down to $20, very light and warm and not a pet-hair magnet like fleece.

so lsd kid has been trying to apologize to me but meh. he also got stuck in a thought-loop while I trip-sat him once... told him to only take 1 but he knows best... lol. had to call his friends to get him out of my hair... anyway I digress... just wanted to bring that last story to somewhat of a conclusion if anyone cared.

which brings me to my next random thought:

need to hide all my concentrates until after I am done with my responsibilities for the day... need to squeeze a nap in now...

edit: reading this I sound like a massive dick lmao but yeah for some background I'm a bit older than this kid, and he's a freshmen in college. I shouldn't need to say much more but yeah... I am pretty nice but :<

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Stuck trying to figure something out. Or where to place it. Or if the phenom is partially disproved by more current science. This isn't runner's high I'm discussing, although that could be a trigger. First part relating to me first.:haw:

I was into running for a short time. Hiking up hills was more of a motivation than running along flat ground. Was still considered at least 50 lbs overweight. At the time the other phenom happened to me. Please correct me about the limbic system of the brain, or lizard part of the brain. that is where I'm stuck and want to delve deeper on the topic.

Anyway, after running for a long period of time at a steady pace, My legs felt like the found a set gear and were running almost independent of my upper brain functions.
Did not have to focus on how I was running and the upper half of my body felt like it could pivot and the feet would correct themselves independently. It felt kinds freaky. But a friend knew about the phenom beforehand and asked me if I experienced that lizard brain kicking into cruise control and I mentioned the difference between that and the runner's high most folks are familer with. My drive to go further is a whole other subject.

Don't run as a thing. Try to be kind to my arches and exert myself hiking and biking, weather permitting. But want to tap into that more when going across long boring stretches of road in between say 2 state parks. I do sprint for brief periods and my heart is good at switching from sprinting to a slower rate when walking. So I was told at my last cardio stress test. All that walking up hills and mountain biking and other things seem to have tempered my cardio AC. :haw:

Thinking about spring where I'm at and want to get in shape and prepare my gear and enjoy things earlier. More of a rambling random thought today. Because I do feel it is important to enjoy the break from modern social life and it's trappings and pause for a moment and connect with the time that is influence by nature and reconnect with those impulses.:peace:

Conversely, When I'm in NYC, there is that energy. I do want to check out the NY-NJ trail somewhere where I can see Manhattan as an Island.

Back in the late 70's and early 80's I ran the 5k and 10k frequently. I was first introduced to the sport by organizing a 5k walk/jog charity function to benefit Oxfam. I later found out that I was good at running these distances by having to outrun the football team which was looking to beat me up at every opportunity. I had to live at school so I was there all the time providing ample opportunities for ambush.

Anyways, I totally agree with the feel you describe. It seemed to me that 5 or 10 minutes into the run, when the endorphins clicked in, that I didn't really feel anything below my waist any more and my legs just kinda went on automatic. It was weird but cool at the same time. I don't really know anything about it but it did happen to me.

I'm organizing which seeds to start when and getting the space set up for the seedlings first weeks. I LOVE spring. It's been melting like crazy here. Soon the signs of life will emerge once more.

Today was wonderful! Blue skies, gentle warm breeze. God, it's good to be alive....and stoned.

Tomorrow is an ex girlfriend of mine's 40th birthday. Would it be wrong to buy her four D cell batteries & tell her I figured she could use them?

Watching Hamilton on VICE wander around the Amazon jungle, still frog-less, assaulted by industrial level bugs and food poisoning, with only half the plants he needs to make ayahuasca . . . what are you watching on tv right now?

I always thought your genes would say you were @Enchantre
...but, what they did say, and this might be weird, is I'm significantly Neanderthal.

Also, there's almost NO ONE they could scrape up as "possible DNA matches"... yes, I got a list, but the percentage of match was so low, and they were 3rd + cousins for the most part...none of them even sounded familiar. none.

.....is I'm significantly Neanderthal.
Neanderthal genes are "Native American" genes if you follow the logic, that proves Neanderthal tools were found along a known migratory path which entered North America at that time in history.
@Enchantre .... More Native than a Native American Indian... which mixed gene pools and evolved later.
Read why so much Neanderthal Genes are in American Indian gene pool.

If being Native and having a long and interesting history is of importance to you.... you just hit the Jackpot!

It's more like having a base-level identity, Vitolo. I've never, ever "belonged" to anyone. To a real family.

Thank you for the link, that looks more interesting than the Nat Geographic article I just read.

I've never, ever "belonged" to anyone.
You belong to us, as well as to the Family of Man
To a real family
I understand.
My mother died in childbirth and Papa was killed when I was 4 years old.
I was passed around for a young persons lifetime.
I belong now.
Patty is my first Family!
FC has become family too.
NO... I am not minimizing your feelings of not belonging, just reaffirming that you in reality do.
