so more bad batches of sic then I'm guessing? is he still getting some from the initial guy at least til he works through the back orders? or for business/financial reasons is he only getting them from the 2 new unpredictable suppliers?

Where are you getting this from? I've read like the past 30 pages and don't recall any mention of that.

the flat coil SIC inserts have been back ordered for many weeks now because his sic manufacturer couldn't handle the load so now he's going through 2 new ones, one botched the first batch they sent and the other has not been meeting deadlines at all.

or so I've been told, but obviously I wasn't sure if Josh was still getting some from his original guy too, and I was curious because I ordered last year and was wondering if he at least still had a small stream coming in from the first guy to help with backorders or if I'm just sitting in limbo indefinitely while Josh waits for these manufacturers to reinvent the wheel.

not trying to be a dick, I realize the position he's in, I'm just wondering.

Anyone recommend a good dabber tool for the Liger? I've been using a cheap fairly blunt glass tool I for free from a dispensary.

Do you guys get (partial) dab vaporization at 580*F pre-carbcap on the SiC 20mm? Should I be going lower temp?

Just wanted to repost this as they were both edits to a previous post of mine due to limited thread activity (didn't want to double post) at the end of the last page. Any input? Always looking to get some discussion going; even if it's tangential, it's usually productive.

I was able to get a stinger end made of titanium at my local shop, its pretty heavy compared to the new vape dabbers, though its not branded. Its about 4 inches long, I added a small washer i had laying around and added that to my storm cell cap and now have a great all in one tool.

I did order the terp trunk cap though, and so i ll probably be looking for a glass dabber to use with that. Picked up an awesome local one with a globe on one end with purple colored glass dripping over the clear glass on the globe end, and a pointed end on the other side for $15 a few years ago, but that broke on me. I loved it so ill probably be looking for something similiar, though id probably be paying $60-$70 for something just like it with some work, it was pretty large and heavy, unless i can go back to that one shop like 300 miles away lol.

I personally don't like using the dab tool on the Storm cap except for the shovel looking tool occasionally for real crumbly stuff (but even that I can get pressed onto a dab tool and make it to the banger).

I mostly use a double ended Ti tool with a ball point on one end and a little flat screw driver like blade at the other but there are tons of these out there in slightly different configurations.

Just go shopping, mate

I just use one of those generic carving tools that comes in most vapepen kits. It's not elegant, but it's better than the Liger dabbers and a heady glass one I have. Glass dabbers just aren't pointy/sharp enough for me. Great for big dabs though.

I got the Terp trunk in too and already have it in use. It's a lot better than the Storm. My rig now milks properly. It covers the 30mm perfectly.

I highly suggest getting one. My setup is finally where I want it.

I think the directional airflow may even help the oil not run as much. I will have to test some more but this cap really improved things for me.

Damn, my storm cell has long had very little thread to grip onto the dabber but lately, I find that the dabber pulls straight out of my cap during use! Seems to screw in just fine without the adjustable airflow nut, so I'm guessing that this is a problem with the depth tolerance on the airflow nut or maybe a inadequate groove in the thread for the dabber to catch onto - this would explain why my d-nail fork dabber would fit on the hurricane but never on the storm cell - the hurricane had more thread to grab onto!

I'll have to get in touch with Josh again soon I suppose.

Termini also has a busted shoulder right now and he's trying to bank some money in case he decides/has to have the surgery. He was looking for some small work and I bet he could crush a carb cap for the liger.
Completely off topic, but Termini's is also one of the greatest Italian bakeries anywhere ever!:rockon:

If ever around there, don't miss it.

Josh should really fix this bug :\

P.S.: Does anyone know if the storm cells are back in stock?

Here's a quick picture I snapped of my DHGATE FC-Rattle Can+Liger setup for the Cheap high quality bubbler thread. The 18mm to 14mm reducer acts as a heatsink and a vertical spacer to prevent heat from the liger transferring to the joint and can section, respectively.

I have a drop down which I've stopped using for the time being as I like this more minimalist setup.

Some quick updates:

Screen shot above: We have tried everything possible and cannot fix this damn glitch.. It has directly cost thousands in losses and I am not happy about it. The fix: having to start from scratch AGAIN and build a new website. This new site is approx 80% completed and almost ready to go live.
Until then, if this happens to you (and it only seems to be happening to certain people, not sure if it has to do with the IP address or what) simply back out and purchase the items individually: For Example: on the above Liger page, only select the joint adapters & color. Then if you'd like an insert or carb cap, simply go to their respective page and add them individually.
I sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and am actively working with any customers who this happened to.

Current Stock:
Titanium - The only item back-ordered is the Master Sets. Running very low on 20mm however. More of both will be here in 7-14 days.

Inserts - ALL Flat coil inserts & ALL 20mm inserts are Back-Ordered.
-More Quartz & Sapphire will be here next week (UPS scheduled delivery is Wednesday)
-SiC (this should also clear some confusion) I have been having issues with my current supplier (not meeting deadlines, miscommunications, etc.) due to this I decided to focus on finding a higher quality supply and I believe I have found just the place! That being said, making the move is not a pain-free process and will take approx 3 months (the biggest wait is on tooling the new molds). Until then I am stuck dealing with my current SiC company. Please be patient as I know a lot of you are waiting on Flat Coil SiC & 20mm SiC; I have a massive batch coming in very soon. I expect to have it next week or the week after.
If anyone would like to cut the wait & swap for Quartz or Sapphire simply shoot me an email and we will work out the details! Or if you have been waiting for a SiC, and want a Quartz/Sapphire as well, I'd gladly grant you a healthy discount!

- Josh

Fired up my 30mm for the first time today as I received a cap from @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd. Gave it an ISO bath and fired it up to 710 and worked down to 660 over three dabs. Even the seasoning ones are pretty damn great. I'm such a snob I debated waiting until my SiC insert arrived, but given the above my curiousuty overcame me.

I can't figure out how to paste a picture in here, but if you're looking for basically a glass version of a sphere-shaped hurricane with a dabber he's got a good concept. It sits without having to hold it, even if tilted severely because of the airflow tapering on the bottom.

The nail kicks ass. Easy assembly and I didn't jack with the coil spacing or more than hand tighten the retaining bolt. And I'm pleased with my High5 enail. If you're in the market it seems like really good value. Obviously time will tell as I'm early in the game, but these devices are very simple from an engineering perspective. Props to all three of you.

OK I am a few weeks into my Liger now and I continue to be amazed. The hits are just so tasty and so consistent. Its beautiful to look at. The SiC dish gives off fantastic flavor while also being very easy to keep immaculately clean. My storm cell with one hole open creates one hell of a seal and milks whatever piece I put it in. Bravo Josh!

I have to agree. For a while I was switching back and forth between the halo and liger setups but have been using the 20mm liger with storm cell exclusively for a while now. It is turning out to be the perfect low-temp vape setup for me.

I have had my eye on the thread for a while now, I read in a previous post that 20mm is a good choice with the liger so I was intending to go with that but I wonder if my choice is the best for me? I am looking at a 20mm Liger with the sic insert and either the storm cell or hurricane carb cap.

I generally only have rosin, sometimes I get BHO but not very often, full melt is almost non-existent to buy here.

The 20mm makes sense to me... should I go for that size?

If you do small dabs then yes. If you do large dabs then I think the 30mm is the one. I have both even though I do micro dabs.

Well it seems we have more than one thing in common. I am a HUGE fan of Belgian beers especially dubbels and tripels. Have you ever tried Piraat? Chimay was my favorite beer for years until I tried a Piraat.....sooooooo good.
