The Estreme, silver surfer, and others all use medical grade tubing so you dont have to sweat that.
Well, food grade anyway, but that's good enough. The vape makers usually have pretty good prices on extra tubing too. Another good source is US Plastic Corp (http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/default.asp - use the Tygon Tubing product catagory). That's where Tom gets his Polypropylene rod stock for vapor tubes.

As for the bags, well, they're really oven bags, and if they're safe for the high temps in ovens, they're certainly safe for vapor bags.
Thanks for the correction, max. Clearly I don't know the difference!

Let me make sure i got this right. The extremes versatility can do the following- 1. Blow bags 2. Whip with the users lung power 3. Whip with the fan on 4. Bags can be used with the mouth piece to water pipes 5. The whip can be used with the fan through a water pipe or without the fan on through waterpipes? And all this with a remote, is this everything and correct? Cant wait to get this.
It also is billed as a potpourrie warmer, though I have never used it for this. The blue light underneath it can be turned on and off.

Damn! I've never hit the whip with the fan on either!
:o

I love fan speed 1 + whip. It sounds so lazy, but not having to suck to get vapor sometimes is so nice, you just sit back turning the fan on and off letting it feed you.

I've had the extreme for about 2 weeks now, and I'm still learning its intricacies.

I've found I'm not particularly "saving" on herb, probably using more if anything. Granted, it is nicer than smoking, so you tend to do more, but I've always been the kind of smoker that only needed one bowl to get me solidly stoned. With the extreme I seem to need more to get me to that level.
I don't think I've got the whip totally sussed, because bags seem to get me more stoned more consistently.

I do like how the stone creeps up on you - you'll be doing your own thing, almost forgetting that you've even had a toke, and then suddenly realise you're very high - not like a bubbler which hits me pretty well immediately.

Also, does anyone elses Extreme make a very quiet, but audible, high pitched noise? The power adapter for mine makes this noise even if the unit itself is switched off and unplugged from the Extreme, and will continue to do so unless it is unplugged from the wall socket.

Arizer has had some problems getting reliable power adapters. If you contact the company you bought it from they will propbably replace it...I know Arizer will replace it.

Yep, mine does the same, I've been meaning to have a look around and see if I can get another power supply, I'll probably never get around to it tho because it doesn't bother me too much.

You two need to contact Arizer. My adapter failed and they sent me a new one. They told me they are pissed at their supplier because the failure rate is too hi. I have had no problems with my new one. I am confident they will replace yours at no charge...just send them an email.

Kram you probably aren't hitting the vape rright because i get so much higher from my vape than from even my bong. You gotta take a huge hit and hold it in for 30 secs. Try to hold it in as long as you can, i made a game with my buddies: how long you can hold in the hit for!!:D

Actually i use 1 speed with whip because it gives me a huge, thick vapor hit that chokes the hell out of me (gets me hella high):ko:

And acolyte your RIGHT, bags do make more SENSE, i'm addicted to them, really addicted....help me. :uhoh:

Man i missed a ton of posts, the server stopped sending email notifications, thats when i checked the thread again and low and behold already made it to page 30, send me my damn notifications, im addicted to them.

I don't know if it's just that im super high but i fucking love Arizer's service and communication, they told the truth about their problems with their power supply distributor, no other company would have done that. But regardless, my power supply is working great, and doesn't get hot or make noises at all. Go arizer and Fuck Combustion!

when you have time stop by the salvia thread over in general vaporization and update us on any further experiments ;) im still torn between the ssv and the extreme as my first electronic vape, leaning more towards the extreme cause i like the idea of a fan driven whip hit :whip:

Hey has anybody confirmed that lower temps on the extreme give you a energetic high? If so what temp does this? I always vape at 250c and i always get stoned as hell. It would be nice if i could have a up without the stone... Any suggestions?

But what would you recommend like 220c or 230c? I can't do it right now as i am about to go to work... :(
But later tonight i might give it a whirl, although i might make some edibles with my pile of vaped stuff. :D

Oh an one big question that really confuses me: Last night i was hitting the whip at 250c. Had a good sized bowl. What concerns me was i turned the fan on 1 and sucked for a very long time getting alot of vapor in my mouth. It was very harsh, i couldn't hold it in my throat very long and when i exhaled it looked literally like smoke. But it doesn't burn the herb... So is it possible for very concentrated vapor to look like smoke?
Has anyone else had smoke looking vapor? I only get it after inhaling a lot of thick vapor. But it was very much like smoke. COuld it be possible that it is just very rich and concentrated vapor?

I agree...start at 190. I think you will start getting good results around 220. At 250, you are vaping as high as the E will go. I only get that high when I am finishing off the bowl after several hits at lower temps. If I start at 230, I will end up at 250 on the last hit.

man my e starts scorching the hell out of my stuff at 230-240 full on combustion at 250 and it goes to 260.
i keep mine on 180-185 and work up to 200 .
wonder why so different? hmmmm. i am using dryed and well cured product most of these time. with a thc content of at least 10% and as much as 18%. andwhen i am done my bowls are super toasted not black more like ciggarete tobacco with some darker flecks in it.

Not sure about why they are different, but you are not the only one to get a scorcher. I have never reached combustion. Sounds like you have the type of unit that people want when they want more control!

Maybe your sensor is further away from the element than mine, thus allowing yours to get hotter? I really have no idea.

Funny, though, with my unit it doesn't matter what kind of herb I have...I do all my vaping between 230C and 250C. Nothing lower works well and I can't go higher. Maybe mine is more like a PD in that there is no need to mess with the temp!

310 C (590 F) is combustion territory.
Read this for approximate vaporizing temps- http://www.canorml.org/healthfacts/vaporizerstudy1.html

and read stickstones' sticky for using the Extreme. Keep in mind that Arizer has moved the heat sensor twice since the original version was introduced, which displayed the actual heater temp.

Bottom line for any vape-you've got to find the best temp range for your particular unit. With the Extreme, using bags is helpful in this IMO, since air flow is constant.

Hey I got into the remodelling talk not long after posting

i have had my extreme for over a month now. I was looking into a volcano and came across the extreme, and after much debate i finally ordered it.
When I recieved it my extras didn't come with it, I emailed Arizer and they promptly emailed me back and sent me my stuff with a gift. the item was here 2 days after they had e-mailed me
The item ships from woodstock ontario FYI

I am very impressed and not at all disappointed i didn't get a volcano. My friend has one and I personally prefer this unit, however the valve system on the volcano is a nice feature. I definitely got my $ worth.

I vape at 210 celcius-225 and get mangled!! i gave my first try vaping oil, on top of weed at 225 and fan speed 1 (i always use fan speed one) it tasted great!

I use fan speed one all the time, it is my preference, i personally think it more thoroughly burns thc in one bag. I timed it and i believe fan speed 1 took 3 minutes and 15 seconds to fill the bag it comes with prefixed.
How often would you suggest swapping bags?

My screen in the elbow joint has taken some wear and tear from cleaning but it still works, the screen in the bowl i expect to have a very long life.
i am going to look into getting an attachment to either from the vaporizer to my bong, or bag to bong.

peace and pot

Nice. The Extreme sure sounds like a solid vape. Arizer also sounds like customer service is a priority for them. That's always nice with a company. Stoner friendly..... :D

Has anyone tried making their own bags with the Extreme, like some people do with the Volcano? Like those turkey baster bags or whatever..... ~3 minutes is a long time to wait for one bag.... I guess I am just impatient though. :p
