Brassknuckles Cartridges

I finally tried a knuckle and will try one or two more. I think i still favor the taste of flavrx, but am going to try some other knuckles flavors before reassessing.

The grape is real flavorful and sweet, like a Pez candy and packs a whooping punch

Finally got some of these this weekend, they are really quite nice, also tried a heavy hitter with someone and they aren't dissimilar. We got the SFV too, plus Skywalker OG, and Girl Scout Cookies. SFV might taste the best, but Skywalker and GSC were pretty pure and tasty too with nice hyrbid effects for the cookies while the other two are heavier indicas. Looking forward to trying more flavors

Also wondering best battery options though? Was using a yocan evolve and it's not ideal for these though compact which is nice... Also got a couple Bloom cartridges for Sativas, jack herer and super lemon haze which were pretty tasty, used it on their own battery which is some tiny Chinese auto draw thing that didn't work well for the brass knuckles though

Update just got an ego twist from a shop for $30 and it actually seems to work really nice though it's taller than the yocan insure it will last even longer (not that I ever had an issue there) but it offers temp control with a voltage dial on the bottom (3.2v to 4.8v, but I think these cartridges can't go past 8watts so only 4.2v max then? I like the low temps anyway). Setting it the lowest I can take long hits with the button and they are super smooth and tasty, really nice to have the control and looks nicer than the yocan too... I think the brass knuckles brand batteries may just be ego rebrands anyway? They seem to have an adjustable one and a smaller single temp that look similar maybe

Here it is above the bloom cart/batt and yocan:

I personally steer away from all variable voltage batteries when using carts.
I find they are too hot even on lowest settings... I use those batts with traditional atomizers though.

I still think edit batteries, like blu, give me the perfect temps and vapor production. Hotter provides only slightly more vapor, but also burns through the cartridge much faster for not much more effect IMO.

Oh yeah, I mean I pretty much ride the lowest setting on the ego twist, 3.2v, much smoother and tastier, can hold the button longer and still get big clouds. I have gone higher too, but never even hit 4v, apparently the fixed voltage ego is 3.6v The yocan must be close to that, maybe more, the autodraw could be more, I find that more annoying without a button to properly control personally. These carts seem to last a very long time for me, as does battery life, so if that is your concern with variable voltage batteries for cartridges, then maybe you should check one of these out? I didn't expect much from name, but it does work quite well and nice (pretty sure brass knuckles' batteries are just ego and ego twist btw, so good here at least)

I have tried 3 different batteries and couldn't get a draw from my cartridge..I used my blu battery but the draws were very light..I noticed the blu battery has a tiny pin hole in the center at the top of the battery and my others didn't..the other batteries were similar to the c twist batteries I see above but a different brand..aren't these carts compatible with any 510 threaded battery? Sorry I'm a newbie w the carts

Chance your cart could be clogged, my SFV had a clog on one side so it worked but very restrictive. Certain batteries can have more restricted airflow too, but my ego twist has been great with any cartridge really

I just got a Blueberry one now as my GSC is almost done and I gave the SFV to a friend. It's quite taste, nice effects too but definitely indica. I saw they had a Raw flavor there too, no added terpenes... Will try that some time, but dono what strain it would be then?

Thanks @Shit Snacks ....not clogged at all worked just fine on my blu battery just feel like the blu battery is sightly under powered..I'll give it another shot tonight..I got the strawberry cough one..effects seem minimal but again it's due to my battery..I'm in a non legal state so can't take my cart into the local vape shop to test out batteries..but I'll def track down that ego twist and give it a go..thanks

Ah, I always use low temps anyway, smoother and I like the tasty effects. I use 3.2v lowest setting on the twist pretty much unless in the evening and I don't usually go past 3.6v (never pass 3.8 even). But that's with hybrid and indica brass knuckles, I haven't tried any of their sativa yet and I can see why you would want full power regardless.

Definitely check out the ego, I believe the ones with the brass knuckles branding are egos as well so it's a solid option for optimal performance. The non twist temp fixed ones are set at 3.6v, you can control temp with the button too so that's solid. The twist I'm not sure if the cart can go quite as high as the 4.8v max, I remember reading they might need a 4.2v max, but unsure if the branded twist is exactly the same or not.

They have them at most any ecig shop, no need to test with the cart, I didn't and I'm even in a legal state. You definitely want a good battery, the tiny one in my photo doesn't work so great with these and the yocan is also only okay, they're better with the oilier cart brands

I've now tried several knuckles and definitely like some better than others. Then Banana OG was not my favorite... the others have been great regards to flavor.

Out of the 4 I've tried, two were painfully ridiculously restrictive draws. IMO something was wrong with the last run of carts as there was nothing I could do to make less restrictive. They were wasted money and not pleasurable to use. I am giving one more try with another cart, Tangie... we will see how it goes but if it is another super restrictive cart, I am moving back to flav.

Interesting, I'm on my fourth now as well and only the one was overly restricted, and I could literally see the clogged airhole. Maybe try from another dispensary? Mine all from same place

OK this is making more sense now that u guys mention the cart has a restrictive draw..I used and old kanger 3.8v subvod battery today and I got a slightly better draw than with my other 2 smaller batteries..I noticed as if I took back to back rips I was able to get larger and smoother pulls on the 2nd or 3rd pull..as if the first 5 sec rip was just a primer pull..think I may borrow a mod box and adjust it to 6-8v and see how it goes..hopefully can borrow one and report back...@ Flyinglow which ones were more restrictive in your opinion

Yeah I mean compared to the Bloom or Pickled Monkey carts that are more liquidy, and the disposable pens, they're definitely more restricted in a sense. I find that those others can dry out your throat much more as a result, the way they vape. The brass knuckles are closer to an oily hash wax, they can get thinner too, but thicken up. I actually read about honeyvape carts recently and supposedly those are even thicker concentrate, some people need to use a hair dryer or hot water to get them more free flowing, but with adjustable voltage or high enough fixed setting it should be fine I would think (they're pricier I think at least delivery, haven't seen them in a shop yet, got one of their disposables and it seemed to be more liquid with a wick)... Anyway yeah so these also use the steel rod to conduct the heat to the meds as opposed to the wick that the oily ones tend to use, better taste but different heating would make sense. Hold it a second before you start inhaling maybe, take longer slower hits perhaps, I've never really had an issue with using them so far, but I suppose if you're used to one thing and quick rips more easily with a small battery there can be an adjustment. I approach it like herbal vaping

Start really low like 4 or 5 watts. Make it so that the volts are between 2.9 and 3.2 or so.

4 or 5 watts is NOT really low. Check out this calculator here: http://www.rapidtables.com/calc/electric/watt-volt-amp-calculator.htm
The brass knuckles adjustable pen adjusts from 3.2 - 5 volts, and has a 680 milliamp battery. 4 volts is pretty hot, and at 4 volts, you're still pushing under 3 watts.

And how come nobody cares if cartridge manufacturers are using additives in their oils? I was just reading a study done by the New England Medical Journal which shows that PG is turned into formaldehyde at temperatures which are common in modern vaping. I think that all carts should have to an ingredients label, it only makes sense.

I just tried Brass Knuckles cartridges for the first time yesterday, got the Banana OG. I was pretty impressed at first. I could smell the banana scent really strong just by sniffing the cartridge! I knew it was going to be overflowing with flavor and it was. I'm just not entirely sure that's a good thing - I mean, what are they putting in here? The oil starts off really thick, but as soon as I get a good vape going, it turns *very* liquidy and starts to look like e-juice. Other oils I've tried do not do this, but I wonder if these cartridges just get hotter than others? Also have to admit I'm using a higher voltage pen as I've heard that's required to get the best experience, and I'm happy with the purchase, this thing rips! I really have to say though that despite the lab results, I am disappointed with the lack of transparency in the company. There is no ingredients list, no website - only social media posts with hashtags and photos. I've searched for at least an hour and could not find any mention of what the cartridge contents are, not even from watching the youtube vids. What the hell?

I care very much. No PG/VG/PEG or non-cannabinoid derived added terps for me, please.

This is a WA state product, but I liked it very much and believe it meets those criteria.

Depends on the resistance to a great degree. Sub-ohm (say .7 ohm) and 3.8V = 20 watts.

Ah I see, wow I had no idea I had 20 watts so close to my lips! So what resistance rating are these Brass Knuckles cartridges anyway? Says they can handle up to 8 watts.

Glad to see someone else that cares what they're puffing on. Cheers. Thanks for sharing the link, if I see some around I will definitely try. The best I've found so far is Absolute Xtracts, I really like those ones.

I dunno. I did get a WA state cart with no PG/VG/PEG and any terps came from the cannabis and they also said run at 8 watts which was ok but I also found it just a bit better at 12-14 watts. I think they low ball wattage recommendations. No failures at low wattage but not really the right temp for many (including me).

My Eleaf box does show resistance but I can't remember what it was exactly. Want to say 1.3 ohms or something like that (but I may well be VERY wrong) which if we hold the other values would yield a wattage of 11.

Yeah like none of the cart brands I've seen have websites, I kinda trust them? I dono I discovered Alpine now and they are live resin so it's different but yeah the oily is common especially for like Bloom which are supposed to be our CO2?

I've had a couple brassies get clogged on me though, really restricted to draw now, and another got fucked up somehow started like cooking silicone tasted bad oil full of air bubbles... Black spots in the airholes but not clogged? Gotta exchange it.

Loved the purple haze though while it worked... Alpine doesn't have as many strains unfortunately, still need to find the best thing for me, which I mean really is herbs so need the right more portable vape

Got to try some more new flavors! I like how now they list sativa indica hybrid too, Cookie Hybrid seems like GSC? Unsure if it's a separate strain or new name, but it's nice earthy flavor and Tangie Sativa also was delicious upper like orangina taste... I kept the Strawberry Cough sativa for myself, nice subtler taste and effects, along with a Gelato hybrid that is good balanced effects with a sweet candy taste

I do still like this brand of carts, we'll see how these two hold up, was able to exchange the defective purple haze one, probably could've swapped the clogged blueberry even but it still works fine. So that's nice and happy hour pricing at my place is only $44 which is great. I need to find the other general cart thread I started to add info about these and the other brands I've tried... Though I'm the only one basically lol was hoping to get a thread going

Just grabbed this new Cup winning flavor a few days ago , taste is awesome and a really nice effect. @Shit Snacks i believe the back of the box say's they can go up to 8 watts , i been chilling anyplace from 3.2 - 3.8 and liking the flavor. Edit* 8 watt max right on the front. Wish i had more flavors to try , i may like them a bit better than the 710 cartridges i have tried. Hard to come by for me though and of course i get that NY tax added on , i usually make my own and i am happy but flavor wise , mine are never as tasty as the prefilled.

Huh so interesting, totally different packaging, we don't have an LA Kush here, but they're all LA strains I believe... But yeah I milk em at 3.2v almost exclusively, smoother and tastier, I do go up a bit depending on the strain, time, who I'm sharing with, never above 3.8v really either and it's been while since I went above 3.5 honestly. Yeah I still think I like these more than the Alpine oil vs oil wise... Bloom could be a wash

This is straight from Cali , was sealed also before I had opened it. I believe it's a new flavor that just won a award at the cannabis cup. When I looked up the brand all I see is them coming in this type of packaging but hey what do I know , I'm all the way in N.Y. . I can tell ya it tastes awesome . Now I want to try new flavors . I am so used to melting my own concentrate into some ej mix and filling my own carts for myself . This definetly taste better , but I do put more than double the dosage when I make mine so they are really strong. I prefer the lower temps also , 3.2-3.5 , sometimes I'll take it to 3.8 bc I feel the effects come on quicker when need be. Any chance you heard of emerald farms cartridges ? Wondering if they are any good . The 710's are up there with this brass knuckles from what I have tried so far .

Ah interesting, I know they did recently change packaging to include the hyrbid sativa indica info, but yeah with no website there's no way to know all the different varieties available... I'll post a photo of packaging from my Gelato and Strawberry Cough later when I am home if I can remember. Haven't seen that brand yet, but I it keep going to the same place bc they're reliable lol I never deal with concentrates otherwise at all really unless it's with a friend, these are all about convenience and I think they are even quite nice all around as you say!

LA Kush was a limited time strain for what I know. It was probably only local to the LA area too.

I've been enjoying BK a lot. I only pick them up as a DOGO getting 2 of the gram cartridges for $65

I love the new Kush Kola, it tastes just like Coke!!! Abracadabra is a good flavor too, it's definitely a Lime flavor.
