vapes tobacco modding the vapes
Greatly appreciate it, I'll google where to order it.
btw- beautiful shots, how do u keep ur tip so clean?:hmm:
It is brand new on its 1st day of use.

Does your tobacco char no matter where you heat the cap, or are you flavor chasing and just heating the tip?

Also, if I may ask, how does the nicotine hit you when you vape tobacco? Is it way more potent?

Thank you!!
Tobacco needs lower temps to vaporize comparing to VC defaults. So I have to heat the tip just to avoid charring. My mod helps too. EDIT: heating lower digger side of the cap is a no-no with tobacco, harsh and pungent vapor.

Vaping is far more effective so be careful to not overdose. Lesser quantities, lower temps, lighter tobacco blends are must. Say Cavendish, Orientals and Latakia.

Out of curiosity I saw a video detailing the new titanium tips have adjustable screens, is that true of the model I ordered?

Yeh I believe all the Vap's shipped direct from DynaVap now come with the latest Ti-Tip (I think gen4?). These will have the sockets for precise screen placement. I do believe you can do the hemp fiber mod with older tips but you'll defo get the latest gen shipped out when you order direct.

Here's that vid: Adjustable bowl titanium tip

I know these units are very efficient with micro-dosing but how about as a one-hitter?

I was somewhere recently where I had a minute in a well vented bathroom and because my glass OG gives a wispy priming hit first, I did this first priming hit at home.
It was very fast and effective that night! Bonus is, just when it clicks after cool down, you can drop the unit into the plastic tube to minimize odor. Then take it out whenever and take the next hit.

Bummer on the car lighter, was hoping it would do the trick.
It might be made to work if you can pull back the sleeve of the lighter and roll the sides of the cap across the lighter element, but just applying it as if to a cigarette might give a weak result unless you become an expert at disrespecting clicks and boosting the cap.
Either way it would probably take a good few cycles of the lighter, and it would be advisable to just carry a small torch or bic lighter in the vehicle. I have also yet to try tealights but that could be a possibility for you also if it's a camping or survival type scenario.

@GreenHopper thanks a bunch! Just added it to my order, was wondering why that was in their shop :)
I think @Squiby might have actually invented this use for the fiber, and it might have been originally in their shop as a medium to help suspend oils in a VC bowl? Or possibly as a wick for juice in the Pyrovap?
It's like a PC version of cotton for anti-prohibitionists who won't support the cotton industry anymore!

Seeking a name for this mod, please suggest. I added domed screen to the bottom of the cap to avoid the cap touching the load. Now my tobacco never chars at the bowl opening.

Really like this mod.thanks for sharing @Xelatsok .it seems to fix up the only issue i had with the vapcap initially. That was, loss of flavour due too charring the top of the bowl.

So I took an 11mm leather hole punch to a 1/2 in medium ss screen, took the cut screen disc and pushed it home gently with the tip and its lodged there, hasnt moved.

33k5d3r.jpg

Been testing all day with a dual flame honest torch and off the bat i noticed immediate improvement.bowls are char free every time and more evenly vaped.Clouds seem denser, larger which shocked me a little at first.not sure whats causing the improvement....maybe more aggitation and throttling of the air stream through the screen? But im feeling its a game changer for me anyway...Improvements also in flavour and smoothness.
Anyone else @VapCap had a go ?

Below:latest tip and cap on TI.Thanks George:cool:

So it's a small basket screen?

Early on I was pulling the cap loose by a mm or so and it had a similar effect as the screen. I'll try this for sure as soon as I find one that fits. Ive been using an upside-down basket screen in the tip almost since I got it, and it's still going strong.
I like how its fit and forget .no real need to ever remove it .it feels to me like its agitating the airlow through screen into the vape in a positive way.Its honeymoon with the VC all over again.

So guys, I need some help. After a month with the OG VapCap I'm almost ready to place an order but I have the feeling that the DynaVap website/shop is not fully updated. I'm looking at OmniVaps, either Cocobolo or Ebony (I thought Ebony was much darker ("Ebony & Ivory"...) but it looks closer in colour to the Bocote Dynastash. Any thoughts? A good combo or am I missing something? Will the Omni fit in the Dynastash? Am I right in thinking all OmniVaps have SS condensers? Basically, although I like glass I want something close to indestructable... Also, is it only OmniVaps that have the adjustable chamber settings? - I'm kinda a microdoser...
I am open to any and all suggestions though as this will be shipping to Europe and I'm trying to assemble the perfect package-
Also in my cart is a replacement pack of 3 Titanium CCD screens, a The Cap, a High-Temp Titanium Tip O-Ring Kit (not sure what I need these for), and some De-gummed Hemp Fiber (again, not sure what I'll use that for). So, any glaring omissions or incompatabilities there? Thanks in advance :leaf:

I won't comment on any personal styling preference, though I will say that if a specific combo is not on the site, send them an e-mail. They'll sort you out if possible.

The omni is basically the same size as the OG you have. It is that same size as the standard Ti Woody S, and it will definitely fit in the Dynastash.

The OmniVap internals are titanium as far as I know.

All Titanium tip models (Ti Woody, OV, etc) will be adjusta-bowl.

The OV will come with a cap, so you don't need an extra one unless you expect to lose the one it comes with. In fact, the cap on your OG will work perfectly with the OV too, so only get a spare if you absolutely need double cap-loss redundancy.

The OV has 8 o-ring in total IIRC. You remove them when thoroughly cleaning, and they can wear out with extended use(they can get pinched when removing/inserting the condenser/tip, so if you change the body a lot, or clean often, they will wear out faster). You could get by with one or two broken rings for a while after you loose them or they break, and will eventually need more. Highly recommended addition for a long-term maintenance pack.

The screens are also a good addition. You can use the extras if you ever lose/mangle one while cleaning, or if you plan to make a fiber-filter sandwich for increased fine particle filtration resulting in smoother, less irritating pulls (the most common use for hemp fiber right now).

There is no perfect package unless you add at least one of each of everything! (the entire line up, of course). Though you seem to have a great getting started pack. Make sure you have a good turbo lighter - either from dynavap or check out the relevant vapcap lighter thread (you already have an OG, so I guess you have something already).

Welcome, and happy clicking! :D

I have also yet to try tealights but that could be a possibility for you also if it

If you use a bic lighter or a candle your heat up time will extend to around 30 seconds or so.

To avoid a black suet build up on your cap, keep the cap above the flame.

It is very relaxing yo soak in a hot tub with a candle and your Vapcap. :)

I'm looking at OmniVaps, either Cocobolo or Ebony (I thought Ebony was much darker ("Ebony & Ivory"...) but it looks closer in colour to the Bocote Dynastash. Any thoughts?
Cocobolo has red/Orange/Brown variations where as the Black and White Ebony is a mixture of blonde and black wood. It pairs nicely with the Bocote stashes. If you want a solid black body, choose the Blackwood.

Will the Omni fit in the Dynastash?
yes.

Am I right in thinking all OmniVaps have SS condensers?
Yes. It has a threaded ss condenser that screws into a machined titanium mp. The length of the condenser can be lengthened or shortened, pushing it farther into or out of the tip. This adjustment effects airflow. Finds your sweet spot, set it and forget it.

The Omnivap could be considered indestructible.

Here is the threaded condenser tube by it self as well as fully threaded into the mouthpiece and mostly threaded out.

Also, is it only OmniVaps that have the adjustable chamber settings?
No. All ti tipped Vapcaps including the Omnivap have tips with an adjustable chamber.

The high temp orings are used on the Ti Tips and the Ti Mouthpiece to allow for a friction fit into the Omni body.

The Degummed Hemp Fiber can be used to make a bed for concentrates or to fashion a filter. Lately, I have been placing a filter between two screens to create a very very smooth non irritating vapour. The filter also effectively keeps your condenser clean for a long time. First I place a screen in the lowest groove, then the filter, then a second screen is placed into the middle groove.

Here is some info on how to make a filter.

Im sure this has been asked before but are there plans for a XL version of the Omnivap? Direct swapping my Woody XL's condenser for an Omni version with the titanium mouthpiece would be sweet

It's not on the website but you can ask for an XL Omni condenser.

I have a blackwood OmniVong XL.

George didn't have any XL Ti or glass stems at the time so you can only only choose the XL stems currently available on the site.
