Aight so the other day i went to a head shop and bought my first vape the VD. The shop guy told me to leave it on high to burn off un wanted oils so i did that. Ive had it and udnerstand it now but whenever i heat it up and smell near the element it smells like a glue gun. Do you think this could be something harmfull to my health.

Thanks in advance

How long have you let it 'burn' in? If you can let it go until you no longer smell anything, then I think that it is not going to be harmful to your health. Can you be a bit more specific; what model do you have?

And welcome to the world of vaping. It is better fir you than smoking/combustion.

i let it sit for like 20 or 30 mins on high and the smell was still there it has a metal heating element as aposed to ceramic if that means anything.

ima try to hit it now and see if it tastes funny :D

but yea any info would be handy

I'll try to look it up and see what I'm going to come up with, but not until tomorrow morning (sorry). I'vr ordered from Smokecity and they seem okay.

ok thanks i aprreciate it, i think it may be the wood smell once it gets heated up like the glue from it if that makes sense

The Vapor Daddy is a Canadian box vape and has been around for many years. I used to have one myself. Mine had no smells and I doubt they'd be dumb enough to use glue in a high temp area on purpose. If the smell doesn't go away you might want to see about returning it, since you've only had it a short time.

Lifespan (I assume you mean in the Vapor Daddy). I thought all the box vapes had gone to ceramic elements by now. Manufacturers switched to ceramic elements for reliability. Vapor Brothers units used to drop like flies after a year or three. They were late in going to ceramic.

they just say that it's ceramic. When I look inside I saw a metal tube . looks like copper or brass. i wouldn't go there.
