Every time I switch from concentrate to herb, after taking out the pad, I put it on max heat, plus 111% and do a few dry runs to get out anything that may be left behind.. I don't know if it helps, but it has been working for me so far.. i'm sure you already tried this, just tossing out some ideas. If you figure it out, be sure to let us know how!
Hope it's an easy fix for ya.. it's pretty frustrating to spend $$$ and have it not function properly!
I'm just waiting to be able to get a backup jet blk lid, carrying case, and mouthpieces.. I really don't like not having spare parts for my tech gadgets!
Paco, where are you saying to look in? The dark spot where the light shines through, or in the oven?

Thanks paco FF2 and Splorgle -- I did a few burn offs but only after it had been cleaned. I didn't do the cleaning personally... just burned off again a couple of times -- unfortunately, in the bowl, when backlit by the heating, does show what looks like about half the holes are clogged.
I really get total resistance on draws. Mouthpiece clear. Any way to deep clean further? I love my FF2 -- really appreciate all the help.

As for the battery indicator light, that's a little strange. Make sure you are tapping directly on the contacts, at least three times in quick succession.
Yup -- no response.
I've only used the app or the blinking red light to indicate battery level to me.

The Vape critic tips on cleaning the firefly2 is using a qtip swab with a little alcohol upside down. Wipe it out with a paper towel to dry. Then use that computer duster stuff and blow out the holes with the air. I am not sure if it's safe or unsafe, but it completely worked for me. I was in the same situation, juslt beat the learning curve and loving it when it got clogged. This saved me. Good luck

I find myself holding it a different way these days. Its stealthier too. I grab it like I grab the bottom hand on a baseball bat. Either my middle or forefinger presses the sensor and the base of the pad of my thumb presses it on the other side. So most of the unit is concealed by my hand. The arc of your fingers over the top of the unit leaves space to peek into and make sure that light is green.

Most compressed cans used to blow off electronics contain a bitterant which can leave a foul smell on your FF2. I have one of the rubber bulbs you press and it works fine.

I'm having a problem with one of my batteries .....its 100% charged up but when I hit the touchpads the unit does not turn on at all or turns on very briefly only to turn off immediately .... Switch to my spare battery and all is good ....any suggestions? .... thanks

Sounds like an internal issue with the battery. Check with Firefly and see if they'll take it as a warranty issue.

Everything done by the book. Very possible about leakage but the pad was indeed used. I didn't clean the unit myself, but the restrictor plate holes look clear... any way to clean them better just in case?

Thanks again for input!

Hmm. If they look clear they probably are. You can do an ISO wipe, holding the FF upside down. If you have a very fine pin you can try and poke the point into the holes gently to push out any debris.

But either the airflow is compromised, or the heating is. You tried both batteries?

Attempted to order one yesterday. Complete fail to say the least bought it at 11am eastern time. Overnight shipping using paypal credit. Hours pass and no emails from firefly at all. Just paypal. I message them on instagram and facebook. They reply once acting as if they are going to help then nothing. Turns out customer support just happened to be closed yesterday as well...on a monday. Pretty pathetic. So 20 dollars wasted on overnight shipping. Worst customer service ive ever seen. Pax was great cs. Epicvape was slow but when i got my 2nd power chord all was well. After seeing vapecritics review and this forum i thought it would be a good purchase. NOPE. 400 dollars is too much money to be messed around with. Its balogna. I shouldve just ordered a mighty and got the storez ans bickel customer service. Its sad really cause i was really looking forward to it. Now im in the process of cancelling my order. Who knows how that will go.
Complete joke of a company do not waste your time. Unless you like stressing about where your 400 dollars has disapeared too.

If it was me I'd cancel it only because a few days ago I saw on VapeLife forum the firefly company is offering the 14 day trial for $25. It's a small commitment and if you like the unit and the CS after the trial you can make a more informed choice.

sorry, I may have given you bad information. Just went on the vapelife forum and all I saw were comments, I haven't found that post I thought I saw about extending that trial offer, I'll hit u up with a PM if I find it

Lmao yeah if id known the cs was this trash i woudlnt have ever bothered. Its ashame vape critic recommended it. He probably gets special treatment bc they know if they screw him everyone would know. If only he knew how they treat actual customers

Will attempt yet again to get into contact with cs today. Hopefully dont have another random day off in feb. Oh wait its valentines day! Probably closed again

Try texting them if you can. Not that you should have to but I got a response to a concern within a few hours when I did.

Update as promised: Got in touch with cs. Nothing shipped or got fufilled yesterday. The woman on the phone was nice enough and apologized for the mishap. She emailed me my verification email and ill be getting another apparently when it ships. Looks like the overnight shipping was still a waste. Shipping out today hoping it arrives tomorrow and the fireflys performance puts this all behind! I was gonna ask for a refund but refunds are always a hassle so i figured id just stick it out and see. The epicvape enano was finicky at first but i got over that learning curve and its awesome. Hoping for the same here!

Also tonight recieved email from Firefly notifying me of a shipping refund. As well as complimentary cleaning kit and concentrate pads. Very much appreciated. Hoping this all was a one time mistake. Most importantly, back on track to vape

They are good folks. They've had a few glitches this cycle with CS, apparently....there's no good excuse for turning off a potential lifetime customer but I know they value their users...hopefully your future relationship with them and the FF goes more smoothly.

I sold my Firefly 2 after four months of use.
I just got fed up with it, you can have a great bowl and the next one is subpar. Too much fiddling with the amount of herb to get the perfect draw. Looking for a replacement, maybe one the of the Boundless units.

Just a friendly word in the hear...the large fonts, bold, and canary yellow makes it feel like you are yelling at us. Just saying, mate, but its up to you of course.

Pay no mind to those voices in my head

Also, makes it fairly unreadable.

twigs,
If the material becomes blackened at all would that indicate i am doing something wrong? Using coarse grind as stated and packing to brim tamping down to hold in place but enough to mixup during the session. Seems the middle is extra cooked more often than not. Maybe just pieces of stem?

Glad to hear they gave you the shipping refund bro. That they recognized that you didn't get what you paid for (the overnight shipping) and refunded that is to be commended. So many vape/glass vendors are terrible with this shit IME!

I have to stir every 2-3 hits, or 1 if I'm repeatedly pressing the heater button on one draw, to take a big hit. Otherwise it will get charred on the bottom.
I had it combust on me this morning for the 2nd time. It was a little chilly out so I did a few cigar puffs to pre heat it, when I started inhaling, it was the nasty combusted smoke choking me out. I wish I knew why it is doing that, I don't like worrying about getting stunk up from random combustion!
