Micro-dosing

I know this may not apply for chronic pain and other conditions, but for myself and possibly others, I feel like it's super important to learn to enjoy the whole high again. I'm not saying I'm good at this, :ko: but I think I'd like to be able to more often. I'm used to reaching a certain level and topping off frequently. I feel like I'm missing out on the full experience of what each beautiful strain has to offer by not celebrating the full ride though.

But for real, it's hard to microdose when you have some mega tasty live resin or something that you want to just keep on tasting.

If your truely a medical user, it may be helpful to have and use a schedule and be dosage aware. The nature of the herb almost requires experimenting if your a patient.

It helps to watch dosages if your on a budget as well.

But hey we're all human, and if you want to vape tasty stuff until you find Nirvana. Go for it.

My personal weakness is being around my stoner friends. But I quickly get back in a routine, and just take some days off if my tolerance gets too out of whack.

some of the terps that are being extracted work great for upping the pre cursors without adding the heavier compounds.. terp dips

If I vaped half what you do I would never be truly competent.
well, it's not like i used this much weed when i worked or had responsibilities. i'm now free of all obligations except to getting high, watching tv, movies, playing games, reading... i'm basically catching up on me time for all the time i had responsibilities.

i have a long way to go. :)

my Vapcap arrived and I would have to say it is a great device for micro-dosing. I've gone from 5-7 grams a week to below 1.5 grams and getting less by the week.

The most unexpected thing I have found with micro-dosing is that my moods are more level. I was clearly over dosing far too much on my session vape (flowermate).

Ya that's a good way of putting it. I find the same thing when I overdose that my moods just become really extreme. I become either super lazy, super depressed and super just off, or I'm the most positive happy energized person and I can bounce between the the two within seconds/minutes when I've been overdosing for a while. Micro-dosing helps me regulate the balance of my moods, but too little weed and I feel too little variation in my moods leaves life too mundane for me. Part of the medical benefit for me comes from just this spicing up of life both positive and negative, but it just comes down to balance and not letting my emotions get out of whack from overdoing it

I need that blow out as well. The downside of micro-dosing is missing that lovely vaper taste as you way over do it :D I can now save those up and use them better.

How are people storing their micro doses? I have my main in a jar that I open once a week. Then I use three old plastic containers. The issue is that they are a little big now and everything dries out.

I used to just take a mason jar around with me and put little bits in my MFLB after grinder as needed, but that got tedious and bulky so now I probably put a quarter to half a gram in my grinder at a time then carry that around and put in my after grinder as needed. Then I can track how long it takes me to finish off what was in my grinder

I had some one gram glass vials (cheap & easy on Amazon) that were great till I broke them all, now I am down to the snap top containers that diabetic test strips come in. Both small types of containers carry a weekly load for me and keep things relatively fresh. Larger size storage containers are still a range of screw top jars stored in a cool, dark place that get aired out every so often depending on the age of the bud.

Great question!

I have many varieties around and they do tend to dry out. And with micro dosing a half gram bud can last all day.

I keep larger amounts of unground herb in glass with boveda packs. Then take single buds to grind from those jars. The ground bud goes in tiny glass (octogonal) spice jars from amazon.

Works well for me.

Same with me. Grind out 1g for the week and keep it in one of these.

I don't tend to have a lot of herb around but what I have lasts a long time. I use even less since I began using a tiny piece of bud instead of grinding with my vapcap. I'm also trying that with the insert into the milaana- there's not room for much in the insert anyway.
I bought a few mirin glass containers that hold a bit over a gram buds. Probably would hold more ground but I'm switching to buds. I have other containers like jyarz but love the mirin ones. They are beautiful.

I use little aluminum containers from Amazon, air tight and small, think Carmex, lasts me a week. I also just started using the flower mate stainless capsules for flowers, got five of them and they drop right into my xmax v2 pro. Perfect for microdosing on the go with no hassle.

Can you go into more depth about the insert you're referring to @little maggie? I have been on a break and may be a little out of touch with the latest milaana accessories.

I do micro-dose with my Crafty; but sometime I double the load and vape over two sessions. Not much difference except balancing the sessions.

So I starting exploring other vapes and found some that are vape on demand and they are claimed to be very efficient. I was wondering why not vape on demand and micro dose using multiple sessions to fit the bowl size of the vape? Anybody know of a good vape on demand electronic portable?

This is basically what the MFLB is to me. Carry it around and take a puff when I'm feeling it. There are definitely others tho that are good at this as well, I just don't have as much experience with various vapes as others

That one is excellent for this purpose. If you're not loading micro as well though, you have to pay careful attention. The one I use these days is the HipVap. A narrow vapor path and your temp on display makes it easy to sip a micro dose.

Some weeks ago, before X-mas, I received for testing/review a vape I hated first, the Zolo by Relaxotech. First impressions was very bad cause the huge bad smell, off-gassing and initial bad taste. Since it is a conduction device I packed the square oven àla Pax with burnt taste and uneven extraction.

Although I decided to give it another try since I like the small form factor, the fast heating time and the 4mn timer is perfect for some quick hits between 2 things to do... I was under the impression the unit was heating hotter than expected and didn't like tight pack so i decided to use a very small and loose pack(0.05 max)., set the unit at 195°C and go for a cycle... nice clouds and decent taste, good effects too.
That's definitly a unit on the cheap side for on the go use only, don't expect something awesome although I was pleasantly surprised to find some use for this vape (if a restricted airflow don't bother you too much...).

I love my HipVap @max but habitually I prefer to fill it full for sipping on the go.
