Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Upset that I purchased an Evo today and I find out later today they have an Evo starter kit with a Incycler :(
Purchased online? If so, and not shipped yet, contact their CS if you want to change your order. I'm sure they can accommodate you.

Thanks for the advice, I did order a banger but it was faulty and cracked after heating it up when I did a burn off to clean it... I only had it 10 mins!

I have just ordered some Evo Quartz nails that should arrive tomorrow. I had a really good session with the glass nail yesterday... To good in fact because I put it down on my bed after trying to clean it and totally forgot it was red hot! Cue a sizzle and burning smell coming from my mattress! Oh fuck....

So I persuaded myself I needed a new mattress and it doesn't matter, but what do you guys use to keep your nails safe and sound - has anyone made a custom job?

The Vapexhale nail holder is £30 here, seems a bit excessive for a bit of wood with holes in :hmm:
Take a 4" or so chunk of 2 x 4 wood and drill holes in it. A stand is a stand, yeah?

Yessssssss! My Evo returns from Colleen, the Vape Doctor!

I shipped it out, ground, on 1/5, they received it on like, 1/13, and I received it back today, 1/20. I even got a free ELB stuck in there, which was nice, because I originally had four and dropped one in the toilet (while I was banging duff out of it with my dabber - decided to flush it, because iso can't clean my memory off - it would be like Russian Poolette, trying to decide if THIS was the one that was in the shitter the one time).

I think they changed the heater, too, because it's not notchy at 12 o'clock anymore.

Hi - First time posting. I'm having trouble with concentrates on my Vapexhale. Similar to issues @GameEnders posted on earlier this year, I have had great experience with concentrates on my Omicron V4 and my Crafty (though the Crafty gets so messy that I don't often use it with concentrates), but I cannot seem to figure out how to properly use the Evo for concentrates. I almost always get a harsh, burnt flavor. I've tried multiple techniques suggested on here, including turning the unit off as soon as the bamboo turns red, using low temps, ensuring my concentrate is smaller than a grain of rice, etc. and can't seem to figure it out. I'm clearly doing something wrong as I know others have had nice experiences with the Evo and concentrates. The unit itself works fine with flower, FYI. I'm using glass VXNs rather than quartz. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've gotten there, but the technique does take a little work to figure out. A lot of the recommendations are to go high temp, but I'm not good enough to do that without a lot of burnt taste. I have a new technique for kicking off the hit based on some random youtube I saw, here are the steps with some of my own additions added.

1. Warm up the VXL to about 11:15-11:30 (I don't think for dabs its a ton of difference whether you let it heat soak or not)

2. Put the vxnail in the vxl and put your finger on the top, wait about 7-8 seconds and near the end of that give it some little shakes back in forth while its still in the EVO

3. When you take your finger off immediately put the hydratube on, I find if you leave the nail exposed to the open air it will heat up really quick so give you a burnt taste faster, holding my finger off and immediately covering with the HT seems to work well with my technique and getting the hit on that sweet spot. Do not DRAW immediately!

4. After a few seconds of the hydratube sitting on the EVO while holding both parts, move the VXL back and forth at an angle, like 45 degrees back and forth a few times. You'll notice that if you don't sometimes the hit starts really weak at this temperature and you don't get to the sweet spot of the hit for awhile. I think the reason is your wax hasn't pooled evenly across the bottom so it vaporizes slowly. The little tip and shakes get the material pooled across the bottom and the hit starts a lot faster even though the temp is low. Makes a HUGE difference.

5. Start your slightly slower than normal draw like you'd normally do. DO NOT REMOVE THE HYDRATUBE UNTIL YOU CLEAR THE LAST HIT. I put in maybe a 1.5-2 grain of rice size hit and using this method I will get 2-4 gigantic hits with one dab. Try not to take too long between hits, the material is getting hotter and hotter so this will increase the burnt taste. If you take off the HT between hits the material gets really hot as well and you get burnt hits. I leave the HT on the whole time until the very end. This was the piece that always made the dabs suck if I put in too much wax, not removing the HT helped a lot.

Also the hits are big, so if you take too big of one and start coughing for awhile your dab is cooking. Try to make the hits something you can take, hold for a second or two, breath out and jump right back in until you get all the goodies.

6. Clear on the last hit to get the vapor out of your HT. Do NOT keep drawing until their is no vapor. The moment my vapor gets light and wispy I clear my HT.

So thats my attempt to explain the process. From the time I drop the nail in and cover it with my finger, shake, put on HT, turn the whole thing at an angle a couple times and start to hit it is probably 12-15 seconds. If you take too long on this you may get a burnt hit as well.

All this probably wouldn't be as necessary, but I like to take the big dabs and this method works for me. Doing it this way gives me really big hits in a row which is so awesome, the VXL makes so much vapor from concentrates.

Hope it helps! If anyone else has some great new tips I'd love to hear it as well.

Got my Evo 24 hours ago, and I really like it so far, the weird smell has worn off, and after some experimenting im now getting evenly vaped material, and good results with small amounts.

Seems i got the hang of the standard mouthpiece aswell, yesterday it was really irritating my thraot but a little less heat and intense draws and its fine.

I definetly need a smaller piece, my big bongs are just tooooo exhausting to milk, and too smooth for me^^ I want it at least a little rough.

I need to time my warm up some time, seems extremely short, somewhere around 2 minutes? Mostly using settings around 12 on the dial

Do you have a hydratube? If not, I would recommend one. I have a few normal rigs but the Evo just pairs so well with the HT.

My Evo is probably about the same in heat up time. If you have not tried a higher temp yet, say between 2-3, you have something else to look forward to. Sometimes I will fill 2 ELB's with enough for a big hit in each one, turn the Evo on to 2:30 or so and rip it like crazy. You can thank me later :)

HT s are a bit Outside of my Budget for now, thinking abou Getting one from dhgate for now.
Almost 200 Euro for a HT is Pretty hefty...

Any recomendations? That cheap Glass Thread is wayyyyyyyyyy to long and random xD

Understandable, they are pricey. I bought a factory2nd from Vapeexhale. They are much cheaper and the I cant see anything wrong with the one I have. If you are not in USA, not sure if you have access to their website or if they ship overseas.

I looked at ordering from their site, some nails and some cans, but the shipping is crazy to Canada. They were just under $50USD which would be close to $70CDN, I wasnt about to pay that. No idea why the shipping costs were so high, and that was for only small items. Couldnt imagine what they would be on a larger pachage.

I usually wait 15-20 minutes to get the best vapes. I also have a hydra-tube and it's a must have. Watch out when you remove it, after a while the tube inside will become loose if you twist it. Keep everything very clean with 70% alcool.

Check out cloudytubes.ca for really nice nails for the Evo and they are located in Canada. I got a few and happen to like them just as much as the stock nails if not better as they seem a tad thicker .

i broke another nail today!

do you think a unbreakable has any potential or it is just me?

maybe i need to have some made just for my needs since i the only one with a problem?

The EVO I use a lot but maybe it hates me?
I love the flavor regardless!

Ouch , I think unbreakable is a great idea , me personally I am super careful and have not broke one yet. I don't see how it could be glass and unbreakable , maybe try and have something made in titanium but make sure it's very thin so it retains heat and works. Taste prob will not be as good though. Maybe titanium with a quartz insert or even ceramic or Sic. I just don't know who could make one , hmm China ... I don't think Evo hates you , more of a love hate relationship . I just don't break glass like you ataxian, I think you may have to start keeping everything bubble wrapped and use it while it's wrapped lol .

If I was whole like you?

I have late on set ATAXIA SCA TYPE 6.

I break glass daily.

SILICONE might be the material?
Monday the machine shops will get a visit?

I am CIVILIZED otherwise.

Too bad we don't stay young forever?

I use a MOD for CONCENTRATES for now.
The QUARTS NAILS were great while they lasted?

No Carpet in my house!

EVO for FLOWERS for now!

Machine shop MONDAY!

I have UNCIVILIZED NAIL'S and MODS for WAX.
My torch is full at least?

The EVO NAIL setup is great if you have carpet or no MEDICAL need?

So here's my initial impressions of the Vapexhale Incycler I received a few days ago, pictured below. My references for comparison will be a Vapexhale Hydrabomb and a DHgate symbiartic clone

D7PI6hJ.jpg

Overall I really really like this incycler. This is the first recycler type piece I've owned and I am a big fan of the smoothness of the hits. Cloud production doesn't seem to be as high as with the hydrabomb or the symbiartic clone but the smoothness of the vapor from either would not be able to compete with this incycler. The visual aesthetic of watching the water moving from chamber to chamber is some nice little eye candy too. Now on to the one negative thing I have to say regarding this piece.

It is an absolute pain to change the water and clean this piece. When you want to rinse the piece out getting water out of the bottom chamber kind of reminds me of one of those games I played as a kid that was built into those cheap pens. You know what I'm talking about where theirs a ball in a little maze inside the pen and you have to tip the pen a certain way to get it going past the maze and to the other side. This is pretty much what I feel like I'm doing when I am trying to get the water out of the chambers of this hydratube. If you're anything like me and enjoy rinsing your hydratube and changing your water every 2-3 bowls at least this might be considered a bit of a hassle, nothing too major though.

All in all I would heartily recommend this as a hydra tube if you're interest is getting a nice sized hit with immensely cool vapor. If you're looking to milk bigger hits and that's it I might stick with the hydrabomb.

Hi @ataxian - I do sadden at news of your "ataxian and glass" accidents, especially when its a piece you really love.

No, the EVO doesn't hate you and you sure don't need me to tell you that! LOL

Titanium nail is a very interesting idea. Would take a pretty competent machine shop with some heavy tooling, I believe, but it should be eminently doable. George over at DynaVap is now machining all of his own Ti tips, etc for the VapCaps and that's a similar (even more complex) machining job.

While Ti for an EVO nail may not taste as good as glass, Ti has much better conductivity than glass so if you get the walls similarly thick then it should heat even faster.

I think you are on to something here for you. Ti EVO nails, yeah baby!

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
SILICONE might be the material?
It saved me enough times. You can be fussy and get one that really suits you or even a dab mat might help at the desk.
Anything that prevents those cylinders from rolling off the desk. I have a silicone strip that I store the nail in, when not in use.
don't see how it could be glass and unbreakable
True. Some types of glass are more shock resistant. Certain shapes tend to allow for more gravity drops.
One example, I quit buying the normal 18mm to 14mm adapters with the bulged center because they tend to break (even had some that were sold as a selling point of being annealed) and started buying these instead.
So my EVO can pair up with my FCball.
I have placed silicone strips cut from silicone whip hose to put around the outside of adapters. That has broken the fall out of several of my pieces.
The EVO I use a lot but maybe it hates me?
I love the flavor regardless!
It doesn't hate you so much as fears you. It is surrounded by the sound of breaking glass. All those lost comrades hitting those tiles.
Had a silicone band around my HT for extra grip. If you make things more fumble proof AND fumble friendly, then you can treat your glass more civilized.

I just got better with cleaning my arsenal and posted my work. The method I came up with tub and the silicone mat is explained. It also explains a way of being more careful with those round pieces that want to roll around.

My second EVO doesn't have the power like my first one. :hmm: It is a used unit and heats up/down little differently, If I'm reading the indicator light correctly. Will try the 12 oclock/5x reset trick again. Have heard a small amount of talk about different revisions of the EVO. Like having either the plastic or metal knob.

@Baron23 I have a medical need.
I was go back to aluminum foil a match and straw for concentrates. However too much work.

TI2 or SILICONE would work?
I need to hit up George maybe he can help?

I was going to go back to combustion however the taste is not as good as vaporizing?

Kind of like the DARK AGES?

Yes, I think most of us are aware of your medical situation and how that makes it so difficult for you to keep glass intact. We are with you, brother.

Hitting up George and see if he would be willing to make you a couple of EVO nails out of Ti as a custom one-off job sounds like a great idea. Perhaps with the thought that this is a one time effort on behalf of somebody with serious medical issues. Maybe then he would agree to try to make some on the brand new machine tools he just got for Ti work but these machine tools are for his VapCap production so it may not be feasible. But worth a try, eh?

I have no idea how much a custom Ti machining job would cost, but the suckers should last you a lifetime, yeah?!:tup:

P.S. - I don't see how silicone could be made to work. Its heat resistant but it also is not heat conductive.

. . . Watch out when you remove it, after a while the tube inside will become loose if you twist it . . .

Agreed. I've had to send mine back 3 times because of this. When the bamboo comes loose, the unit starts operating hotter (and taste suffers).

No more twisting for me!

The bamboo is held in place by friction. Twisting it can not only loosen the bamboo, that can also easily break it. If you get a substantial increase in heat while at the same setting, there is a good chance the bamboo cracked; the resulting additional air intake can be the reason for the greater heat.

GonG joints should never ever be twisted, whether on the EVO or any other glass joints (unless the glass is designed to allow that). The EVO joint is very slightly shaved to protect against joint lock, but if it happens, gently rocking the HT should free it.

George seems like a cool guy.
Maybe he will make a TI NAIL for my EVO?
I use my MOD 4 now. (too much concentrate)
Super cheap now?
I was stupid, dumb, lame for breaking my last QUARTS NAILS. (OK LAME ASS)

I'm not sold on the ti nail....
I wouldn't be able to see how clean it was....
This may end up producing bad taste when the uncleaned residue accumulates...

Put it in ISO and it will be clean.

Most importantly for someone like @ataxian, who has a movement disorder (well, a disorder that affects movement and body control), who cares if you can see it. Ti nail....torch it, ISO it, do whatever is needed to periodically clean it. But at least he won't be able to break it.

For someone with ocd, it's a no go.....
Iso is no magical cleaner that guarantees to remove all residue and stains, especially burnt crud from a nail...

I just couldn't live with not being able to see in it..... let alone judging my load.... i jus like to see it.....
