I've been meaning to stop by and thank DDave for "modding" his mods, with the newer glass that holds the desired heat longer, for more extended sessions...but have been too immolated (in the best sense) to remember to do so. Hey Dave, way to look out for your customers with the new items! Lucky for me, I haven't had any frozen glass joints, but I have been close, having them get "stuck" occassionally, but I manage to get them "un-stuck"

I did get an original arizer eq cyclone bowl stuck with a glass elbow in it one time, and I couldn't un-freeze it no matter what I did. Anyways, a couple of questions about the beeswax:

• How long does the wax stay on your joints, after cleaning? I like to clean my angled elbow adapters with some frequency so it doesn't get too musty and crumbed up. Does soaking a glass joint in alcohol dissolve the beeswax off?
• How many 14 or 18mm glass joints can you wax up with a single bead of wax?
• Is the beeswax emissive in our vapor path? Does it off-gass itself, since the glass joints it's touching can become hot? Or does it not do that because our vapor paths, glass joints, should be air-tight? Or does it just not emit also?

But anyways, I'm gonna hop on the new website and grab a few packs, since they're cheap, and I can hop in on the sale, last minute.

Also, David! I didn't see you promoting your new "dry flavor savor" whip attachments. Did I miss it, posted somewhere else, or is it brand new, or are you just being modest?


These look pretty cool, (literally) I do favor wet hits, but I must concede there is some flavor to be lost. Since these have standard 14 & 18mm joints, they will also work with the new matching sized glass adapters for my DT v3.0 ceramic donut attys (my favorite ) so I think I'll try a couple of these glass atty's out too!

Now I have the 18mm adapter mod on my vtower.
Been useing it for a bit.
I have noticed that I am useing more herb than I'm used to.
But, in context, I was useing a arizer solo before.
In your opinion, Is the 14mm mod a little more efficient than the 18??
If so I'm gonna order the 14 mm kit.

The 14 doesn't hit as hard as the 18 in my opinion, and that leads to more goes...

I find that with the 18mm, if you only fill it a third, instead of full, it works just as well, and saves you 2 thirds of herb.....

Depends on your tolerance. If you're coming from a Solo stem, the 14mm setup accommodates a similar sized load. Due to micro-dosing, this is the setup I use on the EQ.

It's about 2 more weeks before next expected EQ mod release. There will be both 14mm and 18mm pieces to the new mod. Stay tuned!

Quick Announcement relating to Whip Tubing!

To better accommodate the varied preferences that exist amongst Whip Vape Aficionados, I've secured a 2nd type of whip tubing which is thicker walled and more rigid than the original tubing in the mod kits. Same Internal Diameter as original tubing, so still works with all the kit pieces.

All EQ Mod Kits will now include 2.5' of each. For the individually sized kits (18mm Only or 14mm Only), it means you get 2.5' additional whip tubing at no increase in cost.

Well I'm going to do my best to write a post now. I just finish my first arizer E3 session and I jumped right in the deep end with the DDave mod. I have been reading through the 2 threads and all the hype is true. I'm am a chronic smoker and I feel like a had a serious dab session and I only smoked half a gram to a gram. I can't believe how efficient and effective this setup is. Why did it take me so long to find you guys! I have been a bong smoker my whole life. I never got got as high off joints, pipes, vapourizers of the past. This is my new go to (and now I need to find a good portable) way of smoking. Not to mention this is SO much smoother, less destructive on my lungs. After all the years of literally inhaling smoke, my lungs will be so much happier. This I feel is the least harmful way of "smoking"/vaping my herb.

I ordered both the arizer and the mod kit last Friday, from seperate locations. I bought the arizer here in Canada and the mod kit from DDave in the States. I only expected to receive my mod kit after I recieved my arizer thanks to custom boarder officials having to approve my package. However DDave mailed my kit the next day, a Saturday.So low and be hold upon returning home from work today on my door step was my arizer, but my beautiful mod kit was sitting right beside it as well. I had excitingly read through DDave website and I remembered to specify which whip I wanted but I forgot to mention to send the free long cyclone bowl. However after reading through this thread, in true DDave fashion it was included in my kit. Thanks DDAVE for the amazing product and the amazing service. I appreciate all your hard work.

I set my arizer up to my bong but it is too large for this setup. My buddy gave me a dab rig a few years back so I hooked it up to that and it works really well. Perfect for now but when funds are right I will get a little water piece. I was reading you guys use the D020d. I'm doing power hits at 200, at fan speed 2 and I am getting crazy clouds. Not sure how to attach a picture or else I would show my setup. Says to select url, not quite sure. I'll try to figure it out.

Arizer are about to release a new portable....

No idea how to use imgur. Here's my setup. I've gone back to my large bong instead of my little bubbler. There's no way to clear the chamber on it. I really want to ordered the D020d now. https://imgur.com/a/fT6TG

Now I am a complete noob to the vap scene and only have done a dozen sessions however I have found 2 small hacks. Not saying I'm inventing anything, I'm sure someone else is doing this somewhere. Firstly my wand had become frozen in my cyclone bowl. I had applied extra beeswax when I first got it. I had to take it with both hands, twist and pull at the same time and I was worried I was going to break it. It did come apart with some force. Clearly I had residue and even a little brown burnt marks. So I took a paper towel with just a little isoproypal alcohol and wiped down the connections both male and female ends. The connections are now silky smooth. So as long as every half dozen sessions I just give the connections a quick wipe down I have no problems. Secondly for cleaning my basket screen. I love this setup and I need it running in top form so my OCD kicks in. When cleaning out the used material of the basket screen, I pick it out with my vap tool but there is always a little bit at the bottom I got to scrape really well to remove and it is still difficult to get it all. So the other night I am at my work bench vaping, all my RC gear right is hand and I am cleaning a bowl, "there has got to be a better way". So I grabbed an unused paint brush sitting right in front of me and I found it perfect for cleaning the last bit out of the basket screen. So yeah there's my 2 hacks, clean your connections with iso regularly and clean you basket screens with a small paint brush. https://imgur.com/zcoN2GN

I bought the d020d for my eq....
I never really got on with it, so used my eq dry... I used it with my solo mostly.......
Occasionally with the vapcap now...

But once I got an evo, I tried the hydratube on top of the eq..... and it works very well...
Almost (embarrassingly) as good as the evo.....
Shhhhh....

Anyway if your gonna buy a $30 piece from dhgate, I would suggest looking at the ht's.....

Sorry I've read through this thread and and I don't recall seeing anywhere mentioned what the large flat screens are for? I could mange the smaller screen in the cyclone bowl but what are the larger flat screens for? Also I buckled and bought a new draw piece. Screens were recently resized to be a bit smaller than the center glass ring of the adapters to make cleaning the adapters without removing the screens possible.

Some liked the previous fit of the screens touching all sides of the ring of the adapters, so I include both sizes with the kits.

You can use either. Neither will impact performance.

I'm generally pretty good at it.

However, I just got the EQ on sale and am waiting for V3 to "Release the Beast". I have gone almost completely to concentrates as the portable herb vapes have not made me happy as yet. I'm trying the elbow pack while waiting. It is good, but not a beast.

So, I guess my comment was not on people in general but on the potential difference between the difficulty of our waits.
