However, are there any loss of actives leaving it out to the air like that? Or is a day not enough time? I just figured that the aromatics wouldn't be a good as "fresh".
Whole bud can probably stay out for a long time but ground bud loses flavour quickly and will be stale in the next two days from my experience.

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Just caught up on all this slx drama and am discouraged from making it my next grinder. Glad they are backing everyone but seems like a high fail rate considering the small number of purchasers in this thread... I really wanted a nonstick option. Is there anything else out there besides slx and sc offering that feature?

@George1151 and gr8tr- this is so overly complicated and overengineered, and this is coming from an engineer! So many parts to fail...
Sorry to arrive late to that discussion or perhaps the perfect time. So I too was looking at nonstick grinder today. Own an SCS and a Haze already. So I'm avoiding a downgrade as nonstick grinder. Is there any negatives to a non-stick SC?

If you're talking about a space case titanium it's not really non-stick. It's more of a scratch resistant coating that is tougher than regular anodizing and doesn't flake.

I absolutely love my SC titanium and would attest to it not being a downgrade in the slightest. My only issue is not cleaning the screen, which resulted in slower than normal kief collection as the holes are pretty damn small. The plus side of that is the collected kief has basically no plant matter in it.

as the owner of an old titanium 2 pc space case....the coating starts wearing off eventually
Yeah it does wear off eventually but it's a very tough coating that will out last regular anodizing. I've had my small 4 pc SC Ti for 4-5 years now and there's a little bit of wear on the corners that see use. It's nothing like what I would expect to see on normal anodized finishes that typically wear through to bare aluminum.

I just got my Lift grinder, previously known as The Clipper (indiegogo). I can tell you this is the best grinder I have ever used by a long shot -- this is the grinder perfected. People with physical issues that may find using an herb grinder is difficult will want to purchase this grinder. Grinders do not get any better than this, so far anyway.

I have this three-piece below and it came with coarse, medium, and fine screens.

Well, that's unique. How does the finished bud come out as compared to standard teeth grinders?

That is great that you say it would be a fine choice for those with physical issues etc.
Is taking it apart and cleaning also easy for those with issues?

The Lift is the only grinder that interests me right now. Looks about perfect & by the time it is off pre order there will be plenty of user feedback. Just about everything I have read about this grinder over the last year or so is positive. Pretty sure there was some negative feedback about small things that were addressed during development?

This is the first time I've seen this grinder. Reminds of when I used to use a scissors and a shot glass to cut up my buds. While it was always more of a hassle than using a regular grinder, I always liked the results better. It just seemed that my bud came out more potent than when I used a grinder, maybe because when cutting, more of the kief stays on the bud. Seems logical, right?

Yeah that could be the one gets me to shell out big bucks for a grinder some day, glad to see more positive feedback from good members here. Thanks @steama (& @virtualpurple)!

Meanwhile still waiting on my Amazon gift card (if it's even still coming?) So I can get a purple 2.4inch SLX2.0 at a discount... Enjoying the 2.2inch SCS 3 piece, but yeah it's more for course grinds really (wish it was a bit more evenly so though, comes down to holes?) So I am still using my old-teethed SCS 4 piece as an upside down 3 piece for finer grinds since it's already worn and gets gummed up/poked out. I go upside down in my new 3 piece a bit not for too long before flipping to keep it in good condition longer. It is really nice imo!

May have to try curing the herbs a bit to get that finer more consistent grind, I do like how fresh and moist the dispensary herbs are, amazing taste and smells, but I may be experiencing that issue a bit lately as a result... Maybe I should try em in the mflb finishing grinder finally

I can say that taking the grinder apart to change the grind size is easy as pie. As @steama mentions, it had a tool that makes it a very quick process and requires very little effort and I imagine would be great even for those with limited hand mobility. As long as you can rotate that tool in place the prongs will fall right into place.

The grinding itself is even smoother. The blades minimize any resistance. The only thing that some people may not enjoy is that it makes the stems stick out a little bit more than a standard tooth grinder. I don't mind this though I wish there were an easier way to sift out the stem bits.

I have not changed out the sifting screens at all (though they look very easy to change as well).

The fine grind is fine, but not as fine as I am able to get by turning my space case upside down and putting in some time rotating, which you cannot do with the blade setup. However, I love this grinder and if I wanted a superfine grind I would probably just snag a finishing grinder (I believe @stickstones recently mentioned a grinder that performs fine grinds well).

@Aimless Ryan if you were in the grinder market I think this one would perform well.

When I am able to resume again from my t-break I think I will remove the filter screen altogether for a bit because I know some people prefer 3-piece grinders and prefer to not have that Kief separated.

I cannot recall if I was able to post pictures of the grinds in the past (I think I had trouble uploading to imageshack). In my photos the size difference between the medium and fine grind is not noticeable but I can certainly see the difference before my eyes. Prior to my break I was using all three grind sizes regularly and having trouble picking out a favorite!

All in all I think that grinder is a steal, and I had extremely prompt customer service when they accidentally sent me two medium grinding plates instead of 1 medium and 1 fine. They even threw in a couple awesome decals for the trouble.

I've been enjoying my SW2 so far. Very consistent with what I've put through... and I don't have to push very hard. With my mendo mulcher 2pc it usually required some force but this is pretty smooth.

Hopefully Sunday can post some pics. Haven't been able to get a good natural light photo op. Also the chamber is massive lol. I think I may just store small buds in the kief chamber when out and about, but could easily fit a ground-up eighth in the "main" chamber. With the kief screen removed it'd be something silly like 5g+ ground up lol

I just sent Kannastor a message asking to see if I could get a coarse grind plate for my GR8TR Vape. I'm finding that the fine grind is just a bit too fine for my Herbalizer and Vapcap. Yet it's perfect for my Mighty. I looked on their site but there's no option to buy extra parts for a GR8TR which is odd considering the modular nature of the grinder. One could transform a GR8TR into a kief classifier, or make a really tall collection chamber if one was processing a lot of weed for edibles. It would just need the option of buying extra parts.

Thanks for the details. :)
NewVapes Fine grinder does a "fine" job. I like that and the GR8TR equally for fine grind.

They do not sell the grates individually last time I asked. I hope they change that policy.
But I doubt they will.
I have the version that came with both plates.

Almost there...
Ok, this is all I have to post about the Lift grinder. I have used all the grinding screens and I like the fine the best for the way I vape. This is the best grinder I have ever used by a country mile. There is nothing else like it available. It is revolutionary. As far as grinders go it changes everything.

Maybe it should be called a 'cutter' because it actually cuts not grinds.

Can't wait for mine to finally arrive! Hopefully in a month or so!
I also ordered a fine screen with mine!
Still loving my Kannasotr GR8TR but this one was too good to pass on.

YES! Happy to see you joining the club! Don't let me and @steama have all the fun!

I love how literally every grind keeps the material nice and fluffy. The blades have never shown any sign of dulling and although I only do one or two nugs at a time I think this thing could be packed full and still produce an even, consistent grind (with exception of the stem bits) without any resistance! I think you'll be really impressed!

After years of using my black leaf matrix grinder I decided to look for something new and ordered a black leaf cross grinder.

I really don't mind for the pollen catcher and will turn it into a 3 part grinder soon as it gets here.

Has the same trapezium teeth as the matrix, and also more familiar here, SCS. The cross grinder solves the one issue I had with the matrix grinder, namely the little groves on the lid that with a lot of pressure could actually leave slight cut marks on your finger. Still, I preferred the way it grinds over any other grinder I have ever had.

The trapezium teeth seem to be more effective in my experience. This cross grinder has some straight parts in the lid making for an easier grip.

For 27 euros shipped(on eBay I found them) not a bad deal I think.

Love my slx 2.0. Shop near me carried it and I couldn't resist! The one I got has a bit of an off fit to the screen/bowl. Some angles it pops out easy, some you have to really pull. Was this on purpose maybe? I kind of doubt that was honestly, it's sort of handy, but I'm worried I might spill the chamber by mistake trying to get it out for some keif at some point. Other than that I love it. Grinds very consistently and surprisingly quickly. Keif collector is a bit slow, but I'm fairly sure that's just the medicine I'm putting through it. It alsodoesn't get dirty. I've put it through quite a bit of testing, where my mendo would have needed to be cleaned twice, this thing still looks almost new. No flaking either. Teflon ring seems a bit flimsy though.

Overall 8/10
