The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Many people can't handle 210c from the start, but when temp stepped up from 185/190 it actually isn't too bad. So you're right, and that's when my muzzmod comes into play....FULL BOWL to the brim, 210c, 30 second heat soak, and bomb's away!

Here is a vid from about a year ago using the SonG with a .1g bowl that I crushed in one rip. And speaking of rip, the glass piece in that vid can now R.I.P! It died when it met the ceramic floor a couple of nights ago!

Dude...how were you even conscious after that?

I go where the thrills are
I recently started using the fine screens, meant for the bottom of the bowl, in the CU, specifically to filter out the finer debris that seems to escape from the holes in the (otherwise fabulous) dosing capsules. There seem to be two side-effects to this: one, the CU stays much cleaner than when using the coarse stock CU screens...and two, the fine mesh screen gets clogged really easily, leading to performance degradation.

I also discovered that removing the CU screen every time you clean the CU is a good idea, as all kinds of crap builds up on the little plastic platform right beneath (or above) the CU screen. This buildup, IME, doesn't seem to be removed by a long CU soak in ISO....so I've started to remove the CU screen every time. This leads to the third side-effect...the CU screen gets degraded more quickly by constant removal, and also, it can be a bitch to clean once a lot builds up on it.

All of this is my long-winded intro to my quest to get more fine-mesh screens. SB includes only one extra per Mighty, so once you replace the coarse CU screen, you're outta extras. I was considering ordering some from SB (they do have a "normal" screen pack that is entirely the fine-mesh ones). But I figured I'd hunt around the house first.

And VOILA....those Firefly 1 screens, that I have tons of, that I never use anymore because I use the FF2 instead...fit the Mighty CU perfectly.

So, if it hasn't already been discussed (and if it has, I missed it), any FF1 owners looking for fine-mesh screens for your Mighty, CU or bowl, the Firefly 1 screens are identical.

hey fellow FC-ers!
after months of himming and hawing ,I went to purchase a mighty yesterday from the Storz and Bickel EU site ( I am in Ireland) and at the checkout it showed the possible tax and extra charges of 60 Euro on top of the 348 Euro price tag, so I guess my question is even though I am in Ireland and the mighty is coming from Germany EU will I have to pay these darn import charges if I am in a Europe?

thanks for any info you can give..

Good morning.

How does the Mighty fare with respect to its battery lives and its power connector, esp. relative to the Crafty?

I have returned my Crafty to S&B for a second time due to poor battery performance and a faulty/shorting USB connection and am wondering if trading up to a Mighty (assuming S&B will let me) will solve these two problems. What I do *not* want is a Crafty x 2 with two faulty batteries that hold little charge after 4 months or so of good use and another USB connector that fizzles in and out all night.

Thank you.

I upgraded to Mighty after returning four Craftys; just do it and you'll be so happy! I feel like this is the original design, working as intended.

Batteries run cooler as they each work half as hard.
Your hand doesn't touch the heater anymore, as it's suspended in the middle
Mouthpiece is bigger and cools vapor even more.
No more phone app, blinking lights, or carrying a battery pack.
Reaches temp faster.
No USB, a real 12 volt wall charger
8 bowls per charge (Crafty starts out at 4 , then drops to 3)
Can be used even when battery is completely empty.

The Mighty blows away the Crafty imo; vape on!

Thank you for the specific (personal) anecdotes. Much prefer them to marketing hyperbole! I will upgrade if/when offered based on my multiple requests to S&B.

@lazylathe that s the right spirit - milk it up! ;-)

@Reggie Watts love your work for quite some time, really nice to have you on FC.

Mighty vs. Crafty: In my Opinion, the Mighty is the "real Deal", Crafty should be considered if you own and love a Mighty and want a smaller Option for the one Bowl after work or something like that. The Crafty is a one man/woman personal vape and should Compliment another, more robust, one.

Just my 2 cent

Gracias, I used my fine screen since day 1 of my Mighty and agree with a lot of your opinions. I clean my CU when I notice air impediment, more often its from screen.

I always remove my screen when I clean the CU, cause 1 it always is super dirty and needs the clean cause it's the finer mesh, and also because of what you said about the residue. That stuff is hardest to clean IMO. q tips work good.

I sold my Firefly 1, but I kept all the screens  so gracias on the suggestion!

Cleaning my CU screen is a breeze and it has retained its integrity basically since Day 1. I pop screen out. I throw it on a Pyrex dish I have. I take my Butane Torch I use for dabs, but the smaller torches work good too. Turn it on low, gradually heat your screen. Increase heat a bit and continue to heat the screen. You want to get your screen glowing, but a slower ramp up to that glowing state works better for cleaning rather than just blasting it with a super hot big flame. Once glowing, splash a water on the screen, turn it upside down, do the other side, again splash of water when done to cool it off, and the screen is good as new albeit its a bit less flexible than when I got it.

A little over a week ago I sent my beloved Mighty to Oakland CA. to get repaired or replaced. Let me first say I've had my mighty for just short of two years and in that time I have really put quite the beating on this thing. The casing was starting to come apart along with broken fins & problems getting a consistent charge. 8 days later I received a tracking number and shipping confirmation from FedEx followed by an email from S&B saying that my RMA was closed and my device was either repaired or replaced and has already been shipped back. Wow! I really hope it is a new unit:rockon:My mighty was in such bad shape I think it would've taken "macgyver" himself to repair that bad boy lol Either way I can't wait to get my baby back! Shoutout to S&B for such a smooth hassle free process:tup:

After receiving the wpa/muzzmod I have even more appreciation for the Mighty! Slides into position with the slightest of turn. However, I did have to make a quick mod to it. I don't know if it has been said before this type of wpa, only has the glass, screen and plastic housing. The glass just sits in the plastic and the plastic doesn't create a seal, so it will wobble some, create a weaker connection imo, and the glass easily falls through the bottom if not handled correctly. The mod is so simple, many probably already did it, or could do it very easily. I just took some silicone tubing cut about 1/4" and slid it up to the second notch on the glass. Now my wpa works the way I envisioned when purchasing. Now it's time to make some sammichs, have a great day Mighty fanatics!

The silicone tubing is slid up to the end of the second notch on glass wpa. When placed firmly into the plastic housing it creates a firm enough seal to fix the wobbly subpar connection. As well as creating a union between the pieces, so you can handle it as one item instead of two separate. :peace:

Where is that muzzle mod from? And where you get the tubing from? Just curious as I'm awaiting one and expecting exactly what your saying. Wouldn't the silicone melt? Or the heat isn't a factor? Read on here someone using jb weld lol. Just looking for the best fix. Thinking now I should've ordered a fitting to go on the mouth piece lmao. Just spent all my pennies that I was saving for another mighty.
