How did you connect the hose to the top of the rain tree? Just ram it in?

And then coming out of the rain tree just fit the hose over the barb and ziptie?

What exactly is the elbow pack method? Just cramming herbs into the little steel screen of the elbow?

@thecragus has already replied re the glass setup. Fwiw, this looks very much like what 7th Floor sells, i.e., a tree bubbler with a female GonG on top, the mouthpiece is a Sherlock held in place with a Keck clip.

You can read abt the elbow pack on the Q's Vaporpedia page, or doing a search here - there are many posts abt it. (I wouldn't suggest "cramming" - too tight a pack will restrict air flow and the herb will not evenly vape; just some light tapping will hold the herb in the screen.)

@thecragus & @Theo, thx for the replies re the heat and and apparently negligible efficiency effects. I use a 2' length simply because it's most convenient. Anything shorter and I have to be either seated or if standing I have to bend forward which restricts intake.

today I made a home-made essential vape, w/ the eq aroma bowl and a mouthpiece. works just as well as the essential vape, plus it has the bonus of being all glass. You'll need to cap the end, so you don't lose vapor. AL foil works well, just poke 10-15 pin size holes to allow air flow. heat with bic/candle/similar; a torch is probably too hot. definitely pleased I found a way to get high with the aroma bowl. enjoy :D

I used the mouthpiece from my bubbler, but the eq whips work as well

Hey Guys and Gals,
So just by serendipity, I ended up with two Extremes. I have been turning on both at once and loading them up. Stick both hoses in my mouth at once and hit them both simultaneously. WHOA! talk about milk hits. I couldnt do this all the time (a tad harsh) but I thought you guys could appreciate this Extreme form of Vaping! Peace. :ko:

So I'm reading up on the Extreme-Q thread from the beginning. On page 17 now. Lots of info, most of it repedative but very interesting nugs in here, pardon the pun. But I just wanted to share a magical discovery I completely accidentally made. Vaping while I'm eating cookies is insanely effing delicious. Anyone else have interesting food combinations? Possibly different strands add to different foods. For instance, Kushes go better with pasta while Diesels go with pizza. Interesting.....

Also, not sure if this is mentioned yet or not, but I have found Tokeez bags to be the best possible, hands down. Available on Vapeworld. With the free shipping, they are definitely a must have, IMO :2c: .

Has anyone set up a vertical lift off bag on the Eq yet.still waiting to see that

I saw a link to something where there was a picture of it, so I have seen it. But as to how to, I have no idea. There's a guy on here called the electrician that has some pretty crazy set ups.

not sure if I know exactly what you are referring to but I bought an adapter from warehousegoodsonline and it's like an EQ elbow without the elbow bend. So I tried filling a bag with it and it kinda just flopped over so I went back to the elbow for bags and only used the adapter for bonging. Regardless, I can't stand bags so I went back to the whip, and then I couldn't stand the whip, so I sold the EQ lol I don't want any whips or bags in my vapor path, only glass :)

I got myself a V-Tower and love it. It is, however, very harsh and I'd like to do the GonG/bubbler/bong connection. From what I have gathered from reading this thread, I need another elbow and a 14-18mm converter so I can use an 18mm joint bong because it is easier to find. Is this correct? Can anyone give me some recommendations for inexpensive, decent glass pieces with water filtration? Also, is there any place for me to buy the silicone tubing other than amazon? I don't need 10 feet of tubing, and I have no interest in paying $30 for it.

Thanks!

If you have a second elbow bowl, you could use that as a gong adapter, if your glass is 18mm. As for tubing- us plastics, mcmaster carr, or I get my tubing from home depot; $.30/ft and tastes fine.

Yes, you will need one more arizer elbow and you will not need the converter if you are going to have an 18.8mm joint bong.
Keep in mind, you could also just get an aqua vape from vaporfection.com and that would connect to the end of your tubing. Then you would not need a glass elbow. I think they are under $60, but not sure.
As for the tubing, US plastics has very good silicone tubing. Item 54035 is the tubing size/type you will need that fit the EQ elbows. I think I payed about 15 shipped for 10 feet.

Again, I didn't have much luck with it...the bag just flops over and I went back to the elbow. That adapter piece kicks ass for vapor bonging, albeit not completely necessary since the elbows fit the same.

Thats it vape4life...I just wanna blow a balloon like the volcano and that is the very piece i ordered..the 19mm straight whip adapter..its a man thing having a vertical balloon  and maybe even get some of gun tokeez bags to go with it.gawd i ve got the bug!

I bought my tubing 9mm x 12mm silicone tube fits elbows fine and allows easy removal too if you need to swap around pieces on the Q.wont blow off when youre bag fills either

The AV is an incredible add-on for any vaporist.
It will always filter the particles, add a little moist to the vape, and deliver a "smoother" vape.
It has very little water inside but this has 2 pro's IMO:
very little flavor/taste loss!!! More water=more taste loss to me!
1 mn to change the water so if you have a bottle of fresh water in the fridge, your AV will always cool down the vape! ;)

Personally I would say buy a travel tube of some sort for $65 versus the aqua-vape. I feel the aqua-vape is not worth the money, but I have not tried it first hand so I can't fully say.

One review of the Aqua Vape said that the little bit inside it broke during ISO cleaning, so that worried me enough to not get the aqua vape. Instead, I went with this little bad boy:

https://www.vaporstore.com/proddetail.php?prod=water-bubbler-vaporizer

Very excited for it to come. Used the discount that FC's got with it as well, and since it's 53, it had free priority shipping. I've been waiting anxiously for a water hookup, and vapeworld was out of stock of the 14mm attachment when I ordered it, so it didn't come with my Tokeez bags. I'm super excited. The EQ was great when my friend had it, but now that I've got mine I can do so much, and with these add-ons... Well, I'm just floored. :D

I do not see how you could possibly break anything in the AV with an iso wash... but OK fair enough!

And guys I also have an SGW micro bubbler etc... But for my whip vapes, having to deal with another "separated" glass piece" vs. the AV as a mouthpiece cannot be compared in terms of ergonomics/easiness to use/stealth IMO!

Maybe the saturn tammer from 7th floor will be as handy as the AV, I'll do a comparison soon...though I will be happy to have both and rotate from one to the other while cooling!

FLskwat,
I like my Aquavape for the fact that it's nice to have a thick glass piece to hold and to function as a mouthpiece but I HATE how much the airflow is reduced. I can get a thick hit, but it feels like I am blowing my head up like a balloon in the process. The very small holes in the perc are definitely not enough. This piece would be amazing with a showerhead or something with bigger slits.

Dry whip works best for me, and when it does start to dry out my throat I just grab my bubbler and vape through that.

That bubbler you posted Neeto is nice, I'd have bought that instead of an AV too.
